Did You Know In HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER…

- The husbands of each of the main actresses have actually appeared on the show, and each time, it was as a spouse to another main character. Alyson Hannigan's husband Alexis Denisof plays Robin's coanchor Sandy Rivers; Cobie Smulders' husband Taran Killam plays Blauman, who might have a crush on Ted; and Neil Patrick Harris' husband David Burtka plays Lily's ex Scooter. Also, there have been five different books written that are related to the show, and Barney is officially the inventor of the Bro Code since the phrase didn’t exist on Google until 2008.

Did you really just include NPH as one of the “actresses”?
Wait his gay ?????????????????
Yuuuuuup
Lmao 😄
@@lordharu2122lol, now watch your entire life turn upside down. mine was when I found out.
@Gioacchino Sessa There ARE people in the world who exist at different ages than yourself, I know that might be hard to believe.
Easy fix: did you know that everyone's husband had a cameo?
Or just say actor which is preferred by women as well
My step dads not on this show, niether is my sisters husband. YOU LIE
@@phshgaming5281no, its not.
@@marinaschulz3183it is 😂 actor is someone who acts only women have two words
I now that. Because I spying for her live.
Did they just call Neil Patrick Harris a female lead?
no they called him gay (he is)
@@truedarklander they said actresses which specifically refers to females that act
@@buyerenogurlfwendo2106 Niel Patrick Harris is a male actress. Get over yourself.
@Buyereno GurlFwendo let's be honest.... there's no difference between gays and women
@@austinhall3937 idk man I can think of a few dozen big differences.
Although they are alike in that neither are interested in you.
Ahh yes my favorite actress, Neil Patrick Harris.
nph is gay
@@LakBhatnagar-dn8mj okay...? I mean he has a husband, it's mentioned in this video😅 but thank you for investing your time to inform us!
No, Barney did not invent The Bro Code. Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. True story. History teachers these days are really failing at educating today's youth 😔
Underrated.
It was actually Julius Caesar, shall I quoth "et tu Brote?"
Barney didn't invent the "bro code" he just exposed it....
Yeah, "not existing on Google" isn't an indicator.
Yes he didn’t invent the word “bro code” but he made it a book which made him the Jesus of the “bro code”
This comment made me spit out my drink. It turned even funnier when I realized that, being a gay man, people would actually go crazy over calling NPH the Jesus of anything 😂😂 @@djsojuicy
They don't know how to use the words "actress" or "spouse" correctly
I was like, um spouse? There’s not enough weddings in the show for that 😂
Looks like English isnt their first language and thsley used Google translate
Oh no. Absolute blasphemy. The "bro code" was being used when I was in high school in 2004-2007 and consisted of one rule; bros before hoes. Just because Google was late to the party doesn't mean he invented it.
there's a whole book on it lol, with 150 articles !!
@@shiveshtuli9830 The one that was released in 2008? Well, guess who wrote that?
That’s not a bro code. That’s just common sense. It’s all the other stuff added to your “bro code” that makes it the true bro code. Real bros know Barney invented the bro code
@@dashdobar2345 “real bros know that” pls never say that again. I think I threw up in my mouth
Yeah, bro code was like the golden rule, it was in the ether. Bro code was "bros before hoes". The show picked up on it and expanded on it to flash out the Barney character. The show does this a lot with this kind of cultural reference as does most sitcoms. They did the same with the golden rule, remixing it into the platinum rule
"all of the main actors who had husbands, had them on the show" there ya go pal
"All of the spouses (or husbands) of the main cast" flows better
@@Tacobell1384or just “three of the main actors’ spouses appeared on the show”, even “three of the main cast members’ spouses appeared on the show” gets the point across. “three of the ensemble cast members’ husbands” if they insist on using husbands
like damn specifying actresses was soooo unnecessary lol
Just say actors ? That's the easiest
@@hsd287 ehh "all of the actors had their husbands on the show" feels clunky too
The bro code is genius, so is the playbook.... whomever wrote Barneys character deserves awards...
Give the script writer some credit.
Oh, well if something was not on Google until 2008 it can't possibly have existed prior to that 🙄
he even said it was written by the forefathers😂
I mean Google makes everything mainstream so...
It's kind of crazy that they made the gay guy a woman finneser
They didn't, harold and kumar did
This is called acting.... You know, pretending to be someone else, someone's job
@@Just_a-guy Yeah I know it's just the Directors chose him instead of somebody else
@@theshadowking9626 well, NPH auditioned. If he didn't want to do it he could say no. Clearly he wanted to, and clearly he does the role good.
I believe he was cast before he was out. He's also a fantastic actor.
I forgot he was gay ☠️☠️☠️
Same, he's too much of a lady killer in screen
I just let out the loudest ass gasp ever dawg☠️
He’s definitely not the inventor of bro code. That’s pre-internet. He’s just the asshole that violated it by making it public. First rule.
Not just that. One of Ted's ex-girlfriend, Jeanette, is actually the daughter of the actor who plays Lilly's father, Mickey.
Oh really? That's cool I just checked, their eyes look definitely very similar and they both played a bit of out of the ordinary characters too
The writer of Barney’s lines is the inventor of the “Bro Code”
Holy crap, just hearing that NPH is married to Scooter.
I'm sorry I've been using the bro code since I was 15 and that was 95.
Bro code was definitely a thing long before TV was popular
Anybody who's ever had to tell a bros gf "I didn't see anything" knows the bro code started with Cain and Abel. Abel broke the code.
Wait...Willow married Wesley?
I came here for this comment!!
Bro code was used donkey yonks ago 🤝
Nice of them to have Neils husband on the show that's sweet ❤
Barney certainly didn’t invent the bro code. That’s been around longer than TV has been popular.
No, no it hasn't
@@pineapplesarepeopletoo5587 yes, yes it has. The bro code was common in the late 80s early 90s
but like we know this but we don’t care who invented the word when a book you wrote comes out I’ll check it out 😂
Nono guys dont worry they just mean that NPH is a kween
How could it not be on Google, I used to say that in high school before that show started
Brocode still used to this day, hahaha
Robin is soo attractive ❤
Did they show Cobie's husband?
The bro code
"If we're not pissing people off, are we doing anything right?"
Proceeds to piss everyone off
Pretty sure the bro code existed. Just because it wasn't on Google, doesn't mean it didn't exist.
Not the books just the word so 😂
Coanchor is now a spouse Unrequited Lover is now a spouse
Hahaha, did he just call NPH an actress? 😂😂
Barney just made the bro code into it’s physical form it has existed since the first brothers
There was a show on MTV pre 2008 called Bro Code
I remember everyone in my high school using the term "Bro Code" in 2002 soo.....
Rip Howard
Holy mother of god could you possible have made the background audio any more chaotic?!
Bro code was used way before that
Bro code has always existed, maybe not on google but it has always existed
Oh wow! Didn't know that about Mr. Smulders. He's a great actor though
Why not just say actors for all of them, especially because NPH was included too?
The term "Suit up" also didn't exist as it does now until this show.
Bro code has been around since at least the late 80s
Dude, Joey said "bro code" in Friends since the 90s
According to that channel it doesn't exist because it was before google.......... 🤣
So NPH is an actress?
Hes gay
Jesus invented the bro code.
Omg underrated comment 😂
I can't wait for Cobie Smulders to get a divorce, so I can slide in there and marry her myself!! She the most beautiful woman on earth!
if someone has just watched HIMYM and got told that NPH was actually gay irl, they'd be so shocked. I know I was when I found out he was gay irl
The bro code is as old as time
How's Terram Killam Josh Radnor? 🤔
Actually, David Burtka wasn’t Neil’s husband at the time. They actually met on the set of HIMYM :)
I’m sure it was a mistake but NPH is not an actress. At least i HOPE it was a mistake lol
It almost certainly was. The larger number of female examples in the list likely led to an oversight on NPH’s description
Why not? Wouldnt confuse you if they refered to the girls as actors
Hold up. Neil is gay? 😅 Yet bro bagged all the girls in the show
He plays for the actress team
Bro code existed in the 90s, and maybe before that. Just because it didn't appear on google before then doesn't mean it didn't exist smh
Brocode exist since Broman time
How you gonna refer to ole boy as an actress 😭😭
Bro the bro code was always a thing, we just kept it to ourselves and everyone knew it. There's no point in looking it up. We were all using it in the 90s
Imma need names of the books asap
Boku no pico
people were saying bro code in the 90s…
Five different books written for the show 🤔
I have the bro code book
If you’re gonna put spouses in a movie or TV show they should be together or both alone
"Husband"
Bro code was used way b4 that... foul on the play.
NPH did not “invent” the bro code, the reason it wasn’t on Google yet was because it was below radar and not widespread, it was just the bro code. Like code red in a few good men.
Wait what? NPHs husband is scooter? How did i not know that?
Bro really called NPH a woman
Yep
Taram Killam actually plays two different characters, one in the early seasons and another in the last season
He was Blaughman both times, theyre just inconsistent because he used to work with Barney and then they gave him a different backstory in the last season.
Not as a spouse of another character. The characters never married each other. They were simply boyfriends of the characters for a short while.
So Neil Patrick Harris is a wife. Funny
Really Willow married the British watcher
Just really not gonna show a picture of Taran Killam?
I like the comments more than the short.
Oh yeah I forgot. Men can have husband's
Ross from Friends mentioned the guy code in 1998 in season 5 of Friends so if anything Friends invented it
She married the guy that was in Buffy well I didn't know that
Can you believe it , Barney, the greatest womanizer is gay in real life 😂
They made Barney date so many girls that he lost interest in them.
Bro code is just “guy code” which has been around longer than man
Wait, Willow is married to Wesley Wyndam-Pryce!?!
Brocode is from the 90's. Dont be dumb
Noooo nooo nooo.. Joey was the inventor of the bro code
Inventor of bro code? Hahaha bish please thats been around before me. im a 70's baby.
“Did you know Barney was gaaaaaay?”
Barney married Scooter
Nice
The bro code existed long before 2008. Just because Google didn't index it since 2008 doesn't mean shit.
Does someone know the books? :(
Umm actually the Bro Code was written in ancient BRoman Times! Remember the high V?
would have never guessed barney was gay in real life.
man I always forget the main Chad hyper masculine beast that is barney is played by a gay dude I bed that makes for interesting fan meetings
I didn't even know Neil Patrick Harris was gay
Robin was so hot
Bro you can use the word "partner" ffs
the bro code definately existed before 2008 wtf. We said that shit in high school in the 90s.
The bro code was actually invented by the ancient BROmans😉 true story
It's not like the term "bro code" didn't exist before the show 🙄
So they were all a spouse of someone else... Except that they weren't because you didn't mention who they were married to.
