Please say hi in the comments and let me know how you are doing! Stay tuned for some more diabetes content from quarantine :)

    It’s so refreshing to hear someone else gets excited about “naked showers”! You don’t realize how much you take things like that for granted until they become a rarity!

    Hello Michelle! I enjoyed your message today regarding staying in and also eating pasta, which I’ve avoided for a long time because of the spikes in my bs. I would take enough insulin but it would actually hit my bs and make me drop low before the pasta hit my bs. I will have to do some trials because I do like pasta. I am now working from home 4 days a week for a major grocery company (office job) and it is going well for me. Hopefully this pandemic will be over sooner than it currently looks like but until than, stay safe and healthy! Mary

    Great job with these videos Michelle. I’m a (recently) retired video production teacher (Type 1). I could have used many of your videos as samples in my class. 👏👏 Audio, lighting, location, framing and, of course, scripting (or at least being prepared). But I only recently discovered your channel. Thanks though. At minimum, your stories have left me feeling assured that I’m not the only one going through these G5, G6 + pump growing pains. I’ve learned a lot. Good luck surviving the pandemic.

    Loved the comment about isolation helping you to stabilise your sugars a bit, I'm seeing that too. I've decided that it's other people who cause my control to wander, all those distractions and interruptions! Although living by myself I'm sure as time goes by I'll also be recognising the value of good friends and family!!!

I was looping but since isolating it has not been working so I'm back to good old me and my Omnipod. Basal-iq would be so nice right now.

I workout in my basement which is great for me and I take my puppies for a walk in the late afternoon. My blood sugar has been pretty good. I find pasta tricky too. Getting better at it but thanks for the tip I have never measured it in a cup usually just weight it on my scale. Gonna try that for sure. Take care. 🙋‍♀️

    • @MichelleLord
      @MichelleLord  Před 4 lety

    I just started wearing the Dexom G6. The instructions say to place the device on my stomach but I really hate wearing it there. I see that you wear it on your arm. That's where I used to wear my Freestyle Libra monitor which I like but my insurance decided not to cover it anymore. So my question is, does the G6 work well on your arm?

    • @MichelleLord
      @MichelleLord  Před 4 lety

      Yes, I find the Dexcom works well on my arm, BUT that is super personal. I know some T1Ds who have horrible accuracy on their arms and hate wearing it there. Then a lot of T1Ds love putting the Dexcom on their leg, and I hate the leg lol! I know this answer isn't helpful, but placement preference varies from person to person (from what I've seen in the T1D community). I would chat with your diabetes team and see what they think about placing the sensor in an unapproved spot :)
