(2004) When Rita suspects pregnancy, Courtney panics and gets a second job to afford a ring to propose; Nasim and Jadwiga hope to win Connecticut's Powerball contest.
This show is smart, honest and hilarious. I hate that I can’t watch more of it. We need more good tv like this. There’s plenty of material for the writers to play with in today’s world.
"If Bush makes a Supreme Court appointment you could kiss choice goodbye" I miss when THAT guy was the benchmark for a horrible republican president 🥴🤣
I'm always confused when someone says or writes "Trying Too Hard"... Once I was told I was "Trying Too Hard" and this was from a customer at work ( I worked at a pretty hip, and popular restaurant). At that moment he decided to tell me this while "showing out" for his Mistress ( Not His Wife). It seems Me being Me ( Hehehe), and being a waiter/host, at that time; being friendly, and personable was something he felt, I was taking to a new level. The sad part for that moment was he decided to " tell me about myself", on a busy night, and that night him and "his boo thang", didn't get their food until all the other folks who didn't mind me " trying too hard"!!! It wasn't intentional, yet I wasn't even his server at the time and he was a regular. I had little to any interaction, except the occasional "hello"... He always seemed like he didn't want anything to do with Me, which was his right. I just wasn't his "Cup Of Tea", yet I worked there for years (6+) and kinda popular, with no complaints. He even threw in : "I'm Way Too Friendly", and was trying to tell Me to "Simmer Down". By the end of that night and everyone around him and his gal got Five Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Service ( Trust & Believe), and they nada, he might have thought differently about his approach!!!
@curtistisdale8150 I meant it in that, you had the wigga who was with the uptight blk guy, then you had the Muslim you was a loud stereotype that was racist towards Chinese ppl, Whoopi was an ex disco diva (a perfect opportunity for a sister act tie in that they missed) They were trying to be PC and woke at the same time but didn't have the proper writers 😕
@@Jae-pe2xh Yet, Whoopi's comedic timing has always relied on folks around her and the fact she had a one woman show on Broadway that earned her praise and awards. Think about Sister Act and how it is still a big deal because of the diversity. Whoopi would be the 1st to tell You, she was on public assistance and most of the characters she created while on Broadway were people she came across. She lived in San Francisco for awhile, and ended up in New York, a single mother, who just happen to date men of all nationalities. I remember her dating Ted Danson, and that ruffled a few people's feathers in The Land and Business of Show. Whoopi has been an advocate for The Underdog from the beginning. Come on, Comic Relief was to help homelessness in America. You narrowed down all the characters on the show but those were real people. Racism, sexism, and even gender equality to list a few, were things Whoopi never shied away from in her professional and personal life. Why wouldn't this show have a bit of realness.
@curtistisdale8150 did not need the history lesson on Whoopi, I've been a fan for years. Ppl questioned her dating Ted not because he was white, but he did her roast in black face, and she defended him doing it. The "realness" in the show was not the problem. The poor execution was.
@ 13:45 she said "this definitely didn't come from the Kobe Bryant Apology Collection" lolol 🤦🤦🤦 crazy joke. I remember watching this show when it was airing as a preteen back in like 2003 lol
I think certain people are angry because this show was a lot funnier than alot of these CORNEY EDOMITE sitcoms that you would watch just to pass the night away
I never even heard of this I don't even know what is the name of this I just seen Whoopi and I decided to watch the video but I didn't know she had a show
I love this show! Discovered it by accident and I can't stop watching. But I'm sad because I know the episodes will end 😢
Same!! I said Whoopi?? Hold on now! 😂 couldn’t click fast enough! Wish there were more!!
@@Mynameistyshawn too bad it didn't even get a season 2! It's so good
same
20 years and right back to these conversations. Way to go America, that's progress.

Always love her and always will…Whoopi rocks, always
Wait, how did i miss this show?
I also just discovered it by accident and l Love it.
Still feeling the same joyful feeling watching this show and how laughter helps me to push aside my sometimes not so happy life duties.
I remember this show it came on in 2003. It was actually pretty good!
2003? Whoop looks the same today!
She didn't age much
Is there more than 1 season??
Whoopi has had a prolific and incredible career! She is a Living Legend! ❤
This was such an underrated show. It had its issues with "trying" too hard, " but I felt it would have found its voice 2nd season

I totally agree with you!
God, they didn't know how right they would be about our bodies and politics
💯
This show was hilarious
This show was great cant believe it got cancelled.
I love this show so much. Me and my Mom used to watch it all the time.
This was one of my favorite shows. I wish it had had more than one season
This was a good show . Loving it
Im impressed how many people didnt get to whatch this when it was a thing
Some pudding got out of the Tupperware and Get that thing away from my drink. Perfect.
I remember this show and the episode that got the show canceled. Whoopi is one of The "Originals" to be canceled before the term was ever used
Didnt know she had her own sitcom show
Loved this show
This just randomly popped up for me. LOL
Why are there muted/edited/censored parts in this episode, like "man pudding" and "sand devil"?
This show aired at night but the reruns were played during the daytime where certain words were deemed "inappropriate" for a daytime audience lol
Mary Testa rocks!!!!
Love the show
I love this show ❤
Great love it
13:00 I am someone’s prize 🏆 period 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

What is the name of this show?
Whoopi
I used to love this show. The episode where her gay sister gets married was the best.
Well same issues today in 2024 shows this is all BS
👑🔥👏🏾🖤💜🧡❤✌🏾
😂😂😂

I’m sorry but Whoopi was over acting in some scenes
Usually happens in sitcoms
First Seasons are always rocky at first. Usually a second season fixes issues and expands on the good stuff
Loved this show!
Why Whoopi never got he eyebrows done??? 🤔🤔🤔
How would she look tho 😂
She shaves them on purpose. If you look at pictures or movies she is in, there are no eyebrows. She talked about it several times in interviews.
People like this are the reason why people are the way they are. Goofy
Courtney is shooting craps
Say it GIRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLL. No 9nes Obligation 💎You're tge PRIZE
I had no idea this existed. And yet. My life has not changed whatsoever.
