Your waxing technique is interesting. I've used bees wax, wax paper and an iron. The results seams to be the same. I never really took it farther than exploring the results. You've taken it to another level which is exciting. Appreciate your sharing 👍🏼

The giraffe totem is a helpful symbol for reminding yourself that what makes you unique is one of your gifts to the world (like your quirky flowers). In addition, the giraffe totem serves as a reminder that your dreams are only limited by your beliefs in what you can achieve. Always remember to reach for the stars and ask your Angels for help.

Love using wax! At Easter time you can get great waxed crayons in the dye kits which are great for using as resists or to ‘color’ with and then melt! (Same could be done with candles I’m sure.) great addition to an art project! Thank you for sharing!

Very interesting technique. Thank you so much. Years ago I received a totem of a left-handed Welch. A sea shell that twines in the opposite direction most do..it’s my permission to be different.
Lovley collage and waxed paper technique. I waxed some papers months ago and could not figure out how to glue them down. Fabrictac! Thank you for the inspiration Robyn!

This is a splendid tutorial for creating an easy encaustic-type paper! Your collaged page is beautiful. I kind of lost the totem aspects in the finished product, though. I was expecting more of an emphasis on the purpose of totems in art. Thank you for sharing this lovely technique. ❤
Hi Kathleen, Thx and yes the prompts are to be reflective and don’t have to correspond to the Art you are creating in the moment. Be inspired to look at your previous art to see if you can observe any” art totems” as in my example of circles in my work for others whose work is more presentational it can be the things they commonly draw or use in their work or in my case in this video it’s my quirky flowers that I used in my collage. So many ways to approach this prompt 🥰✨
