Also there's a specific team that does the rifle drill, not every recruit learns it. Also the rifles used, as you can see in the video are very different than the guns used in modern day combat.
I have no clue if what you are saying is true although there is a thing in music where according to an article Adam Neely read, musicians develop muscle memory in their instrument and over time, they incorporate their instrument as a part of their body as they learn more and more about their instrument where they know where if you ask them to play a C, they just fo it without even thinking so perhaps there is some merit ( Can confirm Adam Neely's claim as a musician; ask any physical instrumentalist with a few months experience, they'll probably agree)
