    With Cameron Diaz the difference of the haircuts is so huge! Sleek geometric bob definitely looked much worse on her than slightly feathered hair.

    I love these videos!
    Im an FN and dye my naturally dark blonde (which I lightened for years) to a warm copper. I dont plan on going back to my roots, the red hair suits me, but my blonde did the tousled hair look so perfectly. The copper hair doesnt have the same effect, so waves with some texture spray is how I style it. So interesting how certain pairings go together.
    I just got bangs and I enjoy having fluff/volume around my face. My inspo was Nicole Kidman in Practical Magic which is apparently a wig but I think it was one of Nicole's best looks.

    After 20+ years of playing around with different haircuts and colors, I basically agree with everything said.
    Except that I am that rare exception, where a drastic color change (dark, ashy blonde to black) looks natural. I'm very cool + bright and mousy brown looks absolutely awful on me. I tried basically everything in between, but the sharp contrast to very dark hair just works really well for me. There are people with light skin, dark blue eyes and black hair naturally though, so it's not an unnatural combination per se.
    But cut wise, layers and a slightly tousled style or loose curls definitely works best. I tried short hair and geometric bobs and that, sadly, looked awful on me.

    Thank you, Ally!
    Thoroughly enjoyable to listen to your opinions/ insights.
    I believe I am pure natural.
    I did a little modelling in the early 90's, and many of styles at that time worked well for me.
    I understood my colours, and minimising shoulder line, but now I understand better how I was getting many haircuts wrong, and why some, although I did not like, were commented on positively by others.
    Wish I could go back and do it all with this knowledge, but VERY grateful I have it now.

    I grew up when spider man and Bring it On. I would always get you to look like Kirsten Dunst. More recently it's been Jennifer Lawrence(maybe), Taylor Swift(i don't think so), and Harley Quinn(Margot Robbie). I think that was more my outfit and hair. However, I have a light olive skin tone and can get medium/olive in the summer. I keep going back to soft dramatic, Soft/Flamboyant natural, or maybe soft classics. I'm 5'8 and fleshy, long/leggy, not too leggy my torso is normal. I appear taller usually 5'10. I did/do get called 90's super modelish.

    My original color was dark auburn. I went salt and pepper/grey, dyed it auburn again. I like it auburn but it's hard on my hair and I don't like the chemicals, so it's back to grey. 😏😄

    • @raraavis7782
      @raraavis7782 Před 7 měsíci +3

      If you want auburn, plant hair color might work well for you.If you do it correctly, it is actually possible, to dye white hairs with that, despite what many people think.
      I got my first white hairs in my mid twenties already and have mostly been dying my hair dark brown with henna and indigo ever since. The result is actually better than with conversational hair color, because it has more depth and reflexes. Regular hair color tends to look flat and artificial in comparison.

    This was really interesting and liked how the 90s supermodels brought back the straight hair in glamorous way. However Linda Evangelista is an exception who suited short hair best, sleek too, does that make her dramatic? How was she able to be a chameleon and suited so many color hair and styles?

    One thing to always remember. That everyone within the same type doesn't look good in the same haircuts, even though they are the same type. Take Sarah Jessica Parkers hair (typical FN hair) on Charlize Theron. Awful.

      @@xcobyxzei So you actually think Charlize Theron would look good in SJP's hair? Or in Cindy Crawfords?

    • @cb9825
      @cb9825 Před 7 měsíci +7

      I agree. SJP is a short-ish and slim person, she kind of "needs" the extra height that her voluminous hair gives her. I admit I (FN too, but taller) personally would look awful with both her curls and her big waves styles. My torso and shoulders are wide enough, I don't need that much extra volume added on the upper part of the body.😂

    • @j-n-y
      @j-n-y Před 7 měsíci

      @@cb9825 I don't agree. Check out Madeleine Olivia here on yt, she's an FN with big hair and she's tall, like 6 feet. It's much about big one's facial features is. Charlize has a more classic face with closer eyes and smaller features, where as SJP has bigger. Small features can't handle big hair. if someone has eyes far apart means that they can handle bigger hair too.

    • @5050TM
      @5050TM Před 6 měsíci +1
