Great vid. And 100% agree the GK match rating system is totally broken. Even if you concede a goal no GK could realistically save your rating still drops to a 4 and you get subbed off at around the 60th minute. Tell me EA doesn't watch football without telling me EA doesn't watch football.

BRO MY TEAMMATE SVORED AN OWN GOAL AND I WENT 6.7 TO 5.6
Also, having no saves, and no goals scored against you, your max goal will be 5.6. i have done this alot but once i got blessed with 10 goals scored from my team getting me to a 6.3.
I conceded a penalty and from 8.6 I went to a 6.3
Yess, Im having the same problem. I made 3-4 saves in the first half and my rating didnt go up, it stuck at 7.3 and when second half started I couldnt make a save because my defender prerty good and yet my rating drop down to 6.4 in 70th min got subbed out. wtf

As top 10 rank goalkeeper leaderboards in FIFA 20-23 when you dive with the right stick, hold it until you make that save. You can flick but get crap animations, you're supposed to hold the right stick in the direction of the dive until the save is made. Another tip don't use L1 try learning without it as the L1 can actually put you in wrong positioning. If your new use L1 if your experienced never touch L1

Playing career mode as a keeper and it says I've not made diving save 3 times I'm constantly doing what the controls say to dive but doent count on the contract thing can anyone help and what about the save assist setting what is that supposed to be on

Anyone got a issue where the gk would make a save but can’t never catch the ball after diving and giving a easy rebound shot
I got a question: It happens sooooo often that I have a one on one situation and when the enemy shoots and I flick the right stick into that direction, the keeper doesnt do a thing. He just stands and lets the ball pass him while he just had to lift the arm to block that shot... why is that happening? What am I doing wrong?
sometimes if you flick the stick too early the goalkeeper just won't react

be a pro career has felt horrible for me so far. I am parrying it instead of catching a lot and the amount of times it goes back to the attacker or backwards to net is crazy. and no im not new to keepers. i came here hoping to find some crazy change they did that i missed but no. seems like its just a poor game again.

How do tou save long shots? Tried auto, semi and manuel, im best on manuel but long shots my keeper just stands there even when ive flicked or holding the right stick in the correct direcrion
Sometimes if you move to one direction with the left stick and flick with the right, the gk would stand there. Besides that, reaction and dives are the things that are beneficial to upgrade to save those typa shots
During normal matchplay on the PS5, how do I get the goalie to come out for a through ball? My goalie should come for the through ball, but he just stands on his line like a statue! 😂

I still don't understand these controls, you are supposed to use the right analog stick to make the covers, but when I use it, the goalkeeper makes the covers when he wants, sometimes he just stands still or other times he does. At first, I didn't even know that the right analog stick was the one used, I was using the triangle and the square to make saves. The goalkeeper did them well, but sometimes, he also stopped. (Pro clubs mode)
You have to wait for the ball to be shot if you flick or hold the right stick to early the keeper just shuffles

i started a career of GK of myself, i have on contract 1 five to get a better payroll (dive saves) i did that so many time but still current contract cant be finished help!
with contracts you have to wait until the end of the season

They still haven't fixed the subbing out I see.. why would they, correct me if I'm mistaken. But at 1:17 in the video we can see the "at risk of subbing out" prompt eventhough the match is LITERALLY 0:0. Great fucking job EA.

@@MaceX Considering you start at 4.0 rating yeah, definitely. Welp, definitely skipping this year, there doesn't seem to be much new stuff to goalkeeping anyway.

I also think that we need more goalkeeper training options. Three is not enough for me especially with the amount of outfield player ones. I also don't like how they give you those outfield player ones like the free kick, seeming as you are a goalkeeper and will never tak a free kick 😅

My gk doesn't jump. When I push the right stick, he just stand still
I haven't experienced that yet but it sounds like the statue animation glitch, It's been in the last few years of games
You could be pressing dive to early
@@MaceX sorry didn't see your reply before now. I miss the old system. When you just had to hold L1 I think it is. And then your gk would jump
@@Weebzy_ yeah maybe, but I don't know exactly when I should use it. Because in training mode. There's no problem at all. But playing matches is a total different story. Because he seems to not move when trying to use the dive stick

You can still be subbed off quite early if you have a low rating

Dude like I was a goalie and I got subbed in at 70 minutes because I didn’t save any goals but I didn’t concede any but it was because they never came to shoot in the goal

My keeper gets subbed with only 5 10 minutes before the end of the game nomally my keeper by then has a rating between 7 and 9 come on EA sort this out goalkeeper's should only be substituted if they are injured or they have been sent off not every bloody game

Goalkeeper is just broken. Not diving to make saves. Not rushing when pressing the button. Not being able to keep the ball when you actually make saves. It’s just shit
