Smokey Robinson was the founder & front man of the Motown vocal group the Miracles from the 50's-70's. They had lots of great hits including "You've Really Got a Hold on Me", "Mickey's Monkey", "I Second That Emotion", "Ooo Baby Baby", "Going To A Go-Go", "The Tracks Of My Tears" etc. He wrote many hit songs for other Motown artists such as Mary Wells, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Marvelettes, Marvin Gaye & others.
Some of Smokey's Hits: Going To A Go-Go, Second That Emotion, You Really Got A Hold on Me, Tracks Of My Tears, Mickey's Monkey, plus other songs I didn't mention.
One of my favorite vocalists ever. I’ve seen him 4 times in concert and yet… finding out the lyrics watching this - 50 yrs later! My verses were “sounds like” words. 😂💜
Released in '69, I was 12. My older sister introduced me to Motown and Smokey.
His voice is so smooth and you can relate to all of his songs.

Smokey's voice was/is incredible it's true, but I think what is even more noteworthy is his ability to put words together that convey both emotional and romantic sense.

This is my Favorite tune by Smokey, but I love "My Girl & The way you do the Things you Do - Temptationsl, Ooh Baby baby, You Really got ahold on Me, Tracks of my Tears, Tears of a Clown, Crusin, Being with You, by Smokey & The Miracles, My Guy by Mary Wells, How Sweet it Is, by Marvin Gaye." Smokey Robinson wrote 4.000.00 Songs and 37 Top 40 Hits. I absolutely love this Classic Tune. Thank You Asia & BJ, Smokey is a Legendary Songwriter, Holland/Dozier/Holland Studied Smokeys Compositions to learn Songwriting, The Orchestration is Awesome & Soulful, Guitar & Vocals are Absolutely Gorgeous. To Asia & BJ : " Smokey " Robinson was FAR more than just a singer. He composed / Arranged / orchestrated the music on all songs he wrote in his time at Motown. And, in the early & mid--60's, I was always able to tell if a song was a " Smokey Song ", because of the intelligence of the lyrics & the perfect arrangements for both music & vocals. From the great-----great early Temptations songs , to a personal favorite, " When I'm Gone ", by Brenda Holloway , to " The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game", by The Marvellettes, on & on ; I could always tell if it was a Smokey song, & production. Now, compare them, to songs composed by Brian & Eddie Holland., & Lamont Dozier, which includes the early monster hits by The Supremes & The 4 Tops. COMPLETELY different sound---------lyrical approach -----------totally different . Again, for whatever reasons, I was always able to tell the difference. ----------------------------MJL, 76 y/o

Here’s a little constructive comment from me. You need to either place your microphones closer to your mouths or turn up the volume, I can barely hear you two and this is with headphones on and my volume turned up.
Also, the volume of the songs you play could also be turned up. I’m not sure if it’s possible to perform a sound check before you start recording but it might help?
