Thank you very much for watching this video. It's a performance video of the synthesizer. SQ-1 is very interesting. **Equipments** KORG volca fm 2 KORG SQ-1 **Subscribe** bit.ly/3FbhO4r #volca #synthesizer #KORG
The fm2 sounds great with the internal effects! As soon as I can update the first version of my fm! a suggestion, I think that with a simple trs cable from the midi out to the in of the volca you could control it! That way it would be cleaner. a greeting😉
Volca FM 2 also adds velocity sensitivity, real MIDI I/O, 32 more patches, there are more patterns, patterns can be up to 256 steps, there is reverb, motion sequencing (automation), and it now has patch randomization!
You're pressing a lot of keys and turning lots of knobs on the SQ-1 but I'm not hearing much change in the sequence until you start in on the Volca. Am I missing something? It still sounds sounds great.
I watch countless videos like this because I don’t know anything about it but love it as a fan of deep house, downtempo, ambient, etc. and all I see is button pressing and knob twisting with no clue what is happening 😅😅
@@UCCHI_P38 You should try, As you could use a stereo splitter and have the SQ1 running the original FM and FM2 together for 9 voices, or an NTS1 for a 7th voice alongside FX for the Volca FM2, .....Just an idea I have everything except the Volca FM2 and will be trying both options myself just too see if it's possible 👍
@@UCCHI_P38 Absolutely no problem mate., I hope you try before me so I can just watch lol, you would have too plug the SQ1s midi extension in too the splitter for the original Volca FM but should be able too midi straight to the FM2 with a stereo cable from the splitter cable, All the best and happy tweaking 🕉️😊
@@UCCHI_P38 i have definitely done this with success in other gear with 3.5mm midi (microfreak and model samples in my case), can be easier than finding the dongle every time. Just need to make sure it's the right cable, stereo i think
This is the greatest beginner synth setup ever.
Volca FM have a lot of sound characters 😄
So cool use of the sq-1 and so clever mixing the sequencer on the FM, great work!
Thank you so much!! 😁
beautifully hypnotic
Thank you😄
Nice one! Enjoyed the flow of it.
Thank you so much 😄
Cool jam
Thank you😄
But, can’t you do this without the SQ-1? The Volca FM 2 has a sequencer..? Just wondering. Anyone?
FM2 also has a sequencer😄 I wanted to improvise and change the scale, so I used the SQ-1.
@@UCCHI_P38 ok.
Cool stuff 👍
Thank you😄

Thank you very much! I will try your suggestion!!
Great video. This is a really nice setup for beginners!
Anyone got any advice on a good low cost, intuitive sequencer?
Thank you 😄 This sequencer is cheap, small, and works with modular synthesizers, so it's recommended for beginners.
Nīce … really gets interesting @ 4:00
Thank you!😄
I've never tried the SQ-1 with my Volcas... I think it is because I usually use it with my semi-modular gear... Might have to try it out...
I see. The SQ-1 is very useful sequencer. If you use for the volcas, you can get good inspiration more. 😄
😍😍😍😍😍😍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Nice session mate 😎😍 do you like the fm2? And do u have the old fm? How is the difference? Geez cya ☕🍪
Thank you😄 I like fm2 especially the metallic sound and I have fm2 only. I just know 6 poly synth it.

@@jackcimino8822 amazing 😍
so sick! and you didn't use external effects at all either?
I didn't use external effects😄

Thank you😄 I am studying how to use SQ-1😊
@@UCCHI_P38 I've had an SQ-1 for years now and don't touch it because it's so un-intuitive.
I want to try various sequencers😚

Can you not just run a stereo lead from sq1 too midi in on volca FM 2 exactly like the nts1?
I connected SQ-1 midi out to FM2 midi in. Maybe same as the NTS-1.

Hi, I' m a beginner with that. My SQ1 only controlls the speed on the fm and nothing else. What did I do wrong?
Did you adapt the MIDI channel to the synth?
@@UCCHI_P38
Yes, used the Midi Kabel and channel like you in the Video. Did I have to do any other settings?
I'm not familiar with it, but you might want to look into MIDI types - type is A or B, and if the type doesn't match, it doesn't seem to work.
@@UCCHI_P38 i will have a look, thanks so much! 😊
A trs cable from midi out to midi in dont work? 🤔🤔
I was beginner when I made this video😅 It works with TRS cable only👍
