Some "anti- Yuzuru" critiques say that Yuzuru is just a narcissist and the arrogant one. But they are totally mistaken. Yuzuru's "confidence" that appears to be narcissistic comes from HARD EFFORTS he continued to seriously make and challenged to make. And he is a man of "walking the walk" not "talking of the talk." Only those who wouldn't know how to improve themselves by making efforts are the ones who always criticize Yuzuru, because they don't understand "how" Yuzuru appreciates the meaning of human life and the value of making efforts. And they never know what Yuzuru tries to represent on the ice is "TRUTH" OF LIFE. That is why audiences are magically absorbed into his "ice world" when he skates.
I let each person express themselves, say their thoughts. Of course being anti-Hanyu is, being against figure skating, pure true. It's not about fans Because I could say I'm against Chen! And I am. But to be a fan is to be able to look beyond that. And beyond that there's only Hanyu!!! Stay anti! We know where the pure emotion, the enchantment, the magic is. He is one of the most coolest, humblest and hard working man, I've seen (through interviews, videos, news etc) or heard of. But i literally can't stop laughing after the first few seconds in this video's when he said "I'll land the 4A before you die". He is one of the best skater out there. I believe he'll land the 4A, but first I'm glad that he's taking a break to look after his well being. plus he's a survivor, he survived the earthquake, which is a great feat, that day changed his life, but even through it all he survived and became the face to the figure skating sports and an idol to many.
Hahaha yeah in the press conference, the translator had to twist the words to "I'll land the 4A as long as you are alive" to not sound rude! Then some editors who understood Japanese pointed it out one day and that's when we realised how funny / cool he is! He's really the best!
I liked the "don't worry" part the best. He gave her shade right back to her. The only thing that would have made the shade better is if he had said "Don't worry, sweetheart, I'll land the 4a before you die"

I shall tell my future kids about him and keep him as their inspiration, to have THAT much passion and pour all of it, that's Yuzuru Hanyu for you.

Yes, correct. Eleven years ago today, Yuzuru's world, & his perspective changed. Yuzuru inculcated compassion & generosity into his being, along with his humility, talent, & determination.
The disaster definitely made us all cherish lives even more dearly and he's the best role model for us!
I almost cried at the "If efforts lie, it isn't in vain". I'm going trough something right now and I felt like even my family can't understand my situation. I started questioning myself if my efforts wasn't enough... Damn this is so timely for me.

He has humbled manner, but he’s super strong inside. His confidence come from the amount of effort he puts to his skating. All the success that he had come from the walk that he actually did walk not just only talk. When he said he will do 4A before that reporter die because he already walked that path long before this question come up. This man is really an iconic of never give up and the real challenger.
I would die happily ONLY once I get to see Mr Hanyu land the 4A. After he lands it, I shall not fear death ~•_•~

I like how finally someone who is so popular finally said that effort may not always lead you to win in life but it is something that does not go in vain. Being someone who has given a lot of effort in my school days but still not being able to win has effected me a lot . All the people around me said that i may not have put that much effort into practice along with my parents even though I rarely slept to prepare for the competition. This was the particular moment that attracted me to hanyu.

I love Yuzu who is genius, artistic, great jumper, hard worker, persistent, kawaii, kind hearted, considerate, and yet has 'oni' inside, can be 'savage' or straight forward when needed ❤️
Those post Worlds 2019 interviews were brutal. First there were the "American" reporters in droves who really never cared until an American won. Then not only were they all puffed up with their guys victory, they were like "so what happened to you" and "how does it feel to lose" when talking to Yuzu. It didn't take them any time at all to drop the pretense of nice and raise the snark.

This man, Yuzuru Hanyu, is the most hard worker, confident, humble, respectful, kind, inspiring and the list goes on and on, but just because he's kind it doesn't mean he's going to take people's sh*t. He answers and slaps them with a white glove. I just like him even more and more for the amount of pressure, the 11.3 incident, his discipline and how genuine he is. A true Legend that hopefully future generations will look up to. THE G.O.A.T. // I mean even ISU had to change their "rules" on how they mark figure skating (after how many years of not modifying it) because he was just eating them AND because of their unfair scoring, they might try his thesis about a fair score with the help of AI. オリンピックの報奨金も全て地元に寄付。
それ以外に、日本で起こった災害地に寄付をしています。

This is the hero figure you meet in so many books... that's probably why a lot of people are sceptical about him existing IRL. But Yuzu's real... whether you're sceptical about him being genuine or not, he does exist. And the world is the better for it.
He is really a performer he is not disturbed by cameras and all those fans audiences looking at him... He enjoys it though and that makes him adorable... Like him a lot😍👍

I enjoy watching him answering all those ridiculous questions in YUzuru way. Omoshiroi ne. He explained his professional way of the skater to reporter for 5 minutes straight without any help. And now, he said, I will jump 4A before you die for sure. WOW, YUZURU, I think it is only Yuzuru who can do that. I am not a fan at all. You already proved that you are one of the greatest skater being in OLYMPIC. There is No Doubt about it. But, I somehow like to see him answering those questions. He is an interesting human being

Man I can never bring myself to watch his post Olympic interviews really breaks my heart. I hope he can reconcile with the world and realize that gold medal isn’t irrelevant any more at this point and we’re just happy to see him perform.
I could never have brought myself to watch his Olympic performances but now that happier things have happened, I'm able to watch them and appreciate their beauty and as always, his fighting spirit to the end.

楽しい編集❕羽生さんはインタビュアーの事をよく把握していて切り返しが面白いですね。しかし、プレスカンファレンスや試合前のバックヤードの様子まで放映されるようになったのはいつから？何をしても絵になるからメディア追いかけるのでしょうが、時には答えたくない時や断りたいときもあるでしょう。その点の気配り心配りが大人だなぁと感心します。
