I've seen several hermits get confused by the layout of your quartz shop. They've checked the first couple of boxes they see and then mentioned it's weird that you didn't sell raw quarts before leaving. You have the mod on that shows you where the boxes are and what's in them, but for everyone else, having no visible indicators for where the boxes are or what's in each one is really confusing especially when it's just a bunch of white boxes scattered in a white room.

Who has been confused? Gem complained about the lack of smooth quartz, which is fair, but everyone I've watched has used the shop just fine.

It might help to useful to use light gray shulker boxes but they'll figure it out either way

No idea why people would have left negative comments on this video, it was so fun, a good balance of the grind and shenanigans. I figured when you first started work on the cyberpunk city and said it would eventually be some kind of game, that you were modeling it after something in MCC, so if that's what people were pissed about, they clearly do not know you very well. I think MCC style games in Hermitcraft would be really fun and I can't wait to see it all come together. Keep your chin up Impulse, you're doing great and can't wait to see Team Ties in MCC next week!!!!

You should mail random things, like send a bowl of soup to Pearl. Also could place an order with Cleo through the mail. Etho originally sent Scar some spam mail from a "Canadian Prince", some kind of spam like that might be funny. Also Iskall has been sending Joel a ton of notes while he is out of the country so his mailbox fills up
Iskall buying an entire stack of Joel Stamos was very funny.

I live for the way that the entire server is mostly chill people who react with "oh my gosh" when something surprising happens, except for maybe xisuma with his harsh-sounding "OOAH", but Skizz reacts with "HEY! 😡😡 JERK! 🤬 How ya doin buddy 😇"
I don't ever use emojis but they fit here. The way he gets mad for like, three to five seconds and then goes super chill is hilarious.

BUNDLES! They are best used for containing lots of different low-quantity items (such as stamps) and freeing up inventory space.

You guys might have already thought about this but backstreets that are very tight/small behind and between buildings will give a really good vibe when hermits traverse the city. Looking forward seeing the city grow!
a few years back I saw a vid where someone showed a small shrine located somewhere in japan, between the back of some buildings down a very skinny gap. That could be a nice kinda easter egg type thing to find.
I saw that "campaign against productivity" in Skizzle's VOD and was hoping someone else had been recording the rest of the group's reactions to his abrupt exit. Glad to see Impy was, that was even funnier than what I had imagined!

When did slashes become the indicator for action? I've always used asterisks, but I've been seeing a lot of people use slashes recently. I just think it's an interesting shift.

One suggestion for things to send via mail: Send out advertisements about the cyberpunk city, maybe hints for various puzzles if there will be any. Maybe one off tickets or something. Like Cleo is doing, free advertising.
These games sound genuinely so cool! Game making is basically the epitome of what I love about Minecraft. Minecraft is supposed to be a creation space that fuels more creativeness and that's exactly what you're doing.
maybe a good idea for using the stamps is introducing a mail order quartz service? say one of the hermits needs some quartz, but aren't going to be on for a couple days. they can pay a premium, and you send the quartz via the mail system

I’ve been following you since HC7 (though didn’t sub until later) and have always been very impressed by your builds and your colour schemes.

Am I the only one who kept rewatching the tango trying to read skizz sign bit and the others reactions, that was amazing that I actually managed to giggle in the first time in over a year (vocal chord issues so unable to talk properly) so thank you for that experience again, I will go rewatch it another 20 or 50 times now! Love your videos Impulse (who says he is not a builder but has made some amazing creations)
The city games sound like a great idea! It really reminds me of the tv series Alice in Borderland, which is kind of horror I think? It's about a group of people who are stuck in a city and in order to live they have to complete a variety of deadly mini games throughout.
Season of silliness = best season EVER!

I swear the hermits think more about accessibility in Minecraft than people do in real life. Genuinely though, as a disabled person it means a lot to see people thinking about that and creating a world that I can see myself being a part of too.
Right! It made me chuckle when he added a lift since hardly any undergrounds are accessible irl
mail some hermits invites to design one room or part of the cyber city, Tango did that with DO2 and those rooms came out great and helped him not get overwhelmed.
He could also do more billboards for other hermits to decorate. Bdubs put up a billboard, but there’s usually lots and lots of advertising crowding the sky in many cyber cities.
Think giga corp, big wood/salmon billboards for example.
Hey Impy (and maybe BDubs too), I just wanted you to know that I am really excited for your base this season! I just finished watching Skizz's Vod of practicing for MCC and it was so fun to see him, Tango, and Etho learn the games and have fun! I think this build of yours that will challenge the Hermits in different ways will be so fun to watch!

From my own experience, I've found it's easier to get enough masons so the first one will restock by the time you've traded all the way around. Zombify them and just trade one stone for one emerald as you go whenever you need more emeralds.

This was a more goofy style, but I liked it.
Having more interactions with other hermits is always fun.
I can visualise the ace race so perfectly in a delapidated dystopia. Spooky dark subway tunnels.
Lights flickering on and off.
Running through a stalled or derailed train with malfunctioning doors. Tridenting through cracks in the walls out of a flooded floor. Parkouring and ducking under collapsed beams, elytraing over a sinkhole that revealed something crazy like a lush cave or a desolate magma area. More jumping over fallen grates and catwalks in maintenance tunnels. Traversing big pipes. Avoiding cycling hydraulic doors. Maybe blown steam valves, Slime launchers to either hinder progress or jump to make progress. Block switchers for soul sand on the ground. A section that's Lore rich like breaking into a secret hi tech bunker or some mystical ancient city with an underground night sky. Maybe via a station platform exit.
Idk there's so much you can do with this idea I can't wait to see it

9:10 the only boxes you need to check are the ones that don't show any quartz item on them since they have multiple items, ie. diamonds and quartz, and the ones that show diamonds, the rest are fine.

Love the idea of a race through a subway tunnel. Could do a dark scary section with Wardens or just silverfish and endermites! Also those smooth stone slabs you used in the station make great "subway tile", love it!

Love the concept and can’t wait to see how this comes together. The elevator doors made me wonder if there could be a surprise behind them later… like have to slide down sticky walls if a broke down elevator shaft, avoid cob webs and obstructions and maybe water bucket clutch as a short cut to an underground passage to another area of the city. Maybe the doors can only be opened by first finding a key (button, level, other)

De-lurking to say I'm really enjoying this season of Hermitcraft, and it seems as though many of the hermits are too. I really enjoyed this episode, and I can't wait to see these plans you and Bdubs have made come to life! I think cyberpunk city is going to have a unique vibe to it, and it's very exciting.
Tip for findind diamonds in your shop: the shulker mod will display an item if its the only item type in the box, otherwise it shows the name. So any shulker with a diamond or text has diamonds, while the ones displaying blocks or quartz are only blocks or quartz.
I can't wait to see all the fun games in the cyberpunk city! It's going to be awesome. And Ace race! I love seeing how people adapt to Ace Race over time and with new maps and mechanics- There is so much potential! Excited to see your take on it! :D
