- Do you guys remember this concert? This is the VERY FIRST concert that I've uploaded on my channel! The original description was very short, and contained nothing interesting. This new description contains the "classic" Gregsynthbootlegs outline (quality, vocal shape, etc), and will be much better! Despite being a bit incomplete (this recording misses "Now I'm Here" and everything after "Tie Your Mother Down"), this show ranks high on my "favorites" list, and is among one of the best shows on the tour! The audience is very enthusiastic, and every song sounds strong!
Freddie's voice is in superb shape for this show, and he delivers many versions of songs that wouldn't sound out of place on the Crazy Tour! He sings excellent versions of the fast "We Will Rock You," "Let Me Entertain You" (where he sings album phrasing in spots), "Need Your Loving Tonight" (nails the whole thing--best version ever), "Play The Game" (top 10 version), "Mustapha," "Death On Two Legs" (probably the best "medley" version), "Somebody To Love," "Save Me" (best version on the tour), "Fat Bottomed Girls," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," "Bohemian Rhapsody," and "Tie Your Mother Down." This is also the last known recording where Freddie still had the "Crazy Tour edge" to his voice--later recordings on the 1980 tour have him sounding more "macho" and he would start to really oversing songs! The rest of the band are in strong form as well (brilliant solos from Brian and Roger)!
ENJOY!!!
Note: Thank Ikeisbo for making me update this description! I spent 30 minutes trying to think of stuff! - Hudba
i love this version AND i love Freddie's intro: "i need your loving...TONIGHT!"
Yes me too i love it

Why do you need to write the notes?
@@shahaffiq5860 why not
@@shahaffiq5860 every queen fan likes high notes if not youre not a real fan.
@@thepacmanface3815 I disagree. Every Queen fan loves his voice. And yes I like high notes but not to the point where it became annoying when almost every comment stating the notes he hits.
Absolutely perfect rendition
Best live version
Great song
Awesome! ive never heard Freddie hit so many B4s in the same song!
I was there the night before GREAT SHOW!!
I consider this a Crazy Tour gig xD
Kylan with less sweetness tough
If I like this version? I already have this performance in my car!
i think this is the best version of this song.
My older brother was at this concert. He saw every Queen appearance in Oakland from '78 to what, '81? At least 3 or 4 appearances, I believe. These are the shows that my brother keeps telling me about all these years later. The apex of the hard rock music era and none better than Queen to deliver it. The entire audience goes berserk after each song on this recording and the energy being put out by the band is nothing but 110%. What a great piece of Queen's historical record. Thank you very much for the upload.
Queen didn't perform in oakland 1979. They did in 1978.
From 1978 to 1982?
I'm sure that they performed until 1982
I always got the feeling the band kind of "underestimate" John Deacon's less celebrated compositions, see this one or If You Can't Beat 'Em, I mean Freddie very very often forgetting the words, Brian changing the leads when not playing them at all, always wondered why. This version sounds perfect whatever!
For me, I think the reason why is because John writes complex lyrics.
@@kylleramirez5307 Not more complex than Brian
It sounds good!
King of all understatements.
Great!
Omg you can really hear John’s voice in this! I don’t care what anyone says, I think he’s a good singer!
This is like the Game Tour counterpart of IYCBTJT
IYCBTJT - Fuck You with that reductions

Where is he Moustache?
It's their, its just a combination of Freddie's Position and the lighting.
Of course is the best version ! Sorry guy's but this version come from the gig at Sao Paulo - Braziil 1981l ! I compare the both vid & listning carefully one by on segments (each souds, each instruments, the way, of Freddie's words prononciation, the tempo and heard the same feed back when Freddie's go to the piaono) etc...and it's the fucking brilliant same version ! It suck, when poeple (the guy who post this vid, make a ''copy-paste'') !!! It's wrong !
Its not a "copy paste" video, this is Oakland's audio. The video you've probably seen is the "Best Live Version of Need Your Loving Tonight". Where it shows VIDEO from Sao Paulo and AUDIO from Oakland.
Oops. I just read the below description on the Sao Paulo Vid. By the way, thank's for the info ! ;)
It's Okay!
Instruments drowned the vocals--
