I really hope Hall and Livramento can stay fit this season. Could be very exciting for club and country.
Honesly I know it is prediction of two years time, but I dont see Lewis Hall being better than Tyrick Mitchell in two years so I think he deserves a shout.
Hall will get there
Kyle walker is definetly out, he's washed in my opinion. Trent easily takes his place.
Surely it'll be between Ben White and Tent.
a fully fit reece james is untouchable
@@reals63tug10 who?
@@reals63tug10 ah yes, the unicorn that doesn't exist haha he will unfortunately never be able to play a full season and then an international tournament off the back of it, it aint happening 🤣
Mark my words Reece James will be back and playing as the best right back in the world by 2026.
I have a feeling Archie Gray would come into contention in a couple years time.
Potential Rice replacement right there. What a talent Archie Gray is
Ben White would probably come back now that Steve Holland is gone, no?
Depends if he can be arsed to play for England
Why would england fans want him back?
@@YeahThatYeah the story goes it was a falling out with Holland, not for lack of want.
@@christelleybanez4252 well England wouldn't have conceded those two goals vs Spain if it was Ben White at RB for starters.
@christelleybanez4252 maybe cos he's a bloody good right back. Who cares if he doesn't like football ffs, he peforms week in week out.
If it's Lee Carsley I can't help but think Harvey Elliott will be promoted to the first team at least. By far the most standout player for the under-21's.
I dont want Lee Carsley.
@@rjflores438that settles it then

From a Newcastle perspective, Hall, Liveramento and a bold shout on Lewis Miley who's underlying numbers as a 17 year old were phenomenal. He will grow into his already above average frame. Lewis Miley has said that his model player is Steven Gerrard, he has the Steven Gerrard physical build
Can you please refrain from referring to average children as “Steven gerrard” it’s embarrassing.
@@Lucky-ll2cv can you refrain from being a sensitive snowflake
@@Lucky-ll2cv Average? he said he could become a similar player, not he is him and at 17 playing very well against huge teams in champions league and in the prem it is not crazy to think he will become a world class player.
Why can’t Palmer just be that good? You’d think if a player scored that goal for your country in a final, he’d never be asked to prove anything ever again. I fear the names he has to step on to start for England will never allow him to be properly rated. He’s been better than Saka this season, better than Bellingham this season and is just a better player than him, and as good as Foden who won POTS. Not to mention, he was far more potent than all three of them in the Euros. He’s being treated as if he’s in a bracket below these guys and I find that hilarious.
too many variables for us to have a good idea of what the squad or team will look like, imagine even bringing up mainoo and wharton a couple years ago for this euros, and the managers play style, that being said i hope it’s graham potter 🤞
Livramento is class, but he's not a left back, just a right back who can play left.
Some of his best games for newcastle were at left back
I believe Trippier has had a good game or two at LB... Even Joe Gomez@@antonyallen8025
I’m surprised it’s even a conversation as to whether Kyle Walker should be in the squad when he’s 36 when TAA, Reece James, Livramento, Rico Lewis & Ben White will all be available
Exactly. England needs to wake up.
Just got beat by a 17yr old AND 21yr old athletic creative wingers.
Stop playing favourites and make room for your best (Trent) NOW
@@nudisco7882I’d love to see a 5 at the back with Trent as RWB and Reece James as RCB (assuming he’s fit)
@@tspcontent4630 Trent has to play or the rest of the players will question everything.
England can't make the same mistake with Kane as Portugal have done with Ronaldo, selecting a player to the detriment of the rest of the team
Felix was the one who messed up for Portugal. Last time I checked Ronaldo scored his penalty…
@@zigzagnemesist5074 How many goals did Ronaldo score?
We don't have a top replacement for Kane and I think the future is Bellingham or Palmer as a false 9.
I agree.
Don't need a top replacement for Kane.
My God, Spain had Morata in that same position and we're the best team in Europe with him!
watkins bagged more g/a than anyone else in the prem last season hows he not a top replacement? imagine if he had even half of palmers penalties added on
Watkins, Toney...
Will Lankshear in the Tottenham academy. Strikingly similar to Harry Kane and following the same sort of academy progression.
Pickford,Stones, Guehi, Colwill, Trent/James, Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham, Palmer, Watkins/Solanke, Saka/Foden
How is that much different from what just happened? Palmer is not a left winger! Gordon all day long...
None of them run in behind? We have Watkins, Bowen, and Gordon 46 goals combined just in the prem last season and they all run in behind
Foden can’t be a starter for England anymore based on the team balance, and his nothing performances. Enough is enough, how many tournaments do you want to give him?
Sure...
And obviously Bellingham has to always start and never get subbed cause reasons...
Just look at the semifinal and their respective performances and subbs.
@@tadeuszkubera3060Mate, Pep congratulated Jude for a brilliant Euros doing so much dirty work.
Eerily silent about his own guy Foden.
There's a reason.
Unless you're going to build the same system around Foden that he has at Man City it's going to be a mismatch at international level.
Glad colwill got some love , feel he’s become massively underrated because poch had him playing as an out and out Left back. Think marescas possession based system will massively suit him and the general perception of him in a years time will be so different to what it is now.
How has Angel Gomes's name not been mentioned. He has been one of the best midfielders in France for the last 2 or 3 seasons. He had the most assists in the French league last season as well as being in the top 3 for chances created. If Lee Carsley comes in, I can guarantee he will pick Gomes. He was his number 6 and Curtis Jones his number 8 for the European U21 championships last year which England won by winning all their games and conceding 0. They beat Germany, Portugal and Spain in the final. Carsley is a foreign type of manager who has very comfortable fullbacks (sometimes midfielders) and requista type defensive midfielders hence why Gomes and Jones played and why he plays Tyler Morton and Hayden Hackney now.
I would throw in James Mcatee, Carney Chukwameka, Archie Gray, Lewis Miley, Rico Lewis. They are as talented as they come. They just need a chance. Another big wildcard for the centre forward position is Miles Leaburn as we don't have many coming through. He is very interesting and I expect him to explode if he recovers from a serious injury he had last season. The last player I will mention is a controversial one - Mason Greenwood. I think in terms of talent and what he goes on to achieve in the next 2 years, he has to be picked. It's obviously not because of footballing reasons why he hasn't been mentioned and rightly so but the guy has paid his dues, is still with his girlfriend and has a kid with her...
Totally agree. Gomes was amazing in that u21 tournament.
Disappointed you didn't put Anthony Gordons name up there at all ? I think in 2 years time he'll be out best left winger and be starting.
When it comes to Curtis Jones, i think it'll depend a lot on the manager. If he wants to play an aggressive pressing style and wants to retain the ball, then CuJo is a necessity because few players are able to retain possession like he can in Europe, never mind England.
Only issue i think is the kind of positions he likes to take are most similar to Mainoo so it'll depend on how they both progress.
If you are looking at runners, is there a world were Madueke makes the team within 2 years?
Usain bolt might be coming out of retirement sure he has dual citizenship, you asked for runners😂😂😂😂😂
@@MichaelDavis-dp9xm perfect 😂
Stopped watching at 3:17 when tyrick Mitchell wasn't in the list of defenders. Absolutely love your videos but tyrick should've been there in the euros and he 1000% should be there in the world cup
IF James stays fit, then he starts
With the changes to the coaching staff, we may have Ben White at right back. Saka and White dominating the right side sounds nice to me.
Trent man. TRENT!
I only think Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier unlikely to be there in 2026, but the squad could be about 50% different based on form and injuries.
Livramento starts, whether it’s the left or right the lad is an absolute superstar. Rock solid defensively who dribbles like prime kaka.
I can't believe your still picking Kane.
You mean Harry Cane?
Who’s gonna be better than Kane in 2 years?
@@N17Stu literally any premier league striker who can run
The problem is Southgate, not Kane.
At club level under various experienced managers and teams, he bangs them in weekly. Scoring 25 to 30+ a season. Then under Southgate he isn’t that great. The issue lies with the manager, not the player.
We have to give him a chance with the next manager, because they might actually get the best out of him at international.

What I want: Pope/Ramsdale, Trent, Stones, Branthwaite, Shaw(if fit, if not- mitchell), Midfield- 1 holder 2 number 8's. Bellingham, Rice, Mainoo. Rice holding on his own. Saka on the right, Watkins in the middle, Gordon off the left. Whoever the fullbacks are, it all goes through them. Play high and aggressive.
What's actually going to happen: Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham, Foden, Kane, Saka

Kane can’t play if he’s alone up to top, he needs someone with him to do the running and give him the chance to get into space
watchout for archie gray for that midefield
If it reverts back to a 23 man squad:
Pickford; Trent, Stones, Guehi, Shaw; Rice, Bellingham; Saka, Palmer, Rashford; Kane
Ramsdale; James, Colwill, Brainthwaite, Hall; Mainoo, Wharton; Sancho, Foden, Gordon; Watkins
Third keeper doesn't matter.
However there will inevitably be some young kids who emerge out of nowhere. Lankshear/Moore at Spurs *could* do it.
26 man squad, you can add a utility defender (Gomez, Konsa type), someone like Gallagher and then another striker option - who that is though I don't know.. we have a lack of out and out strikers coming through)
After this tournament kane cant be the striker, he cant ruin his legacy of being englands greatest striker and goalscorer because hes not got the legs for it anymore
Kane has always played with wingers to feed him goals but he hasn’t had any wingers this tournament
Rooney is probably the greatest English striker
He must have been injured. He was able to move during the season

Pickford was killing the game for us. If you go long ball every bloody goal kick you will lose control and can never build momentum or posession. There's a reason top keepers look to short pass and break a press...
He can work on his distribution?
@@kailashpatel1706 it's not in him tho. For Everton all he's ever known is hoof ball. But yeah if the manager can properly coach him, I don't care who's in goal. Ramsdale imo is a better keeper so maybe he should be trained instead
@@KaismiahI agree just feel that not being his club's starting keeper is going to hurt Ramsdale's chances
If Trent is at right back, Jude, Wharton, Rice midfield 4-3-3
If you play a Reece James I think you can try Jude, Wharton, Foden/Palmer I think either gives great balance

Formation 4-2-4
LW: Rashford
F9: Bellingham
F9: Palmer or Foden
RW: Saka
CM: Mainoo
CM: Rice
LB: Shaw
CB: Guehi
CB: Konsa
RB: Trent
GK: Pickford
I'd rather watch a team go out and try and take a game & play on the front foot as well as be youthful get rid of the players that are lacking the legs like Kane
I think Tosin Adarabioyo should be in the team by then as the sides central defensive lynchpin playing alongside club partner Colwill
Palmer has to start at WC 26 if England want a chance
If Carsley or Potter plays 343:
Guéhi - Stones - Colwill
James* - Jude - Wharton - Livramento
Palmer - Elliot
Watkins
There's absolutely no chance whatsoever that none of Shaw, Saka, Foden or Kane are starting in 2 years time.

Reece James has to be a lock if he’s fit
Mans is never fit, won't be a problem 😂
So he won’t be a lock then.
if we count charity games roberto carlos has played more than reece james over past 2 years

In MMA there's a meme about "mythical fighters" like how Cain Velasquez is known for his stamina until he had a fight at high elevation without acclimating, leading to the mythical title of "Sea Level Cain" after he gassed out due to effects of the low air density.
In football, I can't think of many equivalents, but "On His Day" Pogba and "Fully Fit" Reece James are two "mythical footballers" I can think of.
Cant wait to watch the world cup 2026 tomorrow
4-2-4 no striker (2x false 9’s/10s)
Pickford
Trent-Stones-Branthwaite-Colwill
Mainoo/Wharton-Rice.
Saka-Palmer-Bellingham-Gordon
It's funny how that Harry bloke said he doesn't want Rice as one of the first recievers and puts him at the base of a diamond
I love Rice, but Wharton and Mainoo for me.
If Trent is at right back, Jude, Wharton, Rice midfield 4-3-3
If you play a Reece James I think you can try Jude, Wharton, Foden/Palmer
Mainoo and Wharton didn't exist 2 years ago so I'd be looking at few really young wildcards right now like Mikey Moore and Ethan Nwaneri.
I doubt it because those player you mentioned are in the position of England star player who young also for example palmer, Bellingham, foden all under the age of 25 and mainoo and Wharton was lucky that position next to rice was the weakest with left back
It is better to keep player whom play together in the club in close proximity: Ben white + Saka, TTA + Elliott
Rice need to up his game
England need new keeper left back and holding midfielder the rest I am not too worry
In tournament can always rotate more players, Spain didn’t afraid to start Olmo, if we pick the players you need to trust all of them, starter/bench doesn’t matter in tournament if they serve the purpose and win games
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White could be in the conversation as well if they keep progressing.
If fit, Reece James over Trent all day long! He's phenomenal!
With Kane, I think he can only play in a 433 or 343 with two CMs, and the 2 wither side need to be rapid and love to go in behind like Son, Sane, Sterling, Gnabry etc.
I like the idea of wing backs, but not sure if they will work in the next World Cup because the heat is going to be intense!
plays a dozen games a season trents leavin him in the dust. reece doesn't provide half the chances trent does.

Rice is overrated at int level Always thought this. Kane is not a striker. He is another no10.
Kane's good if you've got wide forward's like Rashford, Sterling etc..
Doesn't work if you've got a bunch of 10's who just want to cut inside.
Good that I’m not the only one that doesn’t get the Rice hype. Was unimpressed by him during the Euros.
@@eldante4139 Would possibly make a world class CH.
@@eldante4139Rice has to Play a role for England he isn't nearly as good at he isn't a 6 he is an 8. Phillips or Henderson did that in the past and England looked more attacking.
If Archie Gray has a good season with Spurs I could see him being in these discussions very quickly too.
Saka and Palmer as your two wide forwards when they are not player that run inbehind, Gordon,Bowen,Watkins,Toney suit it way more if your trying the 4 in midfield, actuall runner inbehind and Toney would be you target man if you wanted to mix it up
Can someone explain Rice to me Great engine comes into his own in the last 20 minutes, he's not an upgrade on Milner. So come on guys tell me why Rice is DM
I think people overlook some of Rice's weaknesses. Mainly his passing. I think we could be stronger by replacing Rice with Warton or Bellingham in that role.
Rico Henry got to be in the conversation for LB for me, once he's back. Think of how much he would have given us down the left side this year
Surely we just play a false 9 and wingers?? Sancho/Gordon & Saka with palmer in the firmino roll
Every team I see just feels so narrow
Mates a suggestion. Bring on a top athletic ex-footballer into these type of podcasts.
Will give more realistic perspective on how players see things.
Example, any other country with a 19yr like Mainoo would feature him without question based on what he just did (and been doing.) He's a natural and can also play a system.
He obviously settled the team down once he got in during Group stage. At 19. Amazing
Can’t wait for everyone to be crying for Leif Davis to be starting for England by Christmas, he’s so good and will be one of Ipswich’s best players this season
Quansah and Branthwaite cb, they’re gonna be a brick wall
Also Alex Scott and Lewis Miley could very well be knocking on the door when the World Cup comes round
Guehi + stones as a CB partnership do not win enough aerial duels. For that reason I’d put Brandthwaite over Guehi
Ben White is better than Trent on the ball, but Trent has better ball striking. White is a good balance between Trent and Walker and the connection with Saka is beneficial
Stones at holding mid. Frees up the others
You forgot the most important part for progression - Felix zwayer as the 12th man and being drawn the easiest path through the tournament.
You have to think that Madrid have Mbappe and Vinicious now, Bellingham isnt going to be scoring goals and getting forward as much in the next 2 seasons. Get him back to make a 3 with Rise and Mainoo, and that gives us a lot more control in midfield
i think its a bit silly not to talk about reece james as the LEADING RB option for england. i know he’s injury prone but lets say he stays fit. Leader (chelsea captain); amazing defensively 1v1, against counters; amazing in the final third, crossing and shooting. he’s basically Trent and Walker in one player. being very undervalued by english fans rn

I think of all the players Chelsea have let go I think Livremento and Hall are the ones they should’ve kept. Future England fullback’s for years to come….
You can't have Rice as the DM - he can't receive the ball under pressure or pass the ball forward.
As a United fan, I wondered what Sancho and Mainoo on the right would have looked like in terms of build-up
Would love to see this resurface in two years time 🕰️ 🤔🏴
Make way for Mikey Moore and Nwaneri
I think we need less focus on who starts and more on what's our optimal play style then go from there.
Declan Rice is not passing balls forward (just sideways and backwards), taking the game forward and he's not like that so may not even start at the World Cup
I think Pickford no doubt has the ability when passing long and short. But does it so rarely under pressure, so has less confidence due to practice in areas when pressed high
Livramento is very very good. Not sure on Hall didn't see him play much for the toon last year
As long as it’s not the same 4-2-3-Turd formation they peddled for the last month.
Jordan Pickford by whatever metric you want to use has been the most successful English goalkeeper ever, the fact he's still questioned is just Big 6 bias
Thoughts on Ashley Phillips? Maybe not by 2026 but he could easily already be knocking on the door then
Does Harry know that the 4 big boys at the back and the elbow are negating the weaknesses of the robertson and trent style. I don't think we'll see a return to that symmetrical flying full back system. It was easy to exploit just one season after it was the best tactic in the world.
People are sleeping on Ben White
You've got it wrong lads. Look over Arsenal's last season and its rather obvious that Arsenal clicked when Rice moved from a 6 to an 8. He's an ok 6, but he needs to be driving forward
Will it find the way “Home” this time? 🤣
Not to slate you boys and I get the excitement of picking the team for the future but without picking a manager at the start you can't pick the team. England NEED to pick the best team that fits the system we are playing. The reason every player who left Liverpool under Klopp failed was because they were a cog in a machine and the machine only works with all the cogs. Take a cog out and you can get another one, try and put the removed cog into another machine and its not always going to work in the machine.
Southgate did well this tournament but we could have at least performed better by selecting the team that fit the system he wanted to play. Kane has been used a lot but to play how we were Kane is the wrong pick and we need a manager who will put the best players on the bench to benefit the team. Just to go back to Liverpool again but Kane is obviously a more prolific finisher than Firmino ever way but imagine swapping the two. Do Liverpool win what they won, play how they play, get the best out of Salah and Mane if its Kane up top instead of Firmino? Personally I don't think so - the system was built where Firminos job was to get the best out of everyone else.
Good luck lads with this vid, but this feels like when a comedian makes a joke about something, that's too soon after the disaster!
When the audience groans, he asks "Too soon?"
So when greenwood smashes up france he doesn't get a chance? forget whats happened and why he isn't at United anymore the kid is pure talent. You all overlooked him.
New players wil obviously emerged in two years
