Dan literally on the verge of having a heart attack , gets stressed out with product reviews and bird tables , But something good comes out of today as we receive a lovely gift from our campsite neighbour.

When I put food out for the birds, as in scraps of leftovers, the gulls get the lions share.They can swallow chicken bones whole, which is amazing.The smaller birds, up to the size of starlings, visit my feeders. Birds are like us, in that they have their preferences when it comes to food. I’m glad you’re getting on with the footage for your new channel, Dan. I must check it out. I’ll then become a Trail Cam Dan fan, I’m sure ! I love your bird scarers, are they effective in keeping the rooks away? You cooked up a lovely meal there Mazzy, it’s hard to beat roast chicken. 😃👍✋
Cable tie some chicken wire around your bird house and cut holes just large enough for the small birds 🦅

We completely understand dans frustration! Not only do greedy large birds turn up in groups and eat too much food, they also scare off the small garden birds!
We have had the same here from half four in the morning. They woke the whole street up . We take the feeders down at night now . Brilliant vlog lovely meals Mazzy ❤
This happened to me and I realised the starlings were feeding babies . Just not ready for the babies to get their own food just yet .🪶🪺

Hi Dan and Mazzy,, Just a bit of useless info for you....the man who has the fish cafe you were on about is Rick Stein... he actually lives here in Australia and has a house down the road from us at Mollymook, here on the South Coast. and a reseraunt Called Bannisterrs .
Might have to look into getting a trail cam, would be interesting to see what our stray cat colonies do over night.

Poor Dan. My Mom, who also loves to watch the birds at her feeders, has become exasperated many times over with all of the starlings, sparrows and even squirrels stealing everything away from her favorite songbirds. She gets angry and gives up for a while, leaving the feeders empty, only to have a change of heart and fill them again. Like Mom, you may just have to accept the occasional good with the more frequent not so good and carry on. There's just no way to feed some without feeding all unless you feed none. Beautiful food as usual, Mazzy.

Oh mazzy, chickens come in those sealed bags these days...they're not meant for the oven. But I can see how you made the mistake of thinking it did. We all learn by our mistakes don't we👍 and that chicken looked yummy by the time it was cooked. I have to say that Dan really was very well disguised....not sure if I'd have his patience to stand there all day though🙈 shame he couldn't review that bike as it sounds amazing. Take care both x

Great video Mazzy, I'm with you Dan on the fresh vegetables they don't last as long as it says on the packaging they keep them in cold storage to long and as soon as they are brought out they start going off rapidly and since they removed the best before dates on some foods that makes it even worst. That's a great camouflage outfit Dan I didn't see you at first stood against that fence.
Dan just remove the table and hang a peanut feeder only. Only nice birds like peanuts xxx

Dan / mazzy great vlog had me in stiches ..dan tip 4 you ..i dont get pestered by any big birds on my stations as i only use fine wire and lastic feeders this time of year .so i get all the finches ect .i dont put any loose feed out on bird table till later in the year..just use feeders...love the camo out fit mate so funny spotting you in the hedge lol

I've found since some shops have stopped putting best before dates on some fruit and veg it's not lasting as long the consumer is not getting a good deal with it

I think starlings come when mealworms etc are put out
:))) it's baby season so they take them to feed the chicks. And they do come in flocks too. We used to put dried mealworms on our bird feeder (the window-suction cup type) and it sounded like a storm when they were arriving. They were fighting with each other (even if they are part of same flock). Most of the mealworms were dropped on the floor where half of the flock was.

Totally agree with you Dan about quality of fresh produce…it really has gone down hill…donkt even ask about potatoes! I end up chucking half the bag away! They look ok but when u cut into them they are often bruised & black! It’s really put me off potatoes! Anyone else finding this?

We have the same problems with big birds stealing & guarding the chickens food. They will be cook in the bag if they aren’t careful 🤣🤣

Dan you need bird feeders that go in a cage . Then only the little birds can go on them and you can feed the other birds on the table. X
Cook in the bag chicken comes on a foil foil tray in the bag. If it hasn't got a foil tray it can't be cooked in the bag. Love ta vidros ❤

Just buy a knife sharpener and your blue knife will be like brand new. I got a fantastic knife sharpener from Sainsburys. It’s great because there is no way I can injure myself as I’m sharpening my knifes. Basically it’s a knife sharpening tool for dingbats like me who are so clumsy they shouldn’t be allowed to use knifes 😂😂😂

Hilarious video ! Advice to Dan - to hinder larger birds you need to limit their flight paths into the table - move the table closer to the fence and use chicken wire to block the openings to two or three sides of the table. ❤️❤️

I will still send it as it will be a nice piece to your garden and there will only be 5 ever made, it will resemble a roman colacem with only enough gap between the columns for smaller birds to get in plus it will have solar light, and you can fix it to your fence or put it on a stand.
Yes Dan fresh food quantity hasn’t been there this year. Very frustrating. Mazzy why do you so many single use items? Like the paper plates and roasting trays etc. just curious.
