Lecture at Islamic Cultural Centre, Regents Park Mosque, London, U.K., on 9th August 1988.
Sheikh Ahmed Deedat:
In 1986, the King Faisal Foundation awarded the King Faisal International Prize for SERVICE TO ISLAM, to a South African who is more or better known than many dignitaries in their own countries. This was the first time that this prestigious award has been awarded to a South African. The recipient of this award was a man totally dedicated to his faith and its propagation and who was not afraid to challenge any one to a debate to settle once and for all the matter, who has the good news right? He was none other than Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, reverently known and called UNCLE by those who hold him in high esteem and admiration.
The award came after a lifetime of struggle to propagate Islam and to defend Islam against the onslaught of the missionaries. Finally, he was given recognition by the international Muslim community that he deserved and focused more sharply the attention of the Muslim world on the most important aspect of his work, the challenge to propagate Islam. This was his life long ambition to focus the Muslim world's attention and resources on the propagation of Islam, and at last he succeeded. What a moment of jubilation, achievement and personal gratification for Sheikh Deedat the award was, a turning point in his life.
Sheikh Deedat did not have much formal schooling, but he was self-taught through experience and a penchant for reading, debating, discussion, and a profound sense of commitment to a mission and goal. He was driven and goal oriented. He was focused and never let up until the job was done. He was sharp, perceptive, forthright, fiery, and daring in his challenge of those whom he debated, particularly against those who equal his missionary zeal and sense of audacity. Formal schooling did not destroy his creative prowess, his tenacity, ambition, drive, and sheer daring to swim upstream.
Sheikh Deedat was more a scholar of the Bible than the Qur'an, and was more familiar and adroit with its teachings. He had an insight and perspective of the Bible which made many Christians he came into contact with rethink and re-examine their faith, particularly those aspects of the Bible and the Qur'an that deal with the divine mission and life of Prophet Jesus.
On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. He was flown to a hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements. He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in da'wah. He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world. During these years, rumors spread throughout the Internet that he was already dead, and even some websites that contained his pamphlets mentioned as early as 2002 that he was dead.
On August 8, 2005, Ahmed Deedat finally succumbed to his prolonged illness and died at his home in Trevennen Road, Verulam in the province of KwaZulu Natal.

JESUS has accepted me even prayed to His Father for me -a gentile .Did he pray for you ? You don't believe He is the Son of GOD and as such he did not pray for you . .

I am very happy as a Muslim that u have read holy Quran..since the first verse of holy Quran was revealed as “ read” (sura 96;1).. but dear I am not finding any problem with the verse of Quran u mentioned…
in this verse Allah says.. so if you (o Mohammad) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you [ that about you written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) ] then ask those who are reading the book [Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)} before you. verily, the truth has come to you from your Load. It’s a very nice verse of Quran.. where Allah wants to clarify the consistency of Torah, Gospel and Quran.. Allah is making comfort and giving assurance to Mohammad (PBUH) that Allah has not revealed something new to Mohammad (PBHU).. before We also revealed the same thing to Moses(PBHU) and Jesus (PBHU), moreover the prophecy of coming Mohammad (PBUH) was written in Torah and Gospel.. in this Verse Allah is proving the truthfulness of Quran and Mohammad (PBUH) according to Torah and Gospel.. since all came from the same source.

Islam existed the moment man set foot on this earth all the prophets from Adam all the way down to Jesus to Prophet Muhammad they are all Muslims. The only religion accepted by God Islam which mean one that find peace by submitting his will to God and all these prophets submitted their will to God. The Quran is the true word of God is not copied in fact it's the same message that precious prophets were preaching. Let's not forget the fact that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was an illiterate man he doesn't know how to write or read. So he can't write the Quran in the first place nor copied it..

U mistaken again. 93% of the Bible is sourced from Corne Greek scripture physically dated 9th century AD, while less than 7% is souced from scripture written approximately 3 AD. So the Quran pre-dates 93% of the Bible by 200 years. Further, the Prophet SAW cud not read/write. So it is impossible that he got any info from the Bible for the reasons mentioned above!

Why did YHUH call him GOD? “Thy Throne, O GOD...” (Psalm 45:16, Heb 1:8)? BECAUSE HE WAS YHUH HIMSELF IN THE FLESH! This leads to contradiction as to WHO IS THE CREATOR (NOT CREATORS!). UNDER THE ONENESS DOCTRINE, THE SON EXISTED AS THE WORD OF GOD, SO HE WAS THE CREATOR. So, did God The Father lie when He said "MY NAME AND MY GLORY, I WILL NOT SHARE WITH ANOTHER"? (Isaiah 42:8, 48:11), (John 17:5). NO, NO, NEVER! BECAUSE JESUS WAS GOD THE FATHER HIMSELF (YHUH) IN THE FLESH! In that day it shall be- “THE LORD IS ONE, AND HIS NAME ONE" Zech14:9. So, what did Jesus mean when He said in John 10:30 “I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE”? SURELY, HE MEANT THAT HE IS GOD THE FATHER IN THE FLESH (Isaiah 9:6 “EVERLASTING FATHER”). The Jews tried to stone Him for this very reason: “You, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming-deity. So, do you now understand what Jesus meant when He said in John 14:9 “HE WHO HAS SEEN ME HAS SEEN THE FATHER”? Rev 21:6, 7 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I WILL BE HIS GOD, and he shall be my son”. Does this not make Jesus our Heavenly Father? In Revelation, an angel instructed the apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11; 14:33; 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation did. If Jesus is not God, then He sinned in allowing others to worship Him. There is only ONE entity in the entire universe who can FORGIVE SIN. That is God. Jesus told the woman who was caught in the act of adultery, "Go and sin no more, YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN". John 8:28 “WHEN YE HAVE LIFTED UP the Son of man (when you have unveiled ME), then shall ye know that I AM HE (then you will realise that I AM GOD THE FATHER- YHUH IN THE FLESH)”. There are many other passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity.
