In today’s techno-centric culture, cyber fraud is becoming more prevalent. In this story, Rahul falls prey to such a scam due to his greed. He receives and email promising him INR 1.5 Crore ($200000) through a business deal. Overcome with greed, Rahul foregoes caution and immediately shares his banking information as requested in the email. Soon he realizes his mistake as INR 7 Lakh ($10000) is stolen from his account. In the face of a “short-cut” to making money, Rahul becomes the victim of theft and loses his savings.
The Bible warns us of the perils of taking the easy path and the dangers of greed and the application of these teachings help us to be cautious when faced with situations that are “too good to be true.”
