    does scaling even work properly on gnome? I love gnome, I prefer gnome. But kde is more advanced and reliable imo. using 1080p and a 4k monitor, 100% and 175% scaling. best results with kde wayland.

    Some Flatpak apps are getting bugged on this Ubuntu version. Well, first thing is that you need to install flatpak to begin this conversation. And after you install and reboot the machine, configure the flathub and install for example Postman, it opens but starts to get boggus and freeze and everything.... awful!

    • @MarkHobbes
      @MarkHobbes Před 2 měsíci +3

      Interestingly how they make it hard for people who want to avoid snaps, use deb packages or even flatpaks. Strange glitches and bugs start to happen, unusual behavior, things stopping to work, avoiding installation. Well... I won't put my tin foil hat on, but this seems to be done on purpose by Canonical. I wouldn't be surprised if so.

    As per July 2024, I would suggest you avoid doing much of the things suggested in this video. Whenever you are requested to agree to a license conditions, you won't be able to proceed. Most of the "extra" installations won't in fact install. When putting the "ltp" command, you will in fact install a deadly loop. I had to erase and reinstall Ubuntu all together. I returned to Fedora at the end. This was done on an Asus c302 ex-chromebook.

      Still people keep recommending this piece of ... you know what.
      There are tons of better distros, especially aimed for newbies in the Linux world.
      Ubuntu just has a popular name, nothing else.

    1> Shift + Super + Left or Right arrow key --> Moves your Apps fullscreen to another secreen.
    2> Super + Left or Right arrow key --> Snap your Apps window to the left or right of the desktop.
    3> Also you could install "nala" to speed up apt package downloading.
    4> Could Purge Snap if you want.
