I like most of these but why would the bigger man (I get the impression a lone wolf would also be the bigger man) fuck someone up over an insult. My mate said something I don't personally follow but wise people probably do this is what I remember from his words it's what i remember so not a direct quote "someone offering you an insult is like someone offering you a drink if you leave it on the bar it means nothing if you accept there's all kind of implications". Maybe I can give a better example. When the boss as the alpha screwed up, the betas will talk behind him and still make a good attitude in front of him. I consider myself an introvert, I prefer solitude over crowds however Everytime someone takes me along with their friends or new people I can connect with them instantly and engage in a whole conversation without trouble . David Goggins is somebody most would view as an alpha male because he’s so inspiring to many people and his personality comes off strong, but if you look at him more closely and listen to his life story he fits the sigma male characteristics a lot more. IMO when men who would be considered beta go through a spiritual awakening and strong personal development, they’re more likely to gravitate towards sigma male characteristics. When you have developed a strong sense of self confidence that’s unshakable and become grounded in your own energy you will naturally gravitate towards more sigma male like traits. You have the confidence, integrity, and intelligence to go left when everyone goes right - not because that’s the opposite and rebellious but because you have wholeheartedly decided left is what’s best for you and your goals despite the opinions of others. But at the end of the day if you can fit into one of three personality traits neatly you’re probably a very boring person - don’t obsess with the labels, just focus on your own personal goals and development. I can relate to that. Although I do not like the idea of classifying people, this short video sort of describes how loners act in this world. When you have developed a strong sense of self confidence that’s unshakable and become grounded in your own energy you will naturally gravitate towards more sigma male like traits. You have the confidence, integrity, and intelligence to go left when everyone goes right - not because that’s the opposite and rebellious but because you have wholeheartedly decided left is what’s best for you and your goals despite the opinions of others. But at the end of the day if you can fit into one of three personality traits neatly you’re probably a very boring person - don’t obsess with the labels, just focus on your own personal goals and development. I can relate to that. Although I do not like the idea of classifying people, this short video sort of describes how loners act in this world. There's no alpha, beta, or sigma males. David Mech coined the term "alpha male" with his research on wolves in 1970 and later debunked it with a published paper in 1999.

Elon Musk seems to fit really well to your definition of Sigma male. He is a great example that you don't need to behave as an alpha to be respected.
I think musk is an alpha/omega. An omega who obtained the power of alpha, like a rejected wolf from a pack who will survive and become a ferocious beast.
Unfortunately Musk doesn't seem to be terribly Alpha or Sigma when it comes to his public romantic relationships. Married the same woman twice, almost had to carve up his business empire in the second divorce settlement.

Alpha: Leader, decides, takes action and determines the direction of a group. Has all access and support but has the main responsibility.
Beta: In a close relation to the alpha as friend or partner, enjoys privileges given to not challenge the alpha and operates as a deputy.
Gamma: Basically lost the fight to become alpha or the opportunity to serve as beta. In a state of drive and oppposition in contrast to a beta.
Omega: Either not aware or not capable to oppose the alpha and came to terms with given circumstances. Can contribute to the group.
Sigma: Not an integral part of the group but in cooperative or manipulative relation to the alpha to gain personal benefits. No urge to opposition yet.
Alpha gets all women he wants to have, Beta gets those left over and Sigma has to take action subsurface the get a women but is able to unhitch alphas women which beta is not capable of. Gamma and Omega are missing out. Beta and Sigma are able to challenge the alpha. (Sigma is able to do so when he is perceived by the group as a Beta, otherwise he will be recognized and antagonized by the alpha which can lead to an exclusion from the group). Gamma can become Beta and vice versa. Omega is kinda stuck unless sth. significant would change (personality, group, resources, goals..). When an alpha loses his position, he becomes a Gamma. Gamma can become Sigma if he manages to improve outside the group and a Sigma basically can become anything.
Important: The status of a member can vary depending on the composition and intentions of a group which is dynamic and different as there are complex relationship among all persons involved. Nobody is an Alpha everywhere at any circumstance.

@@ionutconstantin3039 the status of an individual in modern society is not cast into fixed hierarchies. For example you can be the alpha within your family given you are the sole provider but be an omega in a bureau at your job at the same time where decisions are not made by you. People which are not aware their role at all often are gamma or omega. if you are working as a freelancer with not fixed business relationships at all you are likely to be a sigma.

@@tmerchead1 Some wolves leave if they feel they aren't getting anything out of the pack. Many documented examples of this. It's one of the reasons why there isn't one giant pack that exists but many smaller ones.
Term 'Alpha' was created as a perfect stereotype of how a male should be. But since many couldn't connect with the Alpha traits, they created these low level Sigma,Ligma BS inorder to make people feel good about themselves.
It may be good to some extent, but these things often leads people to stay in their confort zones and not explore life to the fullest. If you don't fall for these traps, then it's perfectly fine.
