I’m confused why it’s an issue filming on a national park for CZcams. The land is paid for and maintained by tax payers.
It depends on the national park in question. Half of them don't require a permit unless you're going to have an impact - big film crews, blocking access for visitors, props, etc., which makes sense. The other half are pricing small/independent, low/zero impact video makers out of filming in the parks, which doesn't make any sense
Mount Rainier want me to pay $300 just to apply, then I get charged location fees and $50/hr for someone to monitor my filming. I was clear when I emailed that I'd only be filming from parking lots and paved pedestrian areas, but apparently that doesn't matter since that footage might earn me a few dollars.
@@RevereOverland Rob l see some justification for the fee, but I see it more as way to add revenue more than anything else.
@ian bds- My thoughts exactly.
@@drewolm I don't disagree, I just don't want to be fined (or worse). Another CZcamsr was fined $1,000 and threatened with a warrant for arrest by the NPS after a disgruntled viewer reported them.
@@RevereOverland wow! That’s rough.
Image quality and production continues to astound me. I appreciate your content and encouragement for the rest of us to embark on adventures
What a wonderful, happy child. So aware and curious of his surroundings.
Again, another really beautiful video. ❤❤
He really enjoyed himself!
Outstanding. Great video and the happiest baby that I have ever seen. These videos will be even more precious 30 years from now when the family gets together.
Just epic! Glad everyone is fine! That the little guy is one happy kid! Just adorable!
The vibes ! Y’all r funny together. It’s nice to see a British midwesterner develop their filmmaking skills!
Rob this is such a great video man. Love seeing the whole family out there exploring.
Thanks!
Well done editing the video....I swear, that baby never cries! 🥰
Good to know the baby is doing ok. He is as tough as tundra!
Tougher!
As a new family of three with a little boy too, we really enjoyed this video. Very well filmed too, impressive! Chris, Ange & Oakley from Australia
What a great adventure with the little guy! Now you know what a happy camper is! (until the mouse incident). Glad everything turned out OK
Rob your son is just smiles for miles. Thrilled to see you taking him on adventures. 👍
I never smiled this much watching one of your videos, thanks
I'm here in Arizona and I absolutely love the scenery out here. I'm disabled but just took delivery of a new Bronco. Thanks for your amazing channel that inspires everyone to get out and explore and challenge their own limitations!
Enjoy that Bronco!
You're an amazing friend, and I am glad the young lad is strong and healthy!
Freezing in Montana watching your video! Heading to Alaska.
Hopefully Alaska is warmer!
I found you by watching TSTN and seeing you all there. I am glad the baby is alright. You do a really good job of recording and some great descriptions of what we are seeing. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
PS I also subscribed. Everybody watching and enjoying all these great CZcams videos should to help you keep up the good work. It doesn't cost anything.
Thanks! I'm glad you made it over here!
The quality of your photography is off the charts! Your son is a little trooper!
This was very nicely done. Quality. Met you at Moore, you are very genuine guy.
He is so cute, I firs saw him in TSTN Jeep breaking down video which was the same time frame as this one. He alwasy smiles. Love from Pakistan
This video is a treasure. It's wonderful to see you and your family exploring. Your little boy, Rob is ❤so cute!
You guys are awesome. All of you. Your little guy is a trooper. Glad that mouse attack wasn't any worse than it was. As you already know, there's a million reasons why you shouldn't go out with kids, but as you also know, there are a million why you should. Kudos!
It's super rewarding taking him, and he loves it!
Great content and quality as usual. Your son is loving his adventurous life!
another stunning journey ... can't believe I missed your stop in Prescott, i was at summit the next morning talkin to Ashley, she mentioned you guys needed repairs ...Jesse has the best shop and crew in N Az.. glad the lil one is ok 🐁 cheers Rob!
They're awesome people!
Fantastic video, can't wait to do this trip in my Crosstrek with some homies.
That’ll be fun!
Love your vids man, this is what life is about just good ole family fun. Learning about the area and respecting those that have come before us. Kudos
Awesome family adventures! Really enjoy seeing your new baby and learning the history of the area. So interesting. 🌵 🌵🌵
Ok, I’m sure that you edit for maximum cuteness and good moods, but dang that seems like a happy baby! Love seeing it, thanks for sharing all of the beautiful footage!
He had a couple of meltdowns, but is generally a very happy baby and actually seemed happier out camping that he is at home!
Another excellent video, Rob! Your skills are getting better with each one. Well done, buddy. The kiddo adds so much to mood. Love it.
Great trip. Way to handle all the unexpected challenges with class.
The most beautiful video you have produced! Nice job!
Happy you had a chance to run that trail in AZ. I live about 30 minutes from there, so I’m fortunate to get to run it several times a year.
That's awesome. There are so many trails around there!
Very quality videos keep it coming ..
Glad to hear your son's ok. Great vid.
Damnit, Mickey!
Really enjoy your videos. I generally watch on my TV, so commenting is impossible, but i wanted to say that the Timelapse shot of the clouds over the Joshua Trees was epic. Then I saw that sunset in the next Timelapse clip and was just in awe. Beautiful work! Cheers!
Thank you!
Very nice video! 😊
The videos the landscape and scenery are brilliant. Makes one wish he was there to take it all in himself.
Arizona, that's right in my backyard. Oh I could tell you about trails in the area.
That Kid is Magic✅️
We love taking him places, so there will be plenty more of him on future trips!
Very enjoyable thanks
One of my favorite videos you have done! I film my adventures as well and I feel we a similar style but your video quality is miles above me! Not even on the same planet lol I started this year so I guess I need to just keep practicing :-)
Great video!
Hello from Alberta, Canada! As seniors, we are no longer able to travel to explore. We appreciate the outstanding photography of your adventures!
Thanks for watching!
I have a 3500 Chevrolet diesel truck and I love that truck. It’s big and heavy but I love it.
You have a lovely family
Grate video, thank you for bringing it to me at home. I work 65 to 70 hours a week and putting 3 kids through school so taking the time to go explore just doesn’t work for me. I like watching your videos and thank you. I have a 3500 Chevrolet diesel, single rear wheel and I do have 4 wheel drive with a 34 ft toy holler. Can I take my truck and trailer on that trails. I do have 18 years of truck driving experience so I can get a truck and trailer just about anywhere as long as I can drive on the road, I think you know what I’m talking about. And thank you again. I am going to sign up for the On X app too but.
That is one lucky kid
Happy kiddo.
Very! He loves being outside
Great video. I think you should show us how to fly drone and restrictions as to where you can and cannot fly drones.
Love you video
You took the long way up to Flag. It's a beautiful drive. That's where we cut our teeth 4x4ing. But I must say the Summit guy's let you slide pronouncing Prescott as Prescott not Preskitt .... ;~) Great work as always.
You and Kevin need to plan a new family trip..!!
We do!
I went in the same way you did right off 95 heading west. Went a little past the Joshua Tree Forest last time there. Great video. Thanks. I know you no longer have the 4Runner but if you were building another 5th Gen what would you do differently? Thanks.
amazing
Why did I not see the polar bear in the video?
You weren't watching close enough. Watch it all again!
Love Rob Junior😊
I do too!
I really enjoy your videos just wondering are you going to be at the expo in Oregon this year?
I am! The truck will be in the Heretic Studio booth, and I'll be there and in the OnX booth... or wandering around seeing the show!
You got the Bishop button I put in back in May. ;-)

A captivating episode. Wonderful storytelling through quality editing. Great work. 👍It's interesting to learn what rules other countries' National Parks have when it comes to photography & videography. In Australia, there is no restriction to both in our National Park, apart from a blanket rule of "No Drones". BTW, where can I buy one of your velco patches of your logo? I looked into your merch store and it wasn't listed. Do you sell them?
Thank you! I have them, but stupidly left them in my truck when we came home
@@RevereOverland Will you be making them available on your merch store to purchase?
Wait I saw you at Moore Overland. Interrupted your talk with Power brake person on April 21.
Hey I was wondering what kind of drone you use for those sick shots out in the open? Been loving the content keep up the great work
It's a Mavic 3!
What a cutie 😊
23:36 what drone are you using?
Such an epic video!! How many miles are on the Tundra now??
Coming up to 47k miles!
@@RevereOverland that’s awesome. Have you had any mechanical issues?
@@joseperezpaz9986 nope. The only problem I've had was a trim piece breaking.
@@RevereOverland that’s awesome man! Love my 23 Tundra & your videos are awesome btw! Keep up the hard work!
How did you attach your Armadillo bag to the spare and how is that working? Does the tire wear on the bag any? Thanks
It’s just strapped on with their cinch straps. No wear at all!
Any recommendations for overlanding with an infant/toddler?
Just go out there and do it. None of us really know what we're doing, even if it appears we do!
Definitely be prepared to go slower with lots of breaks, take different sleep sacks for different temperatures, and check out the Dock-A-Tot... and keep mice away!
“A Brit and a Canadian are walking through the Mojave Desert……..”
Best part of this trip everything was ok with your son.
does one have cell reception on this 150 mojavi road
Nope!
I’ve always wondered why the low rider look with wheels sticking out of the wheel wells for no off road benefit.
It gives more clearance from the sway bar, allowing for larger tires, which helps off road. It also helps hold the body of the vehicle off larger obstacles in some situations. You don't want them sticking out too far though, otherwise they won't tuck up under the fender when flexing.
@@RevereOverland Thank you. Great vids. However, it’s a shame we don’t have Land Cruisers in the US similar to what Ronny Dahl and Andrew St. Pierre White have in Australia and Africa where the low rider wheel look is unnecessary for expedition travel.
Around minutes 40 what road is that in Arizona? Thank you
Not sure about the name
Your son is so darn cute
Thanks! I think so too, but I might be biased
Do all 3 of you sleep in the rooftop tent? How do you get the kiddo up there?
We do. It has a platform at the front for him to sleep on. We just hand him up to each other through the door at the back.
@Revere Overland I know it's not as majestic as your real footage on these trips, but that day-to-day minutiae stuff is really interesting as well. I'd love to see how you guys handle things throughout the night. Like that whole mouse episode would be great video! A bit less romantic of course...and I get your hesitancy...but nobody else on youtube is doing these sort of trips with a baby.
And...you should install a crane and pully system to get him up there...hahabaa...
What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back? A stick.
Lol!
Can you give an estimate on how much you made last month on CZcams
Hey was that an att loneliness facility? Is it still in use?
AT&T long lines? It's not still in use.
Everybody is able to know immediately who is the father of that little baby.
Not a Toyota guy but have been subscribed for a couple of years. Maybe if you started driving a jeep you could reach 100k. Love your videos. You go to some awesome places. My wife and l where a day behind you when you went over the McGregor cordor.
My last video was 100% Jeep! The Magruder is awesome!
Yep. I seen the Utah trip. Loved it! Did you like the jeep?

FORD - Found On the Road Disintegrating
you wish all national places would have that same outlook for youtube video's. like they say you have no more impacted then any other normal visitor
I wish they would. I was just told by Mount Rainier that it’s $300 plus location fees and a $50/hr baby sitter fee… and I can only film from parking lots and roads basically.
The Son is regular Indiana Jones.
😂
Whoever said should have bought a Toyota is dumb. Toyota "reliability" is a myth. They break a fail just like a other vehicles
People have figured out all kinds of neat little ways to leave piles of trash in the desert.
Jeep. The biggest POS off road vehicle there is. They’re so overrated. But what does one expect from Fiat?
