  • Lois Lowry, two-time Newbery Medalist (Number the Stars and The Giver), shares her inspiration for writing, the universal themes in her stories that deal with human connections-relationships between people and their impact on the world-and how she translates her ideas to the page. The award-winning author also discusses her versatility as a writer from her futuristic settings to her colorful characters and the stories they tell (recorded in 2010 at C. D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA).

    Tbh I have your books Numbers the star... I read it, super motivational and inspirational...

    I've always dreamed of directing, and NUMBER THE STARS is one of the books I've wanted to see as a film since we read it in Middle School. If I GOTTA BE THE ONE TO MAKE THIS INTO A MOVIE, I WILL.
