I was jealous you got an early copy so I didn’t watch when this went out. Now it’s June 3rd and I can allow myself to watch. Really enjoyed your editing in the demo video and learned quite a bit.
oh ya, basically the way it works is if there is a mushroom patch behind your wall when you build it, the mushroom patch will automatically get "destroyed" and leave the mushrooms on the ground to pick up. It doesn't do that with scrap though. You still have to collect all those the usual way. Later on in the game though, you can eventually build a drone platform that sends drones out to collect scrap for you automatically.

I'm still not sure about this game. It does not have them save charm and simplicity as Kingdom. With multiple currencies(scrap, food, research) and no real weapons but your character's rifle, it just seems to miss the mark for me. I will keep watching your videos to see if I am wrong.
Oh there's plenty more weapons later on. You can recruit Snipers, Stalkers ( machine guns), sentry turrets, mines, molotov cocktails, protective shields, and a lot of other things. It's definitely waaaaaaay more complex than Kingdom and also equally more difficult. But that's also because there is just so much more to do.

Ya I neglected the outgrowths pretty badly in this run.
I saw on another gameplay vid when you expand your base it auto harvests any shrooms and scrap dunno if that will help in further runs :)
