  • Is 10 days long enough to explore Tasmania by campervan? Tassie is filled with amazing beaches, hikes, mountains, lakes and much more. In this video, we explore Bruny Island, Mt Field National Park, Lake St Clair, Strahan, Mole Creek, Cradle Mountain, Devonport, Launceston, and Bay of Fires. I hope this video helps with planning your next trip to Tasmania!

Thanks! We really enjoyed it, so many great hikes in Tassie. Yeah, the weather was challenging at Cradle Mountain, so definitely made it an adventure!

Awesome video. How did you find the driving with camper? Easy finding Parks when visiting places. Debating hiring a car and staying in B&Bs.

Thank you! Driving the camper took some getting used to but overall made for a good experience. We actually booked all campsites in advance - most were full so I’d recommend booking ahead of time if possible. Hope you enjoy your trip! Cheers

Great video thanks ! Was that the 6 berth or 4? Also do you feel 10 days was enough ?? Looking at doing a very similar trip 😎
    Cheers mate

Thanks! Yeah, it was the Crusin’ 6 Berth. Regarding timing, 10 days was good but 2 weeks would have been preferred so that we could have spent more time in some of our favorite stops. Good luck with your trip planning! Cheers

    • @TravelByTy

This video was taken in April 2022. The weather in Tassie is a bit unpredictable, but I’d imagine that June would be on the colder side!

The weather in Tasmania can vary quite a bit, even during the summer months, so it can be tough to plan for.

I was nearly cleaned up by one of these tourist vans at the Eastern approaches to the Tasman Bridge. They ignored the red light that was facing them and sailed on through without a care in the world.
Their rear door step was down, which would be an expensive fix if they had of got too close to a pole or post. I was past caring, by that stage. It would appear that any dude with a car licence can drive these little trucks around Tassie without any training or assessment.
