Hello. Thanks for uploading this video! Quick question, the plastic tab on the inside of the post where it connects to the black part(tongue), is that supposed to be there? I can’t lock it in upright position with it. Thanks!
Hi Michael! I don't recall seeing a plastic tab on the inside of the post on mine. If it can't lock to stay in the upright position, try removing that tab.
Hello thanks for uploading this video ,excuseme ,what number is your key? Do you think that whith that same one l can open it ? My is the same as yours
A148 - not sure if you can open others since each key is probably individually made to work with specific bike rack locks.
Does it move around much when you are driving around and have bikes mounted? I noticed it moves quite a bit even after you tighten everything up
It did initially until I noticed I didn’t push and lift it up before tightening. Once I straightened it out in the receiver by slightly lifting and pushing forward, it allowed me to tighten it even more and then it was very secure with barely any movement while loaded.
@@DIYMaistor fantastic! Thanks for your advice and video :-)
@@jayfiled anytime! :-)
@@DIYMaistor One more Q! Can it actually carry five bikes? I've seen some reviews about the Yakima 4 barely able to carry 4 bikes. I was wondering about this one whether it comfortably carries it or if it is a squeeze and also how much it flexes
@@jayfiled it does have the space for four bikes but it’s definitely a tight squeeze, especially if all of them are large-frame adult bikes. Five definitely wouldn’t fit as there are only four cradles that stabilize the bikes when placed on the rack. It is a very sturdy rack so even if it was fully loaded, it would probably be fairly stable.
where are the bikes you want to put on we need to see any sway
Sorry, didn't record it but they're in the thumbnail. Minor sway but nothing bad, as long as you tighten up everything properly.
