This is a deceivingly simple video, because they secretly left out some steps to make the process look easier. It fails to show a tricky action that is necessary in order to fix the seat to the bike. It's the main reason people look for an instruction video. The video doesn't show that you need to push + pull with your fingers on the back end while you slide the bar in, so that the yellow indicator sinks into the bar and doesn't block the passage. In the instruction video the indicator magically sinks into the bar. You had one job....
i know this is a 7 years old video but planning to put it on my brompton ,just wondering if i can use any thule yepp seat for this one or any specific one that i can use for this - year 2024 :D

would this work on a bike that already have a rear rack? I have a Stromer ST1 with a racktime rack...however that rack does not meet the requirements for a rack mounted child seat. But I cannot remove that rack either as I use it for my panniers.
That depends on how much space you have left on the frame for mounting and also the space between the seat bottom and rack so it does not hit the rack when cycling over bumps. You can check it in the downloadable manual on thule.com
What are the max and min angles of the receiving bicycle post, in order to have the seat at its ideal position? Just installed this on my wife’s bike and even with the angle adjustment bolt at its lowest position the seat is not parallel to the ground. It still pitches towards the bike.
There is no specific max and min angle on the bracket. The seat is designed to fit most standard bikes and has 4 different angle positions you can place it in. If you have tried all positions and it does not fit I would recommend checking directly with us through our support pages or through the dealer where you bought the seat if they can help you.

Does the metal plate under the seat shown at .45sec come with the frame adaptor? I do not have this on my child's seat

you can probably recover it. In instructions it says to write down 4 digits of the key. I guess you didn't write them down either? (
