- Sri M - "Matangi is the Mahavidya who is often referred to as the outcast Goddess. She is seated on a corpse. Her clothes and all her ornaments are red. She is sixteen years old and she holds a skull and a sword in her two hands. She should be offered ‘Uchishta’ - leftovers. She is worshipped by Gods and demons...."
