“Hip hop” media in general ruined this battle. The collectively thought Kendrick would drag Drake and now that he’s not, they don’t care now. Or it’s corny.

Here's the thing; Drake is right about one thing. People make excuses for Kendrick because they hate to see Drake win.
But now that Kendrick is a ghost, no one cares anymore. When they dropped "Like that", EVERYONE was like oh, kendrick said "F the big 3, it's just be me" (that poetry though)...wow, long live Kendrick and his pen game. But now that's he's been ducking for a month, it's oh, I'm bored.
Here's the thing. I predicted this. Kendrick is not a battle rapper. Kendrick is an artist. He takes forever to craft his albums. He's not the type to release quickly. Drake is the rebirth of Jay-Z. He fights all the time. Subliminals, shots, all that stuff all the time. He releases often because he wants to own the summers. He might not offer the type of quality projects (5 mics) that Kendrick offers, but he drops consistently quality projects (4.5 mics). It takes more to dominate the game for 10 years with 10 projects than with 4 projects. Again, Nas had better projects (Illmatic changed rap - Nas is a Goat). But Jay-Z consistently dominated hip hop. There's a difference between recognition and dominance.
Win or Lose, Drake will always compete and show up for a battle. And trust, he WANTS this battle with Kendrick. Since Control, HE WANTS this battle. Kendrick is amazing, but I don't believe he wants this battle. People are hyping him too much like the Savior of hip hop. He can only disappoint. Drake is seen like the clown. People even had the nerve a few weeks ago to say Drake isn't hip hop. Imagine how stupid that sounds today. Drake is clearly dominating the game lol. They need to team up to get him off the paint.
Lastly, if Kendrick puts this diss record on this album, he lost for me.
What that will mean is that he did it all for sales. I have no respect for it. Bro, at this point, get a Drake feature.
