- This is the final instalment of the decade mixes (not anymore - The 2012 - 2022 Decade Mix is finally here: • Flight Facilities Deca... ).
This is the decade that turned us into what we are now. This mix is effectively our condensed dance music bible (believe it or not, there are lots of tunes we couldn't fit in). The mix is done in the same style in which we remember our clubbing experiences. Most notably, The Bang Gang parties every Friday night in Sydney. Those guys were a HUGE part of why we became DJ's in the first place. This mix will, for better or worse, dig up a few dance-floor 'moments' for anyone who took part in the madness.
So many of these songs are classics to us, and probably are to many others too. It's hard to hear these songs without cracking a smile and remembering a great time of irresponsibility.
You won't find too many mixtapes in this style anymore. And certainly not from us. But we had to show what this decade was all about to us, and how it brought us to what we do today.

These tracks hit the nostalgia so hard. This decade covers my late elementary school days to early college. Bittersweet mix that reminds me of my youth.
I reckon I've burnt enough energy dancing/running to this mixtape over the last 4-ish years to power a major city.

Does anyone know where the vocals from 46:35 come from? The song they sing is clearly "Love don't dance here anymore" from Tiga, but I could not find any version of this song with these vocals.
Might have to look into the Carl Craig production there?

@@purrcatharsis Ah, I just realized that it sounds very much like Giselle Rosselli, whom FF have worked with previously. My hunch is that they got her to track a vocal line over the Tiga original version for this mix.

Because we made these mixes in 2012, so it seemed logical to trace back by increments of 10. Also 2012 is the end of the world ;)
I thought the reason is that both 1982 and 2002 were definitive year's for modern electronic music. 1982 - best Italy gems released. 2002 - synth-pop comes back.
