I loved visiting the Roman Baths, can’t wait to visit again and see what else they have uncovered.
Yeah, it's definitely a lovely place! Thanks for watching. 💛
What a lovely vlog! I am dreaming about visiting Bath one day… this was such a refreshing tour, thanks!🤗
I hope you get to visit it one day! It's a lovely place. Thanks for watching 💛.
Very interesting. I would love to visit this in person. ❤
It's very cool! Thanks for watching 💛
I have been to Bath.. so gorgeous 😍 I loved seeing the alter and mosaics.. so cool.. what an amazing place..can you imagine being able to actually soak in the baths ❤
I know right? So nice! I think there is a spa in Bath somewhere. 💛
What a beautiful, special place to visit! My sister went there many moons ago, but before photos were so easily stored on phones. Lovely to see actual footage! Did I hear you correctly that the water in the bath is from ancient rainfall?? 🤯 So ah-mazing!!! How perfect the sun came while you were visiting ❤
Yes, that's correct! It's from rainfall that fell on the nearby Mendip Hills around 10,000 years ago. Very cool 😎. It's lovely that your sister visited! Smartphones definitely make filming/photos easier 😂. Thanks for watching!
Nice video, shame about the English weather :-) The bronze head of Sulis Minerva was not found on the site of the baths, but beneath an adjacent road around 250 years ago. It was very clearly severed from a statue of the goddess that had been dragged out of the temple probably by iconoclastic early Christians. The rest of the statue was probably melted down and the bronze re-used....but wouldn't it be nice if one day the rest of the statue was found during modern day roadworks.
Very interesting! Yeah, if I remember correctly I think the audio tour mentioned it likely originally stood in the temple located near the baths. Thank you for this information! 👍💛
Bath is such a lovely city ❤ I remember seeing those curse tablets when I went there, really funny 😅
