Can’t believe they took him straight to Tom’s house instead of taking him straight to the hospital!!! They said the hospital was too far!! The GF is right, he still could’ve lived even if the hospital was far at least they could’ve saved his life!!

Yep perform CPR and all the way to hospital. Don't stop. Literally he had heartbeat and palse. Just became unconscious not too long. so sad about the people's decisions

What kind of a friend is that? So horrible! Tom doesn’t seem that stupid to not think what’s should be done the soonest for that kind of emergency for Franco. Janica should not continue being friend with that kind of person. Just be civil and that’s it. Poor Franco, he doesn’t have a true genuine brother love from that selfish Tom.

cheer edwy Okay my translations may be a little off but what happened is that they were riding boats to go on another land. Jan (the girl in the vid), Mico(victim), Tom and his girlfriend were on the boats. When it was time to go back to the mainland. They were told that they’re able to use just one boat. What they didn’t know was that the waves were strong so having a lot of people on a motorboat isn’t a good idea, so as they were heading to the island. The strong waves flipped the boat over. Now the issue was three of them couldn’t swim. Jan, mico and tom’s girlfriend. They were told to swim to safety but they couldn’t swim so they were drowning. After a while a one person boat finally comes. Jan holds on first but she wanted Mico’s life to be saved rather than hers. Mico was already feeling weak so when he grabbed the boat, he was also holding onto Jan, pulling her back into the water. So, jan decides to let go. Tom comes to them and tells them to stop wailing (I think) to stop wasting energy. BUT instead of helping them to hold onto the original boat to at least help them from drowning, he goes to his girlfriend who was already on the boat. The boatmen(?) who were in the one man boats, saved Tom and his gf first while both jan and Mico kept drowning. When they got saved, the boatmen(?) were dragging Franco by the feet (being reckless with his body). The men told her that they were going to take him to the hospital but they didn’t. They simply put him in Tom’s house bc they claimed that the hospital was too far so they continued doing CPR at Tom’s home. Jan made a good point by saying “at least do the CPR while in the car so that at least they can reach the hospital.”
Tom owns the resort and before Jan and Mico rode on the boat they asked for life jackets but got told that they did not have any.

That interviewer should be fired. She’s absolutely inconsiderate. She’s not paying attention to what this poor girl is saying. By the end of the interview you can tell how frustrated the girl was as she keeps repeating herself. Horrible

To those who are wondering why he passed away 😢Him, his girlfriend, and his team members, got on a boat to go to a beach. Him and his girlfriend, didn't know how to swim. They asked the captain if there were any life jackets on the boat, but there wasn't any. They arrived at the beach, and everything was fine. When it came time to go back to the mainland, the captain suggested that they split up into smaller groups. Somebody suggested that they could all fit on the boat, so they went along with it. While making the trip back, harsh waves hit the boat. (I believe it was a motorboat by the way. Not a huge boat or anything). The boat began to fill with water, and it was going to tip over. The captain suggested that everyone jump, and swim back to shore. Like I had mentioned earlier, the girl and the guy in the video didn't know how to swim. They were left to drown, while everybody else swam to safety. 30 minutes later, someone eventually pulled the girl to safety. Her boyfriend tried holding onto her and the rescuer, but he was weighing them down. He ended up letting go of them, and continued to drown. By the time they went back to retrieve him, he was already dead. This was all revealed in an interview, that she did with the media.(copied from another comment with explanation)

Frederika Katuuk from reading comments in her video that she posted herself Tom basically left her and Franco behind. I’m not sure if it’s true or not but the worst thing that I’ve heard is that he said to tell Janica that “Franco is done” when he was in the process of drowning. It’s just so sad to see the person you love drown and knowing that there was no rush from anyone to save him when he was unconscious. It’s horrible.

A life Jacket could have saved the life..also a mouth to mouth CPR should had done as soon as rescued...I believe if this applied could have saved the life.
How could a boat's business owner operates without a lifejacket. In a country where I live a life jacket is a must and it's the law!!!!
The boatmen asked them to use life jacket, but they refused. The boatmen also informed them that the boat is good for 3 person only but they insisted to stay together.
So we can't really blame the management as they informed them but they refused to follow.

I just watched this but omg his death is 100% avoidable. Firstly, let's say Tom is the worst friend ever. Like seriously. And no life jackets?? Omg. But i mean in this kind of situation, people would think about saving themselves first.. but like what she said, Tom could have them hold on to the boat or something? I wonder how he even sleep at night knowing clearly that he is one of the reasons why Miko died. Next, she did say before people kept going to help her first. Honestly in this kind of situation, they could have been more sensible in the sense of seeing who needed the attention more (not saying they shld leave her alone but judge the one who has a more severe situation first). The whole narrative of this feels like it was a plotted indirect murder. Like seriously, even if the hospital is far, you guys could have at least tried??? He lost his consciousness and all those ppl did was put him at Tom's house and watch his pulse stop beating and die off. Even if Tom's aunt(?) is a nurse, does she even have professional tools that can help Miko? Tom is the worst friend ever seriously.

I knew about the drowning incident from 3 yrs ago. I knew franco from hashtags and janica cos she’s a jadine fan. I didn’t know that their story had become viral. After 3 yrs, this was recommended to me. I didn’t know the full story. Now I’ve got some idea. And my heart breaks for her.
