    Thankyou for such a relaxed video and glad your family had a great time. The pup looked like it spent most of the time napping lol so you will have to do the trip again! What is the shortest length of these on the pickup chassis? Many years ago I bought a dealer demo unit Sotty Motorhome on a back then Dodge pickup chassis with Cummins diesel. It averaged about 13 to 14 mpg but was only 25 foot and two wheel drive. We loved it!!!! Not as roomy as this one and no slides but handled like a truck with plenty of power! Great to see manufacturers are offering these again. But I would want a shorter version if offered. Thankyou!

      Thank you for watching and glad you liked the video! The pup is much bigger now so we definitely need to do it again! Stay tuned, we're planning on demoing a diesel pusher next!
      The shortest available on this type of chassis is the Dynamax Isata 5 28SS. It's built on the RAM chassis with a Cummins Diesel engine... similar to the one you had before! We did a walk through video on it if you'd like more info! czcams.com/video/Tnxj8crhFOs/video.html

      Thanks for watching! Yes, we went about 1700 miles and we traveled through the mountains and windy coastline and ended up with an average of about 11 mpg. We loved the 4x4 Super C! It's also one of our best sellers right now.

      IMO . I can’t imagine the 4 x 4 would hurt the fuel economy too much if at all. Nice rig/ trip thanks for the share.

    Looks like it was a great trip, Did you take the MH on the beach. If not how do you think it would handle the sand if you air down and 4x4.

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety +2

      We didn't try it because the access road we used was mainly used by atvs and very narrow, but if you had an easy access road I think it would do great on the beach.

    Any issues with the slide out not syncing properly? I think we have a lemon, it has been in the shop 3 times because the unit will not slide in properly about every 3rd time.

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety

      It's always a good idea to be fairly level when putting the slides in and out and it's even more important on a full wall slide. We haven't had any issues with them that we haven't been able to fix yet.

    I’ve heard most parks don’t have enough room for 35ft trailers? Is that true? Around here in MN, Wi they don’t let anything over 30ft on every place I called. Also how do we get to use the dealer demo haha? Want to go to Grand Canyon next year

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching! Out here on the west coast it's easy to find an RV Park to accommodate a 35' RV. If you want to go to state park campgrounds without hookups you'll have a harder time. I would say under 36' is fairly easy to find and once you go over that there are much fewer available spaces for you to fit in. There are quite a few great RV parks near the Grand Canyon! It's a pretty great perk to the job for me to get to use a dealer demo!

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching! The tank holds 65 gallons of water. If the campground you visit has hook-ups you can connect to their water and save yours. We did this most of the places and if our tank ever started to get low, we would just find a place to fill it up.

    With the slides in, will the King Bed lay flat while your driving down the road?

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 4 lety

      No, you have to tilt the bed up to have enough room to put the slide in. If you prefer one that will lay flat with the slides in you can get that in the XG32 floorplan.

  • @maoss40
    @maoss40 Před 3 lety

    Having a jayco E450 chassis 28' rv, not easy to driving, lots body movements need both hands holding the steering wheels all time, noise and bounce interior, really want something drive and rides better. Is this will rides and drives better than E450 chassis? Or if we want comfort ride we have to buy DP class A with air suspension?

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety

      This drives much easier than the E450 chassis. A lot more power and better handling. The Mercedes Sprinter chassis is one of the easiest handling motorhomes on the road (ie Forester MBS and Dynamax Isata 3) but only comes in a small 24' size. You will definitely get a very smooth, quiet ride in a Diesel Pusher with the air ride chassis. That is probably the smoothest and quietest, but they are the largest in size and less agile maneuvering in parking lots etc.

      @@demartinirvsales thanks for the reply, very detailed information. I still can't really make up my mind what fits us the best, we have 4 kids, oldest one is 6, we don't camp, we only go somewhere and back home same day, i really want a class B, is convenient go to places but i cant find any sleep more than 4, i need figured out the way can sleep 6 in case we camp one day. Also i really want a smallest DP class A, is way more comfortable and lots room when we camp, but it just not convenient for one day trips.

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety

      @@maoss40 Yes, it would be so hard to find a class B that would fit all of you and as your kids get bigger you'd would outgrow it very quickly! Also as your kids get older they will probably be requesting to camp as mine always do! The small diesel pushers are awesome. Check out our video on the Thor Palazzo czcams.com/video/ah5cXlQCCHg/video.html
      There are some Class B Vans that have a loft that may be able to sleep everyone but it's hard to find one with enough seatbelts for all of you. The Hymer Aktiv Loft 2.0 with the rear sofa bed would work, but the manufacturer is out of business now so you'd have to search for a used one.

    Is there lithium batteries? If not, how can you dry camp with such a large refrigerator? Is a three way or strictly residential?

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 3 lety

      It's a strictly residential refrigerator but this coach had extra solar put on the roof to keep the batteries charged. They are not lithium batteries but you can upgrade batteries to a deeper cell that takes longer to deplete and also charges faster. We found that as long as we had plenty of sunlight the solar would keep the batteries charged. We spent one night dry camping in a shady spot and had to run the generator for about an hour or two to keep the refrigerator going, but the solar kept up great as long as we had plenty of sun.

    Shouldn’t your child car seat be forward facing in the seat that has the anchor?

    • @demartinirvsales
      @demartinirvsales  Před 4 lety +1

      The anchor is in the booth dinette but her seat is so big that her legs wouldn't fit between the seat and the table. There are seatbelts that are anchored down behind the recliner/sofa which is still a safe and secure way to attach the carseat and was much more comfortable for her to ride in.
