- Heres a shortcut to get settings done if you are new to this camera, and want to get shooting fast. These are my personal preferences, and you might like it different, once you get through the manual. Scrolling fast through menu system to keep video short. Pause the video to adjust your camera. TIP: With this setting, you can simply half press your shutter to track and lock-on focus, and if you want, you can override tracking by pressing (and hold) round enter button on the back to lock a centered focus point and then re-compose before shutter release. Setting works also for 3rd party glass, and manual legacy glass, as a6000 will simply disable functions not available on any lense attached. Try it out. Have fun shooting.

Thank you
Hello, How do you get the recording setting to 50p 28m (PS) because it's not onr of the options when I looked
+Riza you need a larger memory card, 64gb class 10 UHD1 minimum
You have to set it to PAL (press FORMAT in the last tab on the 5th page). But, it's not worth it. Use NTSC and get 50M in 60p, 30p or 24p. 60p is kind of the equivalent to 50p, so go for that if you want the high frame rates. If you don't need slow motion you're better off using 24p, tbh. Then you only need 1/50 shutter speed, and get more light in so you don't have to crank the iso in low light conditions.
What mode is your camara in for settings?
Manual. Raw.
Hi I take photos of nail polish but sometimes my camera doesn't take the right color I'm not sure what setting it needs to be. If you could help me thanks
+Nailartbymae Could be a number of things. If not sure how to find the setting you have done wrong, then do a factory reset and work from there.
+Carsten Bruhn hey man I do car videos with this camera like vlogs and it gets the in car video quality great but when the trees and scenery outside of the car through the window when the car is moving looks very blurry and almost looks slow motion. Any tips?
+Virtualized. You could try this: Set the a6000 in manual mode. Set a shuttertime to match the speed of the vehicle. How short this shutter should be, can be tested by taking a still photo while driving. If low light, open your lense wide open (Lowest Fstop value). Lastly, set your ISO only just as high as required to get light enough on your capture, as to avoid noise.
+Carsten Bruhn ok thank you very much. Just bought the camera so I am new to all of this stuff so hopefully I understand how to set those things
My pleasure. If you are all new into APS-C, and need a good fast prime without breaking the bank, i highly recommend the Sigma 60mm DN for E-mount (Sony).
what song is this
+Optic Neon No idea. Some video editor standard track. Sorry
