- Ever since you've seen this closing logo from one of little childhood shows like "Teletubbies" back in the childhood days like me, Here is the history of the cute ragdoll who holds up the candle to became a very cute logo with an inspiration of Columbia Pictures' Torch Lady. Later then, they plastered every time for reruns and then gets sold to DHX Media.

The first one always reminds me of Brum. Had the Rescue and other stories VHS and watched it a lot in the 90s :)
I used to be scared of this logo back when I was between 1-11 years old. That’s why I never finished a episode of teletubbies when I was 1-4
The original Ragdoll logos from the 80s and 90s are still memorable and adorable.

I liked the old logos a lot and when my Mother brought me a Raggedy Ann doll from a charity shop, it made me like them even more, but when they changed it, I thought it lost it's charm and made it look less original and creative.

In 2001, Teletubbies was taken off the air by The Itsy Bitsy Entertainment Company due to a complaint by GLSEN. The best loved children's distributor filed a huge lawsuit against PBS, BBC and Ragdoll Productions then went solo and released a few DVDs under their home video sublabel, Anchor Bay Entertainment, including It's a Boy Girl Thing, Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World, Alice Upside Down, Drive Me Crazy (Blu-ray Disc re-release) and Monte Carlo (Blu-ray Disc release).

Fun fact: in the 1984 ragdoll logo The doll in the logo is based off of the Raggedy Ann doll but it’s actually based off of anne woods daughters doll.

Teletubbies was my favorite show produced by them. Now, thanks to DHX Media, the show is back and better than ever.
I used to love Teletubbies as a small child. Not to have bad taste or anything, but I am not a big fan of the reboot. If you like it, that's fine.

I used to watch boohbah and teletubbies with the last ragdoll logo in it and I used to get scared of it. But really - it IS creepy. And I still have nightmares. :-/
I was never scared of the last logo, but I was terrified of most of the others. The doll looks a bit creepy in all its incarnations, and the jingle at 0:23 sounds "too happy" if that's the right term, to the point where it seems slightly ominous. Although I never watched the variant at 0:40 as a young 'un, I bet I'd have gotten freaked out by that one as well, since the music-box-style arrangement sounds almost like something from a horror movie.
