Kurt would have loved this, the Melvins were his heroes, and more importantly his friends. When two bands are friends they cover each other songs all the time, this is totally normal!
David Yow is doing a generous cover of their song using HIS OWN style. That does not mean any of them are making fun of the song at all. David and Buzz were both huge fans of Kurt and his music
Not true at all. Jury was a huge fan of Scratch Acid and The Jesus Lizard. David in no way reciprocated those feelings adulation. The Jesus Lizard opened for Nirvana on one of their last tours and just talked about how much a bummer it was. Mudhoney said the same thing and neither Mark Arm nor David Yow has ever said they were fans of Nirvana’s music. I sure they dug Kurt as a person, at least Mark did, but that’s probably about it.
