Referring to someone as a "consultant" when they are supposed to have a fiduciary responsibility to one party but are being paid by another party in the transaction is really a misnomer. A franchise consultant has little to no incentive to align with the long-term goals or success of a franchisee when they are being paid a one time transaction commission by the franchisor. Putting faith into the advice of a franchise consultant is about a foolish as taking the advice of a "financial advisor" that is being paid commissions by financial service companies to sell whole life insurance, annuities, etc.

Hey Tariq - great video. We work with franchisees once they take that next step. We are a franchise CPA firm that helps startup franchisees get funding, form their legal entity/DBA/licensing, and also help them with their accounting, franchisor reporting and tax preparation and planning. You're doing great work here - keep helping people get into the right fit for them and they can achieve amazing success.

Congratulations, but you probably don’t. Most consultants recommend the same 5-10 franchises.

What are your thoughts on a career with IFPG? Its a 25k investment to get the licensing and training and I have worked with a consultant myself in the past. BIG commissions and seems pretty flexible and rewarding

Have you owned a franchise before? If not, why would you start a business selling them?

Your response implies you can’t learn franchise consulting without owning a franchise. Yet people sell real estate who haven’t owned a house. Is it just too hard to master? Just confused, not being snarky!
