Well done Pappa. I like your calm and clear reviewing style.
Many thanks David :)
The ketchup song... classic. I can't have been the only one trying to figure out which one was the hotty. 😁
Hahaa, the dinky brunette mate ;)
The Ketchup song is a gem Papps. I've got it between a couple of 70s punk track's on one of my compilations. Its great. Burger looks pretty good value too!
Indeed a catchy tune Col, as for the burgers, cheap and cheerful :)
Spoilers FFS @@Papparoni😂
They look great value for money Papp.
Most supermarket burger buns are too small also so these burgers will fit a treat.
I bet if cooked on a charcoal BBQ they would be nice?
Roll on the summer😊
Absolutely they would be good barbecued mate, fried onions would help lift them as well :)
You’re a chef! The cheeseburger was a brainwave! 😂🎉
Cheers mate, I rather liked the burger in its cheese coat :)
Great review really enjoyed
Thanks Greg
Good afternon I love a burger, got some lamb ones from Morrisons. .I also fancied Scotch eggs, lovely In the air frier with skin on 🍟. God bless you and keep you ❤ x
Sounds yummy Miss Dream, I do like a lamb burger, and I must try heating a scotch egg up in the airfryer, thank you for telling me about that :)
Sprinkle an oxo cube on these while frying them works a treat
What a top idea, cheers James
A Big Mac is £5.60 now !!!
Good gracious, and a KFC Tower burger cost me £6.99 the other day, ridiculous!
What happened to the 99p macdonalds burger oh memories x
£5.60 for a burger thats never seen beef 😂😂
Ridiculous for that processed rubbish
Rip off
Good Afternoon Papparoni, another excellent review here of this product ! I would not have bought this as I am very worried about Gnarl etc but from what you say they are pretty good ! amazing - have a great evening Mate :-)
Now and again a decent cheap find surprises me mate :)
Thanks for the shout out Paps, not bad overall then and i'm sure you've had burgers from their luxury range that have been worse than these! 😁
Indeed I have Mr Atkinson, strange how gnarl doesn't seem to care where it appears!
Hmmm - here we go! / Ha a tomato song - nice / Hmmm OK - if I really need to. 6/10 is reasonable ! Mark.
'If I really need to' - good way of putting it with this one mate :)
Had them to. Can't complain for a quid.
Quite right Peter.
Mad cow
Well, considering beef mince (20% fat) in Tesco, at Aldi price match is juuust under £5, this does seem like a good option for a midweek/quick dinner.
Did they shrink alot Paps?
Only a little bit chap, I've seen worse shrinkers
You'd fall over and faint if you saw the prices they're charging us here 😂
I've just looked Michelle, and yes, I'm on my back!
Cheese burger without the bun like it 👍 definitely ok for a quid, season them up would help the taste, probably one off for me like most of this range, good moon burger 🌙 review, thx for the mention 👍
I'm with you Lynne, nice to try the once, and moon burgers should be a thing :)
I saw 4 burgers for £1; I had to click to see how bad they were! 😹Good smush factor! I'm surprised that the patty is good enough for 6/10, considering they're only 25p each! That's impressive! 🙀
Indeed some cheap action is surprising :)
I love their minted lamb quarter pounders...have you seen the new iceland grill house range? The battered cheeseburger is really good they also have a jalapeño burger in the range
Just looked that new stuff up mate, the cheeseburger looks well filthy!
I don't fancy these at all, hehe they remind me of something I had as a kid from Bejams. Thanks for the review though! I am making a big pot of chili con carne today, in the cauldron, it should last for two days though. The main cost is the mince about £4, luckily I have everything else in. It is getting harder of course though with the cost of decent meat and fresh veg.
Homemade chillis are always good with me Louise, and yes indeed buying quality food is getting harder, fortunately the farm shop that I use have kept the prices of their organic meat down, but the veg is going up!
Wish we had a butcher locally, it's great that you have a farm shop near. It was £1.73 for a small bunch of celery, yikes!@@Papparoni
Crikey that is all the money for celery. The butcher that I use is ace, it's not really a shop, he just sells his meat straight from his farm over a simple counter, old school, best meat I know of :)
Proper farm to table, I like that, well I have the cauldron bubbling, plenty of grated carrots and sweet peppers to bulk it out, with leftover mushrooms, and the obligatory kidney beans, made it mild with only one spoon of hot chilli powder, cumin, black pepper and a wee bit of paprika. I shall drape pickled jalapenos over my portion, hehe hardly "authentic" but tasty, and the guinea pig gets the veggie ends, zero waste!@@Papparoni
Love that Louise, particularly the guinea pig getting the ends, and the word drape :)
Did not know ketchup had a song. Plastic cheese? Yummy 😅 You could make some hamburger buns. I’ll show you how. Lol
I can't wait for you to show me Mary :)
Hi Papp, just saw these in Asda I vow to thee my country Waygu burgers have you tried them yet? 😊
Hi there, do you mean these things?
czcams.com/video/W2ypKwR_9Cs/video.html
Decent enough for the price. I was wondering, do they have any tvp in them? Do you know Paps as they're not available to view on the Iceland website?
I can't see any TVP on the ingredients list Chaat Man.
well that's elevated them then!@@Papparoni
Unbelievable 25p because what can that buy now? There's a choice too, burger bun if you have one but you have invented the plastic cheese wrap. Worth stocking up on some while the goings good.
Indeed so Uncle, my stashing of goods has served me well as I buy in bulk, for example twenty tins of M&S food at £2.50 a pop which is now £4.50 ;)
Geez Papp, you could make a blood pressure monitor breaking double double cheeseburger for just over a quid. Or add a pattie to one of those .50p pies and make a pie burger for .75p
Fantastic value either way.
These burger patties would be great to have on hand for a quick burger or add to a mixed grill (Aussie style).
The cheapest lot here are ALDI frozen 6 pack $7.99
I buy them regularly, as they're good quality, next to no gnarl and taste great.
No rude bits naked cheeseburger review. Just a bit of meat and sauce between a slice of cheese.
Cheers John 👍🤤😀
I had a grilled T bone steak and heirloom tomato, chips and stirfried veggies for dinner. Very satisfying.
Cheers John, your dinner sounds lovely, as for these burgers, I reckon your double double cheeseburger would work nicely in a pitta with the usual accompaniments :)
@@Papparoni Good luck keeping all that together in a pitta. But worth a try 😉
In a bun, with a thin slice of Spanish onion, a slice of tomato, some shredded lettuce, ketchup and a couple of dill pickle slices... Nothing wrong with that for 25p.
Gotta have plastic cheese, though!✌
I reckon those additions would taste great with one of these burgers Mat :)
Going to Iceland, on the way home from work... @@Papparoni ✌
Fill your boots :)
Boots filled at Iceland. 4 burgers and 8 slices of Dairylea for £2.25. Great burgers, for the price.@@Papparoni ✌
Pleased that you liked them mate :)
I've actually tried these Iceland £1.00 Burgers too Papp... And although they were never going to be gourmet Burgers at a quid for four mate... Having said that though... They would certainly fill a little hole for anyone who wanted a quick cheap meaty fix... I'm sure kids would love these Burgers when served with a Fried Egg... Chips and Baked Beans... And possibly with some Bread and Butter too... As long as the kids enjoy eating them... I'm sure they'll be a decent and filling purchase for most parents out there... There's not much you can get for a quid these days mate... So when supermarkets actually make an effort to help out struggling families like this... It can only be a positive thing my friend... Many thanks for the review Papp... It's very much appreciated... All the very best... Cheers mate. 🍺
Thanks Rick, indeed with chips, beans, and egg, they would go down nicely, and to be honest I feel for families these days what with the cost of living, I'm in the fortunate position where my children are grown up so can feed themselves now :)
@@Papparoni Absolutely Papp... When we were kids... We were really poor... Most meals throughout the week were cheap meals... But filling meals nevertheless... Chips... Egg... And Baked Beans with Bread and Margarine were a regular cheap meal for us... We also understood that we ate what was put in front of us... Or we would go hungry... We had coin operated meters for the Electricity and the Television... Hand-me-down clothes were the norm... As was making repairs to things... As we simply didn't have the money to replace them... Pocket money was an exception and never the rule... We didn't have much of anything... But we were happy!... Budget food items were always on the shopping list... Branded items were always too much money... We never really had Butter... We had a cheap Margarine Spread instead... Supermarket own brand products were the only foods we could really afford... At Christmas time... Mum would take out a small loan from the Provident... This was paid back each week over time... Which meant that there was enough money to buy small Christmas presents for us kids.
As well as providing a few treats in our Christmas shopping... Anything that had to be replaced in the home... Was usually purchased from a Catalogue and paid off over 20 or 40 weeks... Life growing up in the 60's & 70's was never easy for most people... But it made us appreciate life in our adulthood when we obviously had more in general... These days kids think they're badly done to if they don't have the latest £1,000 i-Phone... Or £500 Games Console... Or are wearing the latest £200 Nike Trainers... Most don't know what it is to go without these days... But there are still some families out there... That are struggling just as much as we were in our childhood... Sadly there will always be some people in need my friend. 😢
Indeed there will be people in need mate, and we should help them as and when we can. We were similar to you chaps growing up, frost on the inside of the windows and the catalogue pay over 20-52 weeks, then repeat. Saying all that though we were happy too, probably as we had to communicate with each other more, and only three TV channels :)
@@Papparoni 😂 Ah yes... The three TV Channels mate... Where daytime TV started at about 5 or 6pm... 😂👍
And turned into a test card around midnight, happy days!
Just picked up a £1 pack of the lamb & mint pies
Hope you like them mate, a couple of people have said to me that they enjoyed them
Not bad for a quid mate
They shrink down to nowt by looks of it but still worth trying 👍
I forgot to measure it today Sarah!
Ah ok.. well they don't look too bad 👍
Booooshakalaka I love a Berger if it's good or crap yummy.
Indeed there's something about them isn't there Wayne!
@@Papparoni Pappy I forgot to ask you where can I purchase some of the Persian blue salt from and thanks.
I get mine from a website called spice mountain :)
bet there is more pork than beef.
so you ask 500g of aldi beef mince is £2.25 so really is it still value
since they have to have lots of cheap bulk in them and a higher fat content
If you compare them to the raw ingredients they won't ever be value I reckon eh David.
i bought them and they have more beef than pork. i think beef is about 40 smthing percent and port 20 smthing. @@Papparoni
I personally don’t mess with cheap burgers. Ever since I took a chance on Iceland Quarter Pounders.
They was nasty. Proper dry, nasty hard gristle bad taste. I usually buy 4 fresh Scottish Quarter Pounders from Lidl for £3.50 or 4 Fresh Berchwood? Quarter Pounders for £2.65.
I get that Graham, burgers are hit and miss, I've had some awful ones, even from the so called luxury ranges.
Nice one Papp, what was meat content
Ah yes, I should've said, beef 42% and pork 32% :)
Thanks Papp, that's good ratio
1:34 A large nosed Jolly Jack Tar mid burger, with cap set jauntily over one eye , flexing his biceps 💪🏻. Popeye Pareidolia for the POPs, Papps?
I have to admit I can't see the Jack Tar mate, which is annoying as they used to freak me out as a child! :D
@@Papparoni Immediately above the two left hand fork tines, Papps. He's looking down, cap over his left eye, nose protruding and both arms a la💪🏻. It was clowns with me🤡.
Got him! Clowns are freaky too, that one in Poltergeist used to do my head in!
@@Papparoni Old Roy "Chubby" Brown joke. Someone told my daughter that men with big feet had big c**ks. You shoulda seen some of the clowns she brought home....
Haaaa!
These arent going to win any awards but cant complain at the price. The musical interludes got a bit cheesy today papp lol.
Hahaa, indeed I couldn't find any music to do with burgers so the cheese had to flow :D
@Papparoni fair enough lol. Should have done burger man zz top 🤣
Never heard of that but thanks for letting me know :)
Stop burning things pap
I like to tell myself they are well done! :)
4 Burgers for a pound, not bad , but lets see whats in them first 🤮 🤢 😋
Nice little things, I've had worse :)
Missed ur live but caught up later. Luv that u chat to ur subs like friends, u hv a such a nice personality. I really hope u get well soon. Ur politics r BASED!!💯🫶🏻. Total respect.
Cheers TH, indeed I have to say what I know, just hope more will wake up eventually.
I think most ppl do know wats going on but there’s not much they can do.I wont waste my time n mental health deeping it too much but I do call it out when I need to. I think the far left will burn themselves out eventually, ppl r tired with the lies n delusional bs🙄
I agree people are getting sick of the nonsence, the agenda will continue though, all scripted as I'm sure you know, hope you found MI on that website, and the only answer is mass non compliance ;)
YT luv taking out my messages! They r so paranoid it’s cringe.🤣Yeah he seemed ok, maybe a bit extra on somethings but is right about a lot of things.
I don’t think there will ever b mass compliance, older ppl won’t go against the law n most younger ppl don’t give a shxt🙄
Well done 25p each
Return of mad cow
