I wrote an ending to this:
"Okay then....." Jason said, confused as Nico continued to storm away
Jason walked up to Annabeth. "Is Nico alright?'
Annabeth continued to shuffle through her papers with her back to Jason as she said, "He asked me... he asked me if I blame him for.....it."
Jason understood. Ever since it happened, that's all they were calling it. It. No one could bear to say Percy's Death "And do you? Don't worry, you can be honest, I won't judge." Annabeth turned around, her gray eyes were tearing up- understandable- and they locked into Jason's. 'Part of me does. Part of me blames Percy. Of course the asshole sacrificed himself." Annabeth was full on crying, and just watching her made Jason's eyes start to water. "But I know that's wrong. I know the only one to blame is Gaea." Jason nodded. For once Annabeth was thankful for his emotionlessness, he was a good listener. Annabeth hugged Jason, who had started to cry completely. "I miss him so much."
"I miss him too." They stayed like that for a while.
"Nico! Nico wait up!"
"Oh.. hi Hazel." Nico said as he continued to walk to the Hades cabin.
"Nico, slow down. Are you okay? I know its been hard for you since-"
Nico cut her off before she even had the chance to say the dreaded words.
"Hazel... I cant talk about it right now."
"Nico, I've been worried about you- everyone has. It's been hard for everyone but you... you witnessed it."
A tear streamed down Nico's face. "I... I tried to save him. I did everything"
"I know. You did everything you could. No one blames you. It's Gaea's fault."
Under his breath Nico said "There's still something I can do"
"What did you say?"
"Please... I have to go." Nico walked off.
"Nico..." Hazel said, feeling defeated. She knew there was no use in following him.
Hazel and Frank laid next to each other on the beach, they talked about their favorite memories of Percy.
"Remember when he almost died on our quest to save Thanatos?"
"Yeah...which time?"
They laughed. They hadn't
done that much since the end of the giant war. There was a long silence, which Frank didn't mind.
It was interrupted by Hazel. "Frank, I'm worried about Nico." Uh oh. Frank sat up and looked at her. "What's wrong?"
"I talked to him earlier. He seemed in a rush, like he was determined to do something. I heard him mutter something about 'still being able to do something.' I'm scared about what he's planning."
"What might he be planning" Frank couldn't tell why Hazel looked so worried.
"Well you can reclaim a soul that has gone to the underworld -"
"You can reclaim a soul?"
Franks mind immediately went to his mom, who had only passed a few months ago, though it felt like longer. Frank then felt ashamed that he hadn't thought of Percy first, but his mind had not fully processed that he was dead.
"Yes... you can reclaim a soul that has gone to the underworld by exchanging it for a soul that has cheated death... like Nico's....."
It dawned on Frank what Hazel was implying. "Oh." He had to admit he had thought about Nico dying instead of Percy, who had been like and older brother to him. He knew it was wrong but sometimes he wished that would have been the case. But no... he was Hazel's brother. He couldn't bear to see her in that much pain.
"I need to try and stop him." Hazel began to cry. "I miss Percy... so much, but-"
"It's not what he would've wanted."
Hazel was thankful Frank had said that, because she couldn't think of another good reason for stoping Nico, other than that she didn't think she could stand losing her brother. She kissed Frank and said "I should probably do it now, before he leaves." She started running towards the Hades cabin. Frank sighed.
Piper walked into the Athena cabin, where Annabeth was all alone, sitting on her bunk. Her siblings had been told by Chiron to give her some space. Annabeth wasn't supposed to know but, of course, she did, and she was thankful. She was looking at pictures of Percy. "Planning the funeral?" Piper said with a smile. Annabeth looked startled to see her "oh... yeah. Sorry I didn't see you walk in." "Do you mind if I stay?" Asked Piper. "Yeah. I'd like that. I could really talk to someone right now." "That's why I'm here." Annabeth smiled. Piper was a true friend.
"It's just, this is the second funeral Ive had to plan for Percy, but this time, I'm know he's gone for good. It's so hard."
"I know Annabeth." Piper didn't know what else to say. She wanted to comfort your friend. "It's hard." She hadn't known him very well but Piper knew Percy was one of the most loved people at Camp Half-Blood. Even though she had known him for such a short time, she still felt the hole that was left when Percy died. "But he wouldn't have wanted you to be sad. He would've wanted you to be happy. He loved you so much Annabeth." Piper really hoped she was saying the right things.
"Yeah. Thanks Piper." Annabeth smiled. "Can you help me pick out pictures for the memorial?" "Of course."
"Hazel? Why are you running?"
"Oh Piper, I'll explain just come with me. "
Piper followed Hazel to the Hades cabin, a place that had always creeped Piper out. Hazel peeked in and she looked relieved. "He's still in there. Good."
They walked around to the back of the cabin.
"Who's still in there? What's going on?"
"Ok I'll explain. I think Nico is going to try to exchange his soul for Percy's."
"You can do that?" Asked a surprised Piper.
"Yes. You can reclaim a soul that's gone to the underworld in exchange for a soul that's cheated death. Just like Nico's. I have to stop him from doing that."
"Hazel... wow. That's... crazy" Piper thought about how people would react if Percy came back. If he crashed his funeral for the second time. The camp would rejoice. Annabeth- everyone would be happy again... Percy would be back. "That's a lot to think about."
"WE HAVE TO SAVE MY BROTHER OKAY?" Hazel cried, and then realized how loud she had been. "I'm sorry Piper... I- I miss Percy too but... he sacrificed himself for a reason. He wanted it this way. I have to stop Nico from doing this. You can help me or you can go away." Piper nodded "You're right... we should stop him." She's forgotten how protective Hazel was over her brother.
"I'll go in first, okay?"
Hazel walked in the Hades cabin. Nico was on his bunk writing something. "Nico? What are you doing?" Nico was startled. "Hazel! Oh... it's nothing " Hazel snatched it from him, not knowing what to expect.
"Hazel... I'm sorry. I had to do this. I miss you. I love you," she read. "What is this?"
"I'm going to do something I have to do."
"No. you're going to do something stupid. If you do this, Percy will hate you. He didn't want this. Just please don't leave me."
"How did you know..."
"Because I know you. I'm your sister, remember? Please don't do this." Hazel began to cry.
Nico started to walk to the door of the Hades cabin. "Hazel. You don't understand. I have to do this. I'm sorry. Goodbye."
"That's it? That's what you're leaving me with? That's what you're leaving this world with?"
Nico had his back towards Hazel, hiding the tears streaming down his face "what else do you expect me to do? This is hard for me too, but it's what's right. It should've been me in the first place. No one here cares about me anyway. Not like Percy."
"I CARE ABOUT YOU. I LOVE YOU. Don't do this to me."
Nico looked back at Hazel. "I love you too Hazel. But I have to do this." He walked out the door. There stood Piper. "Piper please... I need to do this."
"I'm sorry but that's just not happening"
Annabeth looked everywhere for Piper. She forgot to show her a few pictures that she didn't realize had fallen underneath her bed. She decided to go to the Hades cabin to ask Hazel if she had seen Piper. She walked in to see Hazel hugging Nico and crying while Piper appeared to be charmspeaking Nico, who also had tears streaming down his face, to stay seated. "Please explain." They all looked up Annabeth but didn't say anything, like they were scared to. "Annabeth," said Piper very soothly.
"Just tell me, please."
"Nico wants to exchange his soul for... for Percy's since he's cheated death." said Piper
It took a moment for Annabeth to process this information. The three looked up at her expectantly.
"Nico... I..." Annabeth choked, and began to cry. "Nico... don't do that. Please. I miss Percy like hell but... he wouldn't want that. He sacrificed his life because he wanted to save yours. He did that for a reason. Please, just let it be." They all bawled.
Leo still couldn't believe he was at Percy Jackson's funeral. For months he had heard of Percy Jackson, the Hero of Olympus. All of his adventures, all of his stories. When he first met Percy, Leo was unimpressed. But he quickly came to recognize why he was so loved. He was goofy, powerful, and loyal as hell, which he proved in the end when he sacrificed himself to save his friend. So many people were crying, more than he had ever seen at a funeral. The ones crying the hardest were Annabeth, of course, whose eyes were puffy and red, a satyr, that must have been Grover, and Percy's cyclops brother, Tyson. Beside him was Jason, who was also crying. Leo didn't begin crying until the eulogy, which was, of course spoken by Annabeth. She said things that everyone knew. Percy was a hero. He was a powerful demigod.

Xx_Paelyn _xX lol do you know how big Olympus would have to be. Zeus alone is in about 90% of family trees. Every myth is about how Zeus got some lady pregnant and there’s a PROPHECY. Zeus appears in Heracles’s family tree twice for crying out loud. Literally everyone is a child of Zeus.
Imagine if Percy had accepted immortality. That’s my biggest “what if”. What if Percy had accepted immortality? He wouldn’t have gone on the Heroes of Olympus quest. Maybe without him all of the other Heroes would have died.. and then there’s Annabeth. Would they still be together? She would have to die someday, but he would continue to live on.
I think Hades mentioned somewhere that he prepared a place for Nico in the underworld for when he died

I love Nico as a Character because it brings back in full force the reality of what these kids been through. He’s the living bane of depression, denial, guilt, and anxiety. He shows what can happen when your broken at such a young age and it will be hard to fix.

i want part 2 to be that Nico did it and he brought back Percy to Annabeth then Annabeth would be happy and both of them would continue there life together and Hades would forgive Nico make him go to Elysium and then he meets Bianca there and he will ask her why did she disappear when Death disappeared and she'll tell him that she took the opportunity and went searching for him and she didn't get reborn and when Death was freed she came back to Elysium and everybody will live happily ever after the end. :)

This video brings just too many memories back to me... I first watched it as a teenager who just met the world of fanfictions, and this one comic hit me hard. Plus the soundtrack, which I fell in love with instantly and made me eventually get to know of Inuyasha. After watching Inuyasha on a marathon, it made another train of memories full of tears and laughter. I mean... yeah, this really means so much to me.
