I've loved you since East Side Story & never wavered!! Saw you once & plan on seeing you again for this tour. I recently went through a heartache/bad breakup & have been holding off on this new project in its entirety for fear of being faced with the pain. But I'm listening as I type this. Thank you for being vulnerable in this interview. This was the reminder i needed that it's ok to mourn an old life, what was, etc., but you can stay find joy & rejouce in what's ahead. Thank you for always making such amazing music. You have no idea how your music has helped me over the years. Sending you so much love & I can't wait to see you on tour again!! there’s something about her entire presence that makes me feel safe and filled with joy. i just saw her live recently and it was one of my favorite concerts ever. every second of every single one of her songs is so artfully written. i was so surprised when i knew the lyrics to all her songs because that never happens. usually there’s a few i don’t like, but that’s not true with emily.

O my God, wasn't expecting this! This interview broke my heart. I love Emily. I had no idea they broke up! Em's my baby and Jermey I have always admired and have been inspired by.
Making the kind of music she makes, when u hear her songs it didn't take seeing the tears or expressing the heartbreak of her seperattion to know already that there was great vulnerability just below the surface of the outward strength she shows and, all that easy laughter she gives.
