    Nice base design for early game provided you have access to electricity and concrete. I would make the “falling” section longer if I didn’t. I would also point the camera so it can see out the door since the Dart trap has a long range. :)

    I also want to note that whenever you want to mine ore nodes on personal worlds, I highly recommend turning them into actual mineshafts.
    -Auger
    -Nailgun
    -10k Wood
    Dig a hole over the seam deep enough to where your sitting on top of all the ore.
    Build a ladder for escape. Dig in any direction that involves following the ore.
    Make the tunnels 4 blocks wide and 3 blocks high.
    Then use wood shapes, go to the pole shapes and use the wood poles from the floor to the ceiling of the mine for support.
    When you begin to dig down, just keep adding those support beams closer together in the tunnels so you don’t have any cave-ins.
    It not only makes your mineshafts look cool af, you can mine efficiently without leaving behind a massive hole in the ground

    If he likes blade traps, should had the blade trap box in center and Electric fences on sides going across to shock and keep them still as they run in to get chopped up.

    It is ok for easrly game ... Changes I would suggest, Put stairs or ramp out of Pit, zombies want range if 11+ Blocks drop BUT, dogs who cant climb ladders will rage in pit because they cant escape. I also like a Thin Horizantal Pillar (you can stack one up and down, so IF one broke it has back up under it with a Punch Bot knocking them off the side. it thins them way down. never been a fan the Blade or Dart traps, Darts get bugged and stay firing till out of spikes and Blades break like paper ... Rather just take Sledge hammer (or etc) and be at opening knocking them off the thin Horizontal pillar that they had to travel to me on ... I rare use steel, just need to make sure you have pathing correct. ... problem with those ramps, Zombies will attempt to Run up siide of it and when cant make jump onto it will strike it till breaks, Stairs with rounded entrance way to steps so they go up no matter direction that face helps this.

    Yes. Stopping mid horde night for changes is excellent

  • @JohnTheMutt
    @JohnTheMutt Před 5 měsíci +1

    yes...I like when you stop mid horde night and make adjustments! The goal is to perfect the operation of a base. Then only time it's not necessary is when a horde base is flawless...

    Cool base design, i’d add 2 more ramps just in case and maybe even make them 2 wide so if 1 breaks there’s another

    I do like this design.. though change the roof to bars so you can shoot the birds.. and have skaffolding ladders instead of those pillars where the blade traps are, to make sure no zombies can crawl under or push themself between them.. like make it an cage.

      Actually pretty solid for first days even without improvements. I would use stairs instead of ramps. I usually use stairs in fact, personal opinion here.
      When electricity becomes a thing a turret on the roof would help with vultures. Further improved with electricity cables running accros the platform to slow them down, as you mentioned. I love moats, I put them everywhere. I usually go for 3 deep minimum, 2 but sometimes 3 wide. Sometimes I go for deeper depending upon what kind of base I build. For this one I would do 5 to 7 maybe, with spikes inside.
      Interior : a ladder to descend and catch bags in the moats without having to hurt with the spikes. And an access to the roof for the turret repairs and a ladder scaffolding all around to throw all kinds of nades on those bastards.
      Or without moats just a cable on 4 sides at ground level to shock them and making them wait for the hellfire rain. You can visualize this easily I'm sure.
      As for the interior cage, the base idea is really cool, Aaron got a nice one. I would do maybe a longer interior just to be sure I can fire and melee tap without being hit too many times. And a little longer cage just so I can put some more devices to help.
      Alright, thank you for your advice on not drinking coffee and beer at the same time, I figured that out already. Coffee ans whiskey though, Irish Coffee, is good. Also your Discord notification sound get me each time. I believe I have friends but I realize I'm alone thanks to you ;)
      Take care my dude.

    Don't rely on only ladders for any path zombies need to climb. They can't get stuck and have trouble climbing in some cases and that will result in them beating on walls.

    • @ReachGaming

      I have never really had that any major problem on any of my BASES?

  • @shawnsarchet2520
    @shawnsarchet2520 Před 5 měsíci

    I think with turrets and the camera pointed out the door the zombies would hardly even get in. A shotgun turret or smg turret up top would kill the vultures and another pointed out the door in the base (so you could reload it) and then this base would be end game viable

    You need to make the base itself 11 blocks off the ground, or the zombies will attack the foundation. But the ones that fall down into the pit will not attack the walls of the pit. I have one base design that works very well i am using that on one of my current worlds. They don't touch the foundation at all

    • @ReachGaming
      @ReachGaming  Před 5 měsíci

      Had no zombie issues attacking the base.

    • @anderswallin3883
      @anderswallin3883 Před 5 měsíci

      @@ReachGaming I was thinking about those that attacked the foundation until you dug that trench. If you build it 11 blocks off the ground you don't need to dig a pit. They won't even attack the ramps.

    what if u put a door near the dart trap so the zombies will beat on it while getting shot in the side of the head by darts? maybe that might make ur position more attractive so the zombies will beat on other things less??

    My zombies kept attacking the “junction blocks”. So the blocks where I had a pillar for support on thier run to me. Anyone have an idea for a fix?
