Lmao, LVD knew the merfolk player would choke and attack all in! Most people would not even spare the time to see if the opponent would misplay. Thats why you are the best, LVD!
snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
Insane plan, I can't believe it worked out
Remember, if you scoop early, you deprive your opponent of the opportunity to hoist themselves by their own petard.
Yea recently discored him as an MTGA content creator. The calm and explaining style is really refreshing and each video you feel you learned something its great.
PRO GAMER!!!!!!!!!
I was the jeskai player in game 1! When I cycled my land I drew a counterspell to fight against the board wipe, but autotapper didn't leave me with enough blue mana haha. Loved playing against you, it was fun and I'm a huge fan!
Man that's a little infuriating
Nice playing you!
certified arena moment
You handled that child at match 4 very professionally. Your tone of voice didn’t even change with his bm.
I was like "ok kid is going the oops shit way" but Legend didn't react at all but stayed interested in the game itself, so funny.
Oops is so fucking embarrassing. What, do you think the other player doesn't know about the combo?
Hearing your disbelief in seeing the merfolk player attack all out was worth watching! Thanks for the awesome content as usual!
31:15 "Just finds their god." Spoken so casually it cracked me up.
Yeah, especially when its paired with fear of finding lord. "Ah, this is just a god, weph".
23:02 . Suddenly gets loud and wise. What a champ that one
The end of match 6 may have been the most intense commentary I've ever heard from LVD. That was totally epic.
Ikr, super funny.
As an LVD boomer myself: you might get a kick out of watching a really old Mono-Green video from him, with Steel Leaf Champion on the thumbnail :)
@@corpsefoot758 His very old Elves video was what got me into his channel.
Lol the merfolk dude!!
Match against merfolk was peak magic gameplay 😂
Luca, the Untiltable!!! You're such an awesome player, man. Good job with this deck! Not a fan of mill but this is definitely a strong deck! You're the best!!
I'm very thankful that the recent Sheoldred "Hush" emote has provided a response for the folks who use "Good Game" and "Oops" to be jerks.
thank you LVD, I've been playing your previous Turbo Mill non-stop since you made a video a few months ago!! gonna craft this for sure! cheers
Orb was always one of my favorites back in Mirrodin, I remember building a mill deck in standard back then. Great video, gonna have to craft this one!
"Can have a quick glimpse at their deck" right after milling then out with a glimpse the unspeakable 🤣
I was JUST about to craft one of these myself! Love it. Might become my new main in historic. Dimir mill is love.
Great games! I love playing mill, and this is a nice, tasty spin on it. Excellent gameplay and spot on predictions of opponent's decks. The Merfolk all in was hilarious, I bet that player is watching every all in now! LMAO, you rock Legend :)
I always love these decks. They look like they have nothing to deal with stuff and always look low on life, but they're always in full control!
HERES the version I was looking for! I commented on another of your mill videos looking for Mesmeric Orb....this is where it is! This version is close to the version I'm playing, it's freaking brutal.
Just in time for lunch! Been a while since I saw a mill deck from you.
I was curious when we would see this deck. Super excited.
Great set of games and fun deck. Amazing content. Thanks.
The goblin player was such a child, lol.
Man, that belcher player was super toxic. Imagine someone behaving like that irl at your LGS. Nobody is playing with that person.
Right? “Oops! Oops!” They’d get disqualified so fast.
I'm assuming they really hate mill or just bm whenever they have the combo ready.
I think Glimps was a little safer on match 5, since with double orbs you were guaranteed to mill the opponent out.
Great video as always, thank you so much for the great content 🙏
Yeah, I was thinking the same.
Orb was milling for 14 out of 20. Glimpse was a guaranteed win.
that merfolk battle.... WHAT A FOOL!
Was able to create a nice anti mill, mill deck with your old patient rebuilding Deck from years ago, a few well fitting Gaea's blessings and a few other modifications. I have thus named it Vindictive Counter-Mill, and I feel joy every time i play against these god damn mono blue nightmares. Thank you LVD🤣
The only problem of building specific anti mill decks is that most of them lose to everything else 😢
@@olavoborges57 Actually not so much. It's basically a Bant mill deck, which gives it access to Gaea's blessing which is often enough to just make a blue mill quit once they see it. Otherwise your plan is to mill your opponent to death or ult your teferi hero of Dominaria while you stall the game. It stalls so well that you can actually get away with some alternate win conditions and other safety net strats added in.
That merfolk card draw mill out... OUCH! lol
Tasha's hitting 28 cards against Izzards and then 27 against rogues was just ridiculous. It's so punishing to low MV decks.
“Don’t think we want to fatal push the veteran”
No, I think most people tend to frown on that
op in match 4 not too happy about facing a mill deck 😁
Chat spamming LVD is so futile, it’s hilarious
Match 6 was classic!!!
I don't always play mill (actually I almost never do)
but when I do, I use Tasha's Hideous Laughter (love that card so much)
Man that merfolk game ending, that's gotta sting.
I've been on that side of it before, it really does
Will you remake Turbo Tutelage now that shadows over innistrad is coming?
Teferis tutelage isn’t as good as sphinx’s tutelage but it is still close
Nice video as always! 😄 Are you going to make a draft guide/review for the upcoming Innistrad remastered set? Also would love to see a Tovolar historic brawl video, once we have access to more werewolves! 😉
Innistrad = best plane 🤘😤🤘
Hello. And did I mention, .... I Love Mill!
I LOVE MILL!
Kudos for not reacting to the toddler GOODGAMEOOPSing you to death.
Hey, love your videos and mill decks!
What do you think about Fraying Sanity?
Does it not really fit in this deck?
Isnt it worth the 3 mana in comparison ?
Thanks
And whats your way to deal with Gaya's Blessing?
...and would you rank the Terisian Mindbreaker + Fraying Sanity 1shot lower than this deck?
Fraying Sanity isn't great with Hideous Laughter (which is probably our best "mill" card), so don't think it fits into this build. Cling to Dust can hit Blessing, but you shouldn't encounter it on the best of one ranked ladder. I have been matched against decks with Gaea's Blessing when playing mill decks in the Play queue however. Ashiok can also be a sideboard option to deal with it I suppose. Mindbreaker + Sanity sounds fun, but probably not competitive.
opponent in match 4 really thought he was skilled lmao
What do you do against gae's blessing? Just scoop it up? How do are win
It's not a widely played card in ranked, but can exile it with Cling to Dust.
You made me not hate mill … as much. 😊
Why do you use Darkslick Shores instead of Shipwreck Marsh?
Curve is quite low need both colors early for Crab and Push.
@@LegenVD undestood, thank you, this deck is really fun to play, even w/o Bruvac
Drown in the Loch was MVP for both players
Oh boy, one of my all-time favourite archetypes!
I imaging the oponenst faces saying ... I cant with this jaja blue is a great color.
Can you swap drown in the loch with other counterspells?
It's an option, although Drown being removal is quite useful. It's also a little easier to cast than a double blue counter in this deck.
@@LegenVD for sure. I’m just super low on mystic wild cards right now lol
@@ROCKIESFAN30 Drown is an Uncommon from Throne of Eldraine! Please be careful not to craft the Mythic version.
@@LegenVD you sir just saved me 4 mythic cards in the future 🙏🏻 thank you
@@LegenVD also, any tips on how to get wildcards quickly outside of just completing quests without spending money on the game? Or is that all there is to it?
Match 7 could have ended a turn sooner by playing glismp plus orb since it would exactly milled 14 cards. Also classic merfolk play.
Not sure how we can cast both of those with only 3 mana 🤔
Do you mostly post games where you win?
Try to show a good sample size that reflects the deck’s power. I’ll filter out non-games even if I win them to show higher quality games.
Good Game
Oops
Oops
Good Game
Oops
Good Game
Average charbelcher player
A lot of arena players would not be very liked in local game stores lol
Honestly the anonymity of arena really does breed a lot of toxicity. It’s good that oops is the worst they can say beyond the cards they play, lol
Against mill decks that's understandable
and it's playing a toxic stupid deck!!! It's that even considered playing Magic? I don't do anything, then at turn 3 I play a spell and automatically win. And you can't do anything about it, especially if you don't play blue (no access to counterspells). Reason to stay far from Historic.
If only we had Archive Trap.
please upgrade rogues with jace =)
Match 8 xD
I took this to No Ban List Historic event and won against Banned Stuff Izzet Delver. edit: I then lost twice in a row to Izzet Delver
Why not Bruvac?
Too slow, win more
@@nikmidclayton5933 bruvac + jace = 30 mill
What would you replace
Terisian Mindbreaker is a meme card I guess.
Yeah not quite fast enough for Historic.
There are some fun things you can do with it alongside Bruvac, but won't be very competitive.
Merfolk, lol
Match 6 was scripted haha! I love it.
Why Not Add x4 TOXIC DELUDGE'S
For Board Wipe's, They Would've Prevented ALOT Of Damage That U Took...
Card wasn’t on Arena when this deck was made.
In match 5 instead of playing a hideous laughter it would have been safer to just play a glimpse
That's fair, although with Lurrus as Companion I can't really imagine a scenario where Hideous Laughter doesn't do it.
Mill players are eating well these days.
Imagine losing the game in platinum league because you couldn't wait to figure it out. Crazy, right?
more like compleated mill
It'll never stop being funny to me how the most pathetic people play the more pathetic decks. It's incredible!!
Bad manners and people who play the cheesiest unfair decks. Name a more iconic duo.
Not a good merfolk day.
F Raahja
Please, I’m begging you
that second game 7 was crab shy of perfect opener and he mulligan. you cant mulligan that kind of hands. turn 2 mill 8 turn 3 thatssa mill half a deck turn 4 second thassa mill half of the deck and turn 5 second path and mill 8. his first line on play he talks every turn is allways the worst possible line
You still need interaction when there are decks that can kill on turn 4 consistently. Milling half their deck doesn't matter if you're dead. Happy to hear how you would've sequenced differently.
@@LegenVD yes your deck would have won in turn 4
@@Burden82 That's not even good enough on the draw 😅
Ewww
this is just mean
I'll never understand how people find something like the Charbelcher deck amusing to play. It's completely linear and binary. No challenge, (almost) no interaction with your opponent and you basically cut out 99% of the things that make MTG a good game.
To each his own, I guess. *shrug*
great now everyone is going to be playing the worst type of magic.
