- Melissa McCarthy has joined the chat and she’s proving there are no hard feelings after receiving what some thought was an inappropriate question from Barbara Streisand. After “The Funny Girl” actor commented on one of McCarthy’s Instagram posts asking, “Did you take Ozempic?” The “Bridesmaids” actor addressed the question in an Instagram reel,“The takeaway Barbra Streisand knows I exist,” says McCarthy while holding a magazine with a picture of Streisand gracing the cover. “She reached out to me and she thought, I look good. I win the day.”

Melissa outclassed Babs………
At this point everyone in Hollywood that needs to lose weight is using ozempic.
But why would they not some of them should not be using it, but they are also using personal chefs, private trainers, liposuction, etc. etc.
People gripe if she’s ’too big’ and tell her to lose weight and then get mad if she does. Leave everyone alone.
Definitely inappropriate. Her excuse doesn't cut eat. That was shade. Even saying she's her friend.
So they do it but just not suppose to speak about it? She shouldnt do something that she isnt ashamed of and then she wouldnt have to worry about the world knowing. Which odds are the world already knows. Barbara comes from a time where ppl said whatever and ppl werent puddins.
@@dro2000 I don't think she's ashamed of it which goes to support her answer and I also don't think it's inappropriate to talk about if you're eligible to take it and you're taking it great. Melissa McCarthy is not some super thin housewife that shouldn't be taking it paying lots of money for it and blocking other people from taking it because they're using it. It seems inappropriate for her and I wondered if she was going to take it why not
People are so weak now.
@dro2000 oh great. Then she must never complain when people ask about her private life. Or if somebody asks her about her strange face.
As far as I know people in the olden days were respectful.
This was not. Period.
@sipnog3528 then dont be famous. Its a fair and honest question. Nobody complained when ppl were asking Post Malone if he lost his weight from speed. He took that sht in stride and answered the question. The only reason she would be upset is if thats how she lpst her weight. Ffs she is a public figure. She is gonna get asked about Ozempik. Is everyone who does that gonna be rude??
The shame about celebs "flocking" to Ozempic is that it makes it impossibly expensive to buy for the diabetics who seriously need it. I know such a person. And shame on whoever buys Ozempic "for fun" and self gratification.
Ozempic does NOTHING for blood sugar. Ozempic works on the GLP-1 receptor. Diabetes take insulin. Ozempic works for people who are insulin resistant and not necessarily diabetic. It also works with WOMEN with PCOS and is also slowing the progression of Parkinson's disease for some unknown reason.
Everything but the answer to the question 😂 Definitely her business though
Only way you think this is inappropriate is if you think ozempic is something thats shameful (it is, but wouldnt be if there wasn't a shortage caused by people using it cosmetically), and in that case... People should be called out for doing it.
My pops is diabetic and hasn’t been able to find it anywhere. It’s been hard to even find trulicity. People that need it are suffering because they can’t get it in a lot of places.
I hate when they refer to ozempic as a weight loss drug. This is a drug for diabetics that is being misused.
Lots of meds have multiple purposes. Its not being misused.
@toneluy8343 weight loss is a side effect, don't confuse it with proper drug usage
@@VasilisaTheBeautifulTHIS ❤❤❤
May be used for other uses as well including the side effect of weight loss......what makes it bad for specifically use for weight loss is when this is making for severe shortages and creating long long backorder issues that makes it a big problem for those actually needing and depending on this drug for Diabetes and thereby becoming a life threatening issue to those NOT being able to get their insulin for their very health and life.
There would be absolutely nothing wrong with using it for weight loss... If it didn't cause a shortage. I mean, doctors are literally prescribing it for weight loss. The problem here is that it's making it more expensive and outright inaccessible for those who depend on it for their health or even their life.
Well did she?

If she wants to take it, who cares! So dumb.
It's not healthy to take it.
Leave Barbra alone!!! They are friends!!!
She's looking amazing, they both are. 💕
How is that an inappropriate question?
God there is no drama or „incident“, they are good friends. She said it without meaning anything bad. People always assume the worst
82 year old makes a mistake on social media/asks a nosey question..that hardly ever happens😂. Let her live.
The better question is Did Babs raid the Pirates of the Caribbean costume closet?
That is not ok but whatever
So cool for two smart, talented and amusing women to be buddies... love all of this and we know that Barbara is gracious and didn't post to be a smart Alec...
You know everyone, people can actually still lose weight through diet and exercise. Shocker!
Oh but these rich people who need to lose fast to get a part, are NOT doing that.
People are so sensitive 😅if it's the truth why deny it! Even stevie wonder could see that😂
Be careful...someone might call you out for being a handycap-ist!! 😅
@@donnamentrasti2695 I'm blind-a-phobic 🤭🤔🤔🤫🫣that's what they'll say
Melissa McCarthy Will Be Joined NBC Sports Chicago For Chicago Blackhawks Hockey In The Booth With Chris Vosters With Her Redhair From Thunder Force And Geine
Love me some Barbra, but she's over the line; it's not her business or anyone else's, except for Ms McCarthy and her doctor.
More like gastric bypass
For real and she's been like that for years before ozempic
Her body, her choice. It’s nobody’s business….
We should care about other human beings.
If Melissa had lost weight all of a sudden then most people would think it was probably Ozempic. Barbra just asked her forgetting that some people would find it offensive. And yet strangers discuss their boob, nose, etc augmentations quite openly. Crazy!
Yes, teach Babs how to send private messages....
Melissa is beautiful
Barbie is in her 80s so it's plausible she doesn't know how social media works
Barbra Streisand's question was inappropriate, but then again, people labeled as 'big' or « fat »have always been subjected to these kinds of comments... To me, it's clumsy, yet it still amounts to public humiliation.
OMG!
Crazy! Who cares what pisses me off is that people that don’t neef it are taking it. I have Daiabetes and need it and can’t get it because of Idiot people want to get skinny.. come on ya’ll seriously
I think it’s a valid question. Just like all the other celebrities that suddenly lost weight after being overweight their whole life. Even Oprah admitted she took it.
What’s the problem? Most of the world knows they are taking it.
Who cares? Was it just the over weight people who were offended by an innocent question? Y’all need to get a life and quit acting like every single comment is a personal affront to you personally
Nothing innocent about that.
Shady as hell.
None of her business.
Isn't she one of those " we want to keep our private life private"?
She's so disrespectful.
If Melissa was fat, that had nothing to do with Barbra. Atleast Melissa has a pretty face.
How would have Barbra felt if Mellisa had asked her publicy if she had facial surgery?
Since she had been ugly her whole life?
Would she have said my friend Melissa then"??
Barbara was wrong
Go barbera
I imagine Melissa was at least pre-diabetic - good for her for taking care of herself :)
Hey 82 is 82 ... I think we need to cut Barbra some slack here. A POTUS with Alzheimer's Disease (whom she's still supporting) not so much..
