05 Preparing the Altar | Claude Swanepoel | Namibia Regional Equip 2024

In this session, Claude shares on how God is preparing an altar for us to lay our lives on. It is a willing sacrifice. God is trying to help us to see and undo the knots in our lives to make us more holy. Romans 12v1 says, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” We cannot worship God in the way we want to worship, but in the way the Bible explains God wants it done. We are called to worship and lay our lives down for God. God is knocking on our hearts to open up for Him.
Claude explains how we can offer ourselves to God as a presentable and holy sacrifice. Every plan we have should be laid down to God. Our hearts need to be blameless before Him. We should bow our knee to God and seek His way of building church - for His glory.
But there are issues that keep us from being sacrificial offerings to God:
a. Pride, which separates us from God and others (Galatians 6:3 & Romans 12:3).
b. Traditions, which nullify the Word of God (Matthew 15:6). The fire of the Lord will burn away traditions. God will use us to break bondages and traditions so that we can worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
c. Hidden agendas. God’s agenda is sacrificial - Jesus gave His entire life for us. A yielded heart is what God is looking for, a yielded heart knows the sacrifice that Jesus has made for them. We should not worry what people say about us, but just focus on God.
