The reason why FAMU is standing in the back is because they remember what happened to them outside of Legion Field in 2004 at the Birmingham BOTBs. Their trumpets called out Trump Funk and got utterly embarassed in front of 6 different college bands. lol

honestly they kinda sloppy on this one. The Trumpet is a beautiful instrument. If you are planning on screamin, playing above a concert C then you need to control that shit, grip them notes like a pistol
Southern's trumpets do have divided parts, but i do get what you are saying about the missed notes, and the mellos and btones drowning them out sometimes, but the trumpets are more powerful than most HBCU trumpet sections. You have to admit that they are the two best though.
I have mad respect for NSU. But folks yall need to realize that NSU's trumpets aren't beasting like they were 5 years ago anymore. Guess no one saw band brawl this year when they got handled by scream machine.
