National Youth Theatre Audition Experience (Birmingham 2016)

- Here I break off from talking about Drama Schools...and talk about the next best thing...the National Youth Theatre. Here I recount how the 3 hour physical workshop and the individual audition went at the MAC arts centre in Birmingham on the 17th February 2016.
I heavily recommend NYT to anyone considering it. Here I have not edited any jump-cuts etc as I wanted it to feel like an insightful, intimate discussion.

I'm in NYT, all i can say is keep auditioning, its an awesome company to be a part of seriously! Also take a look at the website and consider half term workshops and anything they have to offer for non-members. I did a performing Shakespeare workshop this year in February and non-members and members can attend them :) it was awesome, keep auditioning for it

Ha ha. NYT told me I'd get my result by easter weekend...apparently they always take longer than they say though.
Yeh I imagine we will get them in the next couple of weeks!

Hi, thanks for making this video, it was really helpful :) I just wanted to ask you something as I'm thinking of auditioning for the NYT next year however because I look really young for my age I'm thinking of possibly saying that I'm younger than I am, just because a part of me would feel more comfortable if everyone else thought I was younger (especially as some people are as young as 14 when they audition). Basically next year I will be 23 but right now most people think I'm between 16-18 so I just wanted to ask do you think that I should lie about my age if you think it will benefit me at all or do you think that I should not bother and just tell people my real age if they ask? I know it sounds really stupid but sometimes looking younger than your age can be really annoying and I don't want that to affect whether I do well or not both on the audition day and in everyday life as well, if you get me haha.

just did my audition a couple days ago, i loved it, wasn’t redirected so idk how to take that but it was an amazing experience ahah! great video and i’ve restarted my drama channel if you wanna check it outttt :))
