Joseph Sanderson - you love that he casually drops in offensive slurs where they're completely unnecessary, jarring the viewer? I think he generally does a good job, but random nasty insults are completely out of place. I wish he'd leave his baggage at the door when he makes these videos, but then this is GGManlives we're talking about, I doubt he does much self-reflection.
Yellowblanka I agree. I keep coming back for his fantastic criticism, not his shitty politics. I'm not one to tell him to stop, since these are his videos and he can say what he wants, but it gets real annoying.

Freezing the snowman makes sense, that way you can break it apart, and it will not regenerate, because your quimically changing its physical molecular structure from snow to solid ice. You can seeit in the color, when it changes from white to blue.

You know that snow can be frozen further and shatter when it becomes ice but then you’re from Australia and have never experienced having to scrap snow that became ice off your windshield. Seriously welcome to a Chicago winter.

And you can still take a snowball, dip it in liquid nitrogen, then drop it 4 ft and watch it explode. It isn't all buffs, fire with fire, ice with ice, debuffs, weapon types, etc... this was more science actually... and it was spot on Sunny Jim!
I absolutely LOVED this game in the late 90s. I would always play it at Christmas time and you could also DM against the computer which plays as Santa. I still play this game every Christmas. Maybe some fans don't like it but I absolutely LOVE IT!!

PowerLeef Nah man, the developers change all the enemy skins to Christmas themed ones and all the music is changed to death metal covers of Christmas tunes during December, they also added a new Christmas themed map and a krampus boss. It's actually a thing of beauty.
Still better than most DLCs nowadays.

I'm sure a lot of disdain for this expansion also came from 2 of the 7 levels being the first two levels of the main release backwards. Glad I own Megaton Edition, because I can't say I'd have bought this on its own.

This expansion doesn't have any new voice lines as I remember, so yes, St John's lines are still present here.
Haha, I loved this when it came out back then. I was just turning 21 and I loved Duke games already, so I just picked this up at EB Games. I think I got it for like, $5 lol I had fun with it for what it is, like you said sonny jim!
It’s not sooo crazy being able to freeze snowman and shatter them, different consistency of ice. You can make the analogy of fighting monsters made of sand and using magic to make them solid rock to smash them. But who am I to argue how the Duke world works 🤷♂️

Well the Freeze Gun would turn the Snowmen from Soft Snow into Hard Solid Ice so it would work when you think more about it.
When I was a kid I used to put snow in the freezer. It would become pretty much a solid piece.

Well, as long as I still got the Megaton Edition of Duke3D, I think I might check this game out sometime.
People don't realize Duke Nukem 3D was proto immersive sim. It was game all about iteration with environment. Forever/any potential sequel in future should be Deus Ex with sex and dark humor.

duke nukem 3D with Polymer was awesome with the HRP and the 3D Models. I thought eduke32 is the only one best source-port for duke 3d.

i know ZDoom can dump build maps in doom in hexen format. if i figure it out i swear i'm going to make Doom Nuclear Winter. I will probably change the Duke parts to Doom type maps with snow around it but the rest of the new maps will be the same as well as the elves, snowmen and Christmas themed doom monsters. As far as I can remember doors and slopes and water and all that will need be redone but the main structure will be there.
Don't know why, but this just reminded me of a mod for Doom that lets you play Daggerfall like an FPS.
