USPS wastes A LOT OFMONEY buying useless technology. EXTREME poor planning and wasting OUR MONEY. No Results. Does anybody really know what the hell they are doing at USPS??? I have tracked packages (Priority Mail) and watched my package go through facilities that are far off a straight line to my local post office. Adding 2 weeks waiting time. Thankfully it's not many packages but why does it happen in the first place. WE PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR USING USPS!!!
Every time the Postal Service attempts to streamline the delivery of mail, the APWU and the Mail Handlers unions cause this crap. After almost 30 years as a Postal worker I have seen it happen dozens of times. Next up are the "Informational Picket" lines, where they tell anyone who will listen about how bad management is in the PO and how much your mail will be delayed (even though they are the one's causing the delays) unless the PO does it their increasingly costly way. Then comes all the idiot politicians telling the PO management what to do in the best interest of his or her political campaign. Privatize now.
In Arkansas my mail has been delayed by weeks, some coming from Dallas and some from Tennessee. I currently have 4 packages stuck somewhere. Tracking shows delayed and “in transit”. I’m not the only one, several people I know have had issues!
Needs a new leader, for sure. How about stop having workers work 12 hour days 6 days a week. Huge turnover rate because of burn out and no life for most. That starts with the top not noticing this crap and trying to fix that huge issue. More issues than just that, but the turnover is ridiculous.
That can't be the only processing center with issues. I'm in Canada. Any mail I get from the US takes at least a month to get to me. When I lived in the US not that long ago, it took about a week at the most to get mail home.
Usps rural carrier here. I took TWO pay cuts in 2023 because Dejoys dumba$$ new plans. Thousand of other rural carriers took pay cuts AND/OR lost their days off every week. The usps has become a joke. A lot of us cared for the job and our customers, now we're too beaten down and exhausted to care for much of anything... we are soon going up on another mail count again , more pay cuts to follow.... FIRE DEJOY!
The specter of the movie "Idiocrazy" looms in the horizon. Currently , the most simple tasks are beginning to crumble. (For God's sake , post service!)
How can you make something more efficient and profitable when you ship someones package who lives on the east coast to west coast when both sender and receiver are on the east coast. They literally run it like idiots. 😂
Not TX, but I was told by a USPS employee trying to help me track down a lost package that they no longer sort packages by type. They all just get thrown together and then try to sort them individually further down the line I guess. She said that's a major factor causing many packages to get lost or become delayed & they are not happy about it. My package was to be shipped ground only due to hazardous material and took a flight to Puerto Rico for a month before finally getting to its destination. But that's just one of many issues I've had with various classes of mail.
Other than an occasional birthday or holiday card, I never use the USPS. I certainly won't complain about them holding up all my junk mail. Please feel free to throw my junk mail in your dumpster!
The USPS needs to hire people who want to work, most are so over weight that if they drop mail by accident they can't bend over and pick it up so they just leave it lieing on the ground...
Congress doesn't know what all the issues are and as this reporting stated was that the machine was to big for the building so that right there is a issue the solution is in my opinion is expand the building up and from all sides just and i got other ideas and solutions for this problems and others my ideas and suggestions are to help my fellow Americans

An air mail letter to or from the UK takes about a month. That's 29 days in the US and 1 day on in the UK (according to USPS tracking). Fire Dejoy!
