I remember last year at this rummage sale when you had your panic attack.🥴 Today, at the rummage sale, Renee saw a box marked "Electronic cat and dog caller.....Guaranteed to work." She looked inside the box, and laughed out loud..... inside was an electric can opener.😂
Hi Buzz, good joke! When I was a kid we had a big tabby cat named Toby (because he had extra toes) and the electric can opener always got him into the kitchen in a hurry.
The bug was an Egyptian scarab. You got some great stuff, from what I’ve seen so far. Take care darling. Charlotte xx🇬🇧 Honestly never seen such a fabulous rummage sale!
Honey I am so glad you found a Fobbet(?) It just made your day. Love seeing you so happy. That merman looking thing that's worth so much is plumb ugly if you ask me. I don't understand art. Well, some i do. I love ya! Stay safe and well.❤️😘💕💕💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌️
MS. MOOSE…..You are a DELIGHT!….there has to be some lesson learned in your delightful presentation today!…We realize You have to put the HUSTLE into Your work and that is why We Love You…..BUT finding JOY in these moments on the hunt tickle our Funny bones also!
I love this flea market and how organised it is. And it goes to such a good cause. A few weeks ago I bought a book at the thrift for $2 because it looked interesting and it was in English. An anomaly in the thrift here in Norway. I didn't even list it right way because books are always expensive to post, so when I finally got around to looking it up, I got a shock. It was selling for $60 on amazon and abcbooks. I listed it and it sold immediately. I love that paperweight you found. That was a great find. Oh, and a little update on my unemployed and disability status, I found a little seasonal job for myself. I'll be working at our local luxury cat boarding facility. It's a 10 minute walk from my house and I get to work with furry friends for a few hours a day and I know it will do my soul good. Wishing you food for your soul and many found and rescued treasures!
The cat boarding facility sounds like it will be wonderful!! Being around cats for a few hours a day, taking care of them, & seeing all their different personalities seems like a great job to be a part of! You’ll have to keep me updated!
The plush prices were amazing. So much stuff (no pun intended), and the books!! The paperweight is about $92 USD. Hey Tim, Renee needs a Hoosier cabinet..hint hint.
Wow! What a wonderful sale!!!!That price on the Hoosier was a deal!!! I really liked the old paper weights and book with the parks! Amazing donations!!
Hello Renee. I always love this sale. It just looks like a fun time. But to many people. Myself I probably couldn’t handle it because my anxiety has gotten worse in the past few years. But you my dear just didn’t care this time and ended up doing very well. I love the paper weight it’s really unique. I’m glad you enjoyed the sale and found some Yellowstone and a quiet little friend . Take care . 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯
I'm more worried about breaking something in one of the tents! So much stuff on every shelf, have to watch my elbows! Everyone at the sale is nice & all understand the close quarters, so it's not too bad.
Hi Renee. WOW! This was fun for me. The things you do to get what you want from a sale is soo amazing. That cut purple 💜 puppet is adorable. The book was an amazing find and so was everything else. I just love the way you talk and give the best understanding of what you find on the Internet. Renee, your my favorite person and I soo appreciate you Soo much. God Bless you Renee. Have an amazing and wonderful day. HUGS 🤗. Mari'a. 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋🌼🌼🌺🌺🌸🌸🌸☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Thank you, Maria! While I have much to learn, I'm glad that you enjoy my videos and what I present. There's always something out there to learn more about and little surprises along the way :0)
01:22 Souvenir scarab. Someone went to Egypt. That's some monster sale; I'd need to use a scooter to "walk" it. Wheee. There were definitely some investigate-mes on the shelves. 11:21 Around here that Hoosier cabinet would have been sold in the first 20 minutes. Postcards and all.
I always thought that things in Texas are bigger than elsewhere in the States, but this NJ market makes an exception. 🙂Wow, what a well organized assortment of different stuff ! The paperweights were exceptional and a bargain. 1:20 the bug is an Egyptian scarabaeus, probably a touristic souvenir. Glad to hear that a lot of items found you despite your anxiety. My favorite was "America´s Wonderland" though it still needs some restoration work. 86,- Euros are around 100,- bucks, congrats on this pretty signed paperweight ! Same with the "male mermaid". Keep it up, and have a wonderful rest of this sunny Wednesday ! 🌞Greets from GER, U.
There is a tent for everything at this sale! They even have a tent for curtains & bed linens, which I always feel sorry for because there never is a line to get in. Perhaps at the fall sale I'll surprise them and be the first in line for that tent! The book tent had a long line in the morning, with the diehard book buyers waiting with their totes & boxes in hand. Too much pressure for me! Hope that your week is going well!
I was melting seeing all those wonderful “paperweights” and shouting, look closer look closer. What a fun vid. Shall certainly keep an eye out for next years😊😁
Wow that is some pretty big Rummage Sale 😯 I cannot imagine how much stuff you would have bought if you could have stayed all day. Lovely video Renee and thanks for sharing 🙂
The small glass items were so close together so I definitely would have broken something. I saw so much I loved, and wish I could whisper in your ear to get it, 💓
Awesome finds on a relaxed day 😎🤑🎉 I also got lucky on a relaxed day and learned a bolo on Sunday 🤑 I always donate items from my storage units to a local thrift store and rarely find something to flip , it's always personal items to use the 20% off coupon 😅 until Sunday I stumbled on a vintage shilke leather trumpet gig bag case 🙏 on first review I saw one similar but different brand sell for 80 and bought mine for 8.99 thinking worst case scenario it sells for 80 but still haven't been able to find the same one , so I look up the vintage shilke trumpet's and some sell well over $1,000 on eBay so I decided to auction it on eBay and started the auction at 120.00, in 2 days it has 14 watchers and it's at 127.00 😇 haven't been this excited for a thrift store find in years 😬😅 some vintage trumpets saxophones and cases sell great 🤑, it's a great niche to learn even though hard to come by and some be big and bulky but some brands are great money and hopefully in your next barn clean out or fleamarket venture you find some as well 🙏😇🤑
I imagine you could have that book professionally rebound - probably doesn't make financial sense. I wonder if there is a DIY method? Congratulations on the Teddy Ruxspin. That mer-dude made me laugh out loud. Glad it will be profitable but not something I would have thought would be so valuable (to each their own!). I guess ephemera, photos, etc. would have been in that vintage area that was so crowded? Looks like it was a fun day. The furniture prices were really reasonable. Is there no room for a Hoosier cabinet at your place? I guess you'll get one when the time is right. You're good at pacing yourself. I'm suffering right now from what I call, "A surplus of inventory," and my wife calls, "a mess." Mostly from the pandemic and I'm whittling away at it. What's the fun of an empty basement? Thanks for the video. Hope the auction was equally successful. Have a fabulous Wednesday afternoon!
What's the fun of an empty basement is right! Mess, inventory... tomato tomatoe! No room for a Hoosier, I'd have to get rid of my couch or small chair in my living room because there is no way that cabinet is going up my stairs! The person that owned that Hoosier must have been a fan of postcards, first time I've seen one decorated in that manner! The vintage area has a mixture of clothing, art, household goods, shoes, and collectables. Last year did they have ephemera in that tent, things like old magazines, photographs, etc. To have the line 30 people deep after being open 2 hours, wow! They must have been limiting the amount of people in at one time, with having to wait to enter until a person came out. That method at least helped me to curb some spending :0)
Renee, this is totally off-topic, but I was reading Antiques and the Arts Weekly, and discovered the existence of The East Coast Vintage Christmas Collectors. They held their first big show this past April in Park Ridge, NJ. I would imagine you hadn't heard about it, or you would have gone. You can read the article in the May 10th issue, page 15 - it's free for anyone to download, since they get all their revenue from ads for auctions and antique shows.
Perusing that little cornucopia of ceramics, there seemed many interesting knick-knacks and oddments - too many in fact to choose. Further on, a multi-toned, soft landscape of cuddly plush - liked that. Very colourful.😊 sun outside and lots of good buys to bring back, and guess what? Lots to resell!
I was so glad to see that you picked up the merman. Any time you find a merman of any kind pick them up. They are always worth more since less of them around.
Look good so far...neat paperweights...I used to be a collector of these...sold most off...but still have a few...these are advertising and fraternal pieces. Hey...there's my sign hanging on that shelf...stating: "I Love Frogs"! That cute red sofa...would be coming home with me...as I have two fr-gs who would look great snuggling up on it! That large Kermit was a neat piece, I have three Kermits in the collection. I have a few Norcrest Fr-gs...quality pieces. I saw a number of items I would have purchased for me or friend gifts.
I didn’t even notice that sign until I was editing! I would have picked it up for you at the sale if I would have seen it then. So much stuff that the eyes go crazy trying to see everything 🐸
@@PaperandMoose I've done the same thing...overlooking, but mostly forgetting to go back and get an item...recalling it on the way home! Was that a real wood propeller for $4 at 22:13? Or maybe it said $14? In any case, you as a reseller should have checked it against sold comps, it might be worth anywhere from $40 to $500. It's a pain to ship, but if you think you could get $100 or more it would be worth it.
Thanks for a great video. The book you picked up reminds me of where I am working this summer. I work for the national forest service all over the west. This year I'm near Stanley Idaho. This is my view, it's the sawtooth mountain range.
My sister went and found a lady was cleaning out her garage and she came back with about 10 insulators they were priced 10 a piece. She got 2 perkulator coffee pots they were marked 20 a piece. Plus loads of dishes older stuff and a complete set of Mikasa Sadie dinner ware set valued over 100 dollars. I don't know all what the lady put out it would have been a great pick. But she got great stuff out of that pick. Trash it was going
I can’t believe you didn’t grab the Kermit frog. It was new with tags and came with the camera. You could have doubled your money up with that pic but instead he took that bottle, which was worth nothing.
There are currently 36 listing for that exact Kermit on eBay. The cheapest, with the camera, is $23 with a best offer option. At the rummage sale, he had a price of $10… they also charged a 25% premium on this day, so he would have cost me $12.50. So with the cheapest one on ebay being $23 or Best Offer, it would not have been a good buy profit-wise. The most recent comp on the bottle that I purchased… $60. I already sold the bottle to a collector for $45, so made my money back plus some 🙂
I remember last year at this rummage sale when you had your panic attack.🥴
Today, at the rummage sale, Renee saw a box marked
"Electronic cat and dog caller.....Guaranteed to work."

I’ve needed many Hoosier cabinets 🙂

Some nice items,👏👏👏💰👍🏻🤠🇬🇧
I love rummage sales, the town I lived in last, had one at the hockey arena in the spring. Lots of interesting things to collect, never missed it.
i love to see you so happy

They do a wonderful job organizing everything, that's for sure!
I think $92.00 in US dollars.good score.what a great sale❤

Magical, but I bet that sale can be overwhelming!

That is remarkable!!! The 6 yr old that I watch would have gone crazy in the toy tent.
They have another toy area where there’s even more toys & games! It’s remarkable how much great stuff they have donated for this sale.

I want to say it was one of the Michael’s/Hobby Lobby versions that are made to look old. It was $14!
I wonder what they do with the unsold items. Maybe an auction? But probably not cause I bet you would go to it.
They hold a bag sale on the last day. I’ve heard that a few buyers come with Uhaul trucks & load up!

So with the cheapest one on ebay being $23 or Best Offer, it would not have been a good buy profit-wise. The most recent comp on the bottle that I purchased… $60. I already sold the bottle to a collector for $45, so made my money back plus some 🙂
@@PaperandMoose That’s for the reply. Did not know there was a premium at that sale.
