As a lifelong Sooner fan, I can tell you Lincoln Riley is arrogant. Players and their families see that. Riley won a lot of his games after Bob Stoops left him a stocked locker room when he retired. He consistently lost more games year after year because he couldn't recruit elite defensive talent.
Brent Venables is building a defensive jugernaut at Oklahoma. OU is kicking his ass in recruiting. Case and point, FLoyd Boucard just committed to OU today over USC.
bOUcard chose OU over Miami too, in their back yard.
SC doesn't have the same defensive staff. Defense is going to make great strides this year. You OU fans never get over yourselves.
I coached JUCO at Palomar College and recruited Miami NW and Miami Central back in 07-09. Had a lot of dawgs and some NFL kids who committed to me and made alot of plays. I love FL football kids from Dade, they built different. Coach JB right, Cali D1s in trouble because NIL is bigger and better elsewhere because states like Alabama look at football as a religion. They all in....Shout out to Coach JB for helping keep JUCO football in the eyes of the public. Coach JB got this show cookin to...hope you getting your bread from this channel.
Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to enjoy the annual sunshine and beautiful beaches of SoCal..
Guys.. I am not trying to be disrespectful or a smart a$&, but OU went through the same things with Lincoln Riley. He would not recruit in state talent and alienated the high school coaches. It took the last 3 years after he left to get in state players to give OU a look during recruiting. His first 2 years as OU head coach the players were recruited by Bob stoops. USC has a long and rich history of college football tradition and I hate to see this happening to you folks. Not all coordinators are successful head coaches. Is he one of the best offensive coordinators…yes… is he one of the best head coaches in college football… at this point in time I would say… No.. don’t know how it will go for USC this season, but I wish you the best……Boomer Sooner

I was listening to these guys and thinking it all sounds so familiar. Riley alienating people, can't even recruit in state, losing close recruiting battles and just getting out done. I'm sorry, not sorry, but SC fan getting exactly what they deserve as far as I'm concerned. They were as cocky and arrogant as Riley when they "stole" our coach away because they all that. Now, they wanna cry foul if you remind them and bring receipts. BOOMER!
@@robbyclark6915I hear what you are saying, but let me give you some food for thought… from what we know about him, we know he is not a honorable man. What if he wanted out so bad because of the move to the SEC. Maybe he or his agent approached the USC athletic director and feed him a line of BS including promising to get Caleb to transfer. If you look at what was going on at USC at the time this would have looked like somebody throwing a drowning man a lifesaver from the USC athletics director point of view..just saying

As someone with minor knowledge on Lincoln’s time in Oklahoma, I can tell you he did the same thing to HS coaches in Oklahoma and Texas which caused recruiting at Oklahoma to suffer big time under his tenure. I can admit Oklahoma was heart broken when he left, but now we’re honestly relieved he’s gone. Recruiting has massively improved and things to be on the up and up since he’s left. People have to really respect what Brent has done for Oklahoma. I get year one wasn’t great but that wasn’t on him. It was on the previous coaching staff who left him with zero talent on defense and took the one good piece they had (Caleb Williams) with him to usc.
We in Ok are SO happy USC took him off of our hands

Riley will look like a genius this year due to him finally getting the type of defensive coaches that he’s never had. Coach Entz will be one of the most desirable prospective hires in 2 years and then hopefully Riley will bounce and let Entz do his thing.

California's moved here to Arizona as soon as the heat starts they all move back with their parents. Young people can't afford to live in California. Lincoln Riley proved at OU that he is defensively deficient. USC is a sleeping giant, but Riley is only an offensive savant…lots of points and highlights, but no championships.

Recruiting has completely changed. The NCAA is keeping it in kaos purposely so they can try to regain their monopoly on power and money. USC finally has a professional AD. As long as the school president is on board they'll return to premier status. No one is going to want to play them this year.
