- This fantastic animated show sings the classic "Happy Birthday" song that I remember from my childhood. Notice how every character is active in this song, each with lively, fluid movements.

worked at Showbiz back in the 80's as a technician, worked on video games and the robots. it was as much fun as anyone could have without breaking laws.we had a BLAST! I used to spend my days off there just to hang out (well the free video games didn't hurt) the best thing that we ever had there was the "interactive animation" booth. we had a manual set (joysticks with buttons on a plate to control the movements of BB with a mic and a synthesizer where we could literally control Billy Bob and talk to customers interactively. was crude but it was a huge thing for small kids to actually talk to Billy Bob.if you have small kids and want to have a great birthday party for them, I hope you have a showbiz or a Chuckey cheese in your neighborhood, its a lot of fun for the kiddy's and it was a lot of fun for me working there back in the day.

Showbiz in Columbus had that booth and controls, too! I got good at those controls and could do Billy Bob's voice pretty well. It was fun.
I got to play with the interactive system too and wore Billy Bob a few times. My brother wore the suit quite a few times. Man, those days were great! We went to the Showbiz in Charlotte,N.C. in the mid 1980's. Sure miss my brother too

The 80s must've been awesome for kids. Despite being a 2000s kid the Chuck E. Cheeses I've been to were somewhat deserted. I took my nephew with me to one recently and there was barely anyone there. 😭 . Maybe if they brought back the RAE in different locations they'd get more customers.

The whole reason Concept Unification happened was because CEI and ShowBiz Pizza Time were at each other’s throats. That would never happen.
I would have wanted THIS at my birthday, much better than the Chuck E' Cheeses in my city that only has ONE animatronic!

All the Atlanta area ones either have Studio C or they’ve ditched them altogether. The last three MMBBs in the whole state are (or were) in Augusta, Columbus (theirs is “CHUCK E.’S Make Believe Band”), and Savannah. All are former Rock-afires, so you ain’t gettin’ me in those places!

I wonder why they got rid of the Rock-Afire Explosion band, I think that those animatronics are WAY cooler than the Chuck-E-Cheese animatronics. Who else agrees?

I found pictures of a CEC in New Hampshire (I think it was a former Pizza Time Theatre). You know how usually CECs have posters of Chuck E. and friends? Well, this one had Rock-afire Explosion posters.

Edit: It was Newington. They had some sort of MMBB, and they had the PTT-looking CEC logo out front. Shame they closed down.
Being a kid in the 80's, I do recall going to Showbiz Pizza for 2 Birthday Parties (of my friends) and my parents had one for me as well. It was so cool to see the Rockafire Explosion and Billy Bob sing. To the imagination of a kid, it felt real to me and not just being animatronics characters. Ahh, the good 'ol days...

Pps I worked for the mouse from98 to about 2010 in stores all over I saw the remodel from tried and awesome to one stages..Studio C...Long story short your show helped me realize the interesting dynamics of characterization and how interaction between different characters with varying degrees and tastes helps o tell the story in a very special way...Thanks again for the edutainment! i firmly believe if showbiz pizza didn’t rebrand to CEC and kept the rock afire around, animatronics would still be very loved by kids

I remember on my8th Birthday I went to ShowBiz Pizza The Friendly Staff put me at a Giant Table and gave me a crown and I think people told me because it was my Birthday They were gonna treat me as a King and what fun it was MyFosterParents tried really hard to make it special because everybody has an 8th Birthday only in a lifetime It was sad when the party was over and my time as King ended the Staff at ShowBiz Pizza made great Royal subjects

Antioch is mostly programmed on Birthday shows, though there are some regular segments that Antioch moves on. There was even a very few times that Antioch spoke though the voice is all grarbly and hard to understand.
