I think the reason you are somewhat struggling with mana is that you never hit enemies with just your regular wand. You get mana for each hit you do that way.
I'm not sure whether or not it works this way in Craft to Exile, but in Path of Exile the more support gems you have equipped to a skill gem the more mana it costs to use that skill. So maybe unequipping a support gem from your fireball might be the way to go? At least until you have the means to deal with higher mana costs later.
Direwolf: I seem to be a bit under level now...? Also Direwolf: Break every mob spawner so he can't get exp from killing mobs (getting normal exp doesn't count for Mine and Slash levels) On another note mob spawner will despawn after it spawn a number of mobs Also Obligatory Master backpack is a must craft in this mod but there is no quest to make one
Extra mana is at the bottom of your Elementalist tree, Dire. The deep blue icon. Knowing you, though, you won't notice that until 5 or so episodes from now.
Dire you should look at playing the Vaulthunters mod pack in the future when you’re ready for another adventure focused pack. I think you’d love it, it’s based around vault(dungeon) delving for resource gathering. And you can even play it as a skyblock where everything is gathered from vaults.
This mod pack is interesting and all but seems overdrawn like most mod packs. Dire is probably my most favorite people who plays MC because he doesn't act like a total douche and altar his voice like a predator. Dire When you are in the talent tree there is a search at the top middle of the screen and it is pretty decent.

Why don't you use your summon skill? That'll do damage while you're between casts or out of mana
He doesn't use summons because he forgets he has it

dire, you need to add in stack upgrades to your backpack, at least a few levels of them so you can compress all those stacks down to one each

Daggers can be used as a wizard as well, don't disregard loot like this without even looking at stats

Dire, Dire, Dire... you should definitely take nuggets whenever you come across them. A few ingots' worth of nuggets is nothing to scoff at.
