Vanilla Ice was discovered at a club on MLK Blvd in Dallas by DJ earthquake, who is the DJ in this video. This is what he said: "“I noticed this white guy dancing in the crowd. City Lights (the club) was all Black, so at first I was like, ‘What does he think he’s doing?’ He could dance his ass off, and we’d never seen a white guy do that. The women was loving it and getting all up on him like, ‘Oooh, look at him.’ And he was like, ‘I’m not finna stop. I’m gonna make y’all love me.’”

"Ice Ice Baby" is a hip hop song by American rapper Vanilla Ice, and DJ Earthquake.[3][4] It was based on the bassline of "Under Pressure" by British rock band Queen and British singer David Bowie, who did not receive songwriting credit or royalties until after it had become a hit.
In later interviews, Van Winkle readily admitted he sampled the song and claimed his 1990 statement was a joke; others, however, suggested he had been serious.[15][16] After representatives for Queen and Bowie threatened a copyright infringement suit against him, the matter was settled out of court, with Van Winkle being required to pay financial recompense to the original artists.[17] Bowie and all members of Queen were also given songwriting credit for the sample.[15] "Ice Ice Baby" is written in the key of D minor.

Notice in these 80s and 90s rap videos and other groups. People can really dance. Now they just put out fancy cars and girls grinding on things and talking about money. Not that much talent really

A lot of whites acted black and dressed in hip hop gear back then. they used to call them wiggers. that generation of whites was part of the hip hop generation Gen X the 42- 55 year olds now and kissed their butts đŸ˜©. they grew up on gangsta rap and old school hip hop. thats just one of the reasons why its weird for blacks from that generation to see any kind of racial problems millennials have now. it was complete opposite back then. as you can see whites loved them some black ppl they partied together and were friends race wasnt a thing like now. but black people from that generation carried themselves way different than millennials of color now. they were looked up to by every race. now that theyre older some are faking like theyre racist😭. all of those 40 50 year old karens now partied to rap and hip hop when they were teens and 20s

    Na youngin
its not that the sons too long, your generations hop hop is too short. In the 80’s and 90’s hip hop pretty much always had a minimum of 3 verses and it was better that way. Todays generation is just lazy
lazy with the music and lazy with the pen
